forest expected to go in again today for grant leadbitter from northern echo newspaper
1.) Just mentioned on SSN! its to fuel their interests in Graham, Dorrans and another which I missed. I've got this horrible feeling that Lansbury is going, don't know why, but I really hope i'm wrong!
2.) Karanka is adamant he isn't going anywhere in todays Echo, hope he's wrong though!
3.) Forest expected to sign vaughan for small fee today graham to middlesbrough or forest but seems middlesbrough favs wickham out on loan to weds but several clubs interested
4.) Is that potentially a reason for the delay in the Vaughan deal? Seeing if we can get leadbitter first? Going to be an interesting day! Steve Bruce also saying he expects Hobbs to join us! If he does sign surely got to be an outgoing centre back?

6.) Laschelles is more than likely the player to be leaving, have been told to expect a surprise.

Let us get Hobbs and Vaughan in today, saw yesterday that we don't need another striker!

1.) Would be nice but at what cost? Looking less likely we will get automatic promotion. With qpr still looking to buy every available player think they would become our competition again.

there is every chance we can sign him but people seem to forget - does the player himself want to come? since there is only one automatic promotion place left now we would have to be favorites to land him as qpr will not need him.

14.) Agree the fee is very pricey, you want a lot of striker for 9 million, not sure if that's the fee mentioned though, he will also probably want wages around 30 grand a week atleast.
15.) Blackburn are in dire financial straits, so selling Rhodes isn't that far fetched. Selling to us/ Rhodes wanting to join us, or another championship team may be unlikely.

Looking at Burnley and their front men, yesterday we limited the supply to them and so they looked average. Llascells was outstanding and never missed a ball.

This was more of a sarcastic comment aimed at the so called expert pundits who continuously claim QPR have got this league all tied up. Best team, best players, best manager etc - you know all the drivel they normally come out with, mainly just because they got relegated they will automatically get promoted. Makes me sick to listen to them. We all know winning promotion after relegation is not a right but just try telling those narrow minded pundits that. Hope this clears it all up.

Promotion is worth over £100mil so spending £8mil to get it is a bargin and £92mil profit in the long run
24.) Just been on bird site, Palace in for Rhodes.
25.) Qpr are good yes but looking at their team sheet, there's not really any stand out players. To say they've spent a lot, I don't see a prem player in any of them. It's not even Xmas yet, there's a transfer window any many point to gain to it's anybody's for the taking. Against burnley was a really aid preformence that we need to take I to the reading game. We've got strikers that can put the work in and hold the ball up so someone to feed it to in the box is the missing link. I trust billy will address this and sort it so we can get a decent goal difference which I personally think is what we're going to need for a top 6 finish

palace are coming back down, so why would that be a better option than us who are in the hunt for promotion?
as with all players, if you splash the cash they come. simple

They are in free fall and looks certs to be relegated.
I expect him to be in the prem but with one of the smaller clubs that are struggling, and
will panic buy!

1.) I've been watching tv all flaming day and there's been nothing about this. The only thing tv have listed is that Palace are in talks with Forest for Geddi. As usual we get nobody.
2.) I heard it is only leister and middles borough who have approached them
3.) He's way past his sell by date not good enough for a team with Premiership ambitions!
4.) So we will have another striker with no pace. Am I the only one who thinks we seriously need some pace up front.

1.) I don't see the point in bidding for leadbitter or sako, yes they are quality players but we need quality strikers who are going to get us the goals. Midfield and defence sorted IMO

2.) Ed, nothing to do with post. If Miller is one of our biggest earners, why don't we use him ever? He is by all accounts a good player but we never use him.

5.) He is one of few big strong left sided strikers. If we get Leadbitter to sit in front then 4-3-3 with Miller top left would be awesome

Miller has had his chance and IMO should never ever, ever be allowed to wear the Forest shirt again after not playing Cohen through against Watford that is basic stuff that I would expect my under 9s team to follow never mind a so called pro footballer the quicker we are rid of him the better. Derbyshire needs to go aswell I know he scored again tonight but he's too lightweight and slow for a team that has aspirations of Prem Football. Leadbitter and Sako would be great signings to strengthen squad but we need a pacey striker from somewhere.
7.) Can't believe people slating Miller and Derbyshire yet don't slate Cox. For me Miller offers far more than Cox does, yes he got it wrong other day when he should have passed but he did look a threat.
8.) We would all love us to sign a new 'marque' striker but looking how Billy has been setting the side up is it really as much of a priority when we play one out and out forward and then build from midfield where we have quality players throughout who can all score goals - Cardiff went up the same way without a 15+ striker.
IMO Henderson when fit can spearhead our team to promotion if the midfield produce. Though Ed?

9.) People don't slate Cox because Cox has a lot of awareness, brings people into play and isn't selfish. Works hard through the entire game rather than Miller's one or two efforts through on goal which fail every single time. He shows a moment of brilliance, you brink, and it's gone. It's a shame, nothing against him personally as you can see he tries but it's just not enough as an out and out striker / target man, which he is supposed to be and Cox isn't supposed to be.
{Ed034's Note - cox's assists last season were as good as goals. Millers been skated for not passing to Cohen, when we all know cox would have done. Unfortunately there's a small section of forest fans that don't get how valuable cox is to the side
10.) Millers know were in the same class as cox. Get real.
11.) Our results when Cox doen't play seem better than when he does. Just saying like. As for assists Cox doesn't get that many, Blackstock gets far more. For me Cox is not intelligent enough to get into the right channels to score frequently, he doesn't give the other players chance to pick him out.
12.) A fully fit again Blackstock could score the goals we need, he was not suited to being the target man under previous managers, let hendo or halford do the donkey work and you'll see dexter flourish IMO
13.) The reason Miller never passed the ball to cohen was simple. From the moment he gets the ball his chin never left his chest and he never looked up. You can't coach that in a player at his age. i'm sure he is a good person, just not a good footballer

2.) How do we know that there's not a fee agreed? Just because it hasn't been mad epublic means nothing. Remember, our club play their cards close to their chests, with good reason!

If Hearts think that Holt wants to leave for Forest then they can give Holt permission to speak to Forest but if agree terms then Forest would then have to agree a fee with Hearts, if terms aren't agreed then doesn't matter if fee is agreed or not.
7.) I should imagine it's not that easy to get a work permit out of Egypt at the moment? {Ed034's Note - if anything it might be easier as players are not allowed to work, due to the unrest
8.) Come on wee man united know you want to. Don`t know much about you as a player. If I have just one tiny criticsm is that midfielders are although fast (as they are meant to be), are a bit lightweight Paterson, Abdoun and Holt if he comes. Geddy can`t leave as we need an Ox in the middle of the park to shepherd his flock!.
