Just one for Winter - I admire the way that you stand your ground when 3 other regular posters seem intent on deriding you on here. I find it all a bit sad that there are other so-called Forest supporters who seem more intent on slagging-off other fans than supporting their own team.

You just keep doing what you're doing Winter mate. I'll await the invite for Mrs L and myself to attend your housewarming. We'll bring copious amounts of 'Cornish Meal Pods' and maybe a few contraband tangerines for you.

Cheers, Lego, mate. I'm good for tangerines though, living abroad makes them fairly easy to get hold of. Pasties and Rattler, did you know, as a combination, they make the world go around.
And, honestly, mate, don't worry about sticking up for me. I don't worry what these Northern Janners think. Most head down your way this time of year anyway, bleedy Emmets. ? ?

Great stuff, Lego. I know what you mean about the Cornish "living abroad" like RRH. I have lived amongst a tribe called "The Potter People" for several years now. I have, I think, been finally accepted. Their language has taken me a long time to learn. The first time I heard the phrase "Kick a bo agin a wo and head it till yer bost it" I thought it was a pagan incantation. Words like "Senneytucked" and "Sneaped" were worrying.

They have a strong worship of clay objects called "pots" or "whimseys" and venerate their mythical god "Wedgewood". I have noticed also a veneration of primitive route one football, which is regrettable. Their written word, mainly Arnold Bennett, is not a patch on our Byron, D.H. Lawrence or Alan Sillitoe, but still decipherable...
But, once you get used to their ways, they can be very welcoming. ????

As a footnote, their tribal dance is much more violent than ours, led by the high priests Lemmy and Slash, whereas we are led by the more anodyne and reflective Bugg and Paper Lace. ???

Back on here saying what, Lego?
Nothing about Forest?

DTP, to paraphrase the great West Indian Marxist cricket writer CLR James... "What does he know of Forest, who only Forest knows?"...
