First of all great and much needed win yesterday great team effort. Secondly we looked much happier playing 442 so please Warbo keep it simple no more so called sexy 3 at the back and wing backs then changing it when it's not working (again )! Thirdly is Warbo softening a bit in his rigid passing philosophy? In the press conference he said players were guilty of "overplaying" it at the back which is a hopefully a sign that's he's realised that it's safer and more effective to zip it around in their half rather than ours and has the added bonus that it's much better for my heart rate and stress levels which were sky high yesterday! Overall though well done you reds!

Yes that's my point FF we looked much more solid with 4 at the back than 3 in a shakey first half, much better 2nd half. In front of the back 4 I thought it was a compact 442 when attacking switching to 451 when out of possesion at least until Cummings was subbed. Would love to have Eddie Jones England rugby coach visit the City Ground and explain that although it's a different sport the best teams kick for territory then play wonderful attacking rugby in the opponents half rather than our own! You never saw a Clough team dicking about with the ball around our penalty area!

Stokey, I think you sum up the situation perfectly!

Sheff Utd had more possession proving its what you do when you have possession that counts and how you defend as a team without it rather than an obsession with "looking after the ball" just for the sake of controlling possession?

Redinexile. So true, if the players are trying to keep the ball in order to just stop the opposition having it the players are going to have their minds go numb, but if they are urged to get the ball in the oppositions half with lots of movement, pace, and accuracy of passing their minds remain sharp.
