Postechoglou is waiting for that phone call ???.
27 Nov 2025 06:13:24
Is that FM 26 you're playing, Robin? I stopped playing that after 8 hours of play. Shocking gane. Everything about it is sh! te. UI is all over the place. Most things are 6 extra clicks away and the match engine is a complete waste. Player AI is non existent and some defenders get stuck in the mud when running back towards their goal.
27 Nov 2025 10:05:58
Everyone is entitled to their opinions, even if it is copied and pasted from Google. ??.
27 Nov 2025 11:18:24
What language are you speaking in? ……. ??????.
27 Nov 2025 12:04:33
Does that mean it is FM 26, Robin? Not copy and pasted either. I couldn't get on with it at all. I've gone back to FM 24 with last seasons squad update.
27 Nov 2025 12:18:25
Definitely not the one I use Stokey.
I have no idea what you're talking about Ravers.
27 Nov 2025 13:22:25
Yeah Ravers FM26, personally i think its way better than 24, more in depth opinions, 3D models could do with a little work but as you know they'll be working on updates behind the scenes.
PSR brings a whole new dimension to the Premier league and I'm loving that its finally fully licensed.
AI seems okay on mine but does glitch from time to time, not had issues with defenders getting stuck in mud but occasionally my holding midfielder becomes a headless chicken on speed, aimlessly running from side to side, brilliant when its Sangare because he looks massive on it ??.
27 Nov 2025 16:17:36
Oh for the days of Subbuteo.
26 Nov 2025 21:53:24
Slot done on that evidence. Hero to zero in a matter of months.
Typical Dutch, play slowly from the back and let everyone get behind the ball to stop them.
Took over from klopp's fast attacking side and won with know he's signed players with no pace and list two in alexander Arnold and Diaz who had pace.
Just shows how quickly football can change.

26 Nov 2025 22:34:32
Edd do you think slot can survive after tonight?
Does he get to say who he wants to sign or is he just the coach?
{Ed001's Note - no, I think he was done before tonight. He is just head coach, Edwards came back on proviso no head coach would have final say on signings again.}
26 Nov 2025 22:52:31
If i was a Liverpool supporter I'd be furious with Salah for PSVs second, ran in and let the left back run a will, poor poor poor.
Can we play them every week? ???.
26 Nov 2025 22:55:12
Just interested in how Liverpool run things
So do you blame Edwards?
It seems like theirs a few on here that certainly blame Edu for our gall from grace
I still blame the coach personally.
{Ed001's Note - no, this is all on Slot, they bought him players for the style of play he came with and he decided to change it completely. His mess.}
26 Nov 2025 23:08:46
Thanks edd what's your view on forest and edu?
{Ed001's Note - I didn't think Edu had all that much involvement, he is working for the group rather than Forest isn't he?}
26 Nov 2025 23:14:19
He is Ed but the masses need a scapegoat and they have chosen Edu. Well i say masses, just some wollys on here. ?.
26 Nov 2025 23:22:07
That's what I've been trying to say edd
He's not in charge of recruitment at all
It's about marinakis employing him as a global developer of all marinakis clubs?
I guess some want to find a scapegoat.
27 Nov 2025 06:46:28
Liverpool should keep Slot. Give him a new contract. ??.
27 Nov 2025 07:38:38
How I think it works with Edu:
He has influence and advises Marinakis clubs on transfer policy and other development issues like recruiting coaches and investment in training and facilities. So advises on age of players to target, what leagues they are likely to find them, he probably has lists and data on the type of player each clubs recruitment team is targeting as leads. I'm guessing he also works with clubs finance teams to work out budgets.
The clubs then work with their own lists and also follow leads from Edu, contact players and stuff, which Marinakis and Edu's extensive contacts with clubs and agents help with. The clubs teams then find out who is available and pick who they want.
Marinakis and Edu meet with the clubs team once they want to sign a player or sell one and clear it.
Sometimes if Marinakis or Edu know a player's agent or club well, they take a bigger part in negotiations, especially if it's a marquee signing.
Marinakis and Edu won't have time (Marinakis runs other clubs and businesses too and Edu works for several clubs) to micromanage and decide every player scouted, approached and picked, they are overseers, like you get in most businesses.
SO Marinakis and Edu have a part in it all, but aren't solely to blame for every signing or coaching appointment.
Ultimately, a club or any company's performance is down to the man at the top. And Marinakis has got us from bottom of the championship to in a position to qualify for the Champions League.
27 Nov 2025 10:11:03
Good post Cyclist ??.
27 Nov 2025 11:24:21
Edu has, Mr m has last say on sign fact. he also has a very big role in managers bought in and the style of football we play. he bought amge in and wanted attacking football how did that work out ??.
27 Nov 2025 11:26:46
Edu has a lot of say in transfers as he does managers we bring in and your right cyclist at the end of the day maranakis as bought us this far. but that was without edus help. fact.
27 Nov 2025 11:19:24
Dtp ed said he doesn't think. edu has last say on every signing like Mr m does. fact. also I remember you asking ed wether he thought nuno was going to be a good coach for us when he joined I remember it well and that was a no.
so eds are not always right like everyone. And I don't take advice about forest from Liverpool fans.
27 Nov 2025 13:23:56
Jay, you are in support of the manager Edu and Syrianos have appointed. Whereas the manager Marinakis appointed was too far the other way from the low-block thing on the evidence of what we saw. Maybe Adu is a good thing in terms of helping Marinakis run things.
I think the jury is still out on Edu. If he has a 4-year plan or something, no way can we know whether it's working yet.
26 Nov 2025 19:28:57
Going to stick my neck out here, Ballon d'Or winner next season.

Thoughts and prayers for those poor victims in Hong Kong. ?.
26 Nov 2025 22:08:25
I think with a home game tomorrow and on Sunday and therefore no travelling we might put a strong team out as we will have more recovery time.
Team selection will be interesting. I’d think about giving Kalimuendo a game, at least a start
In Dyche we trust but potentially a banana skin tomorrow if we aren’t careful and go with a weak line up.

Very interesting Ed and a good read.
I gave to entirely agree with your take on the Liverpool V Forest game.
I rewatched the game entirely yesterday in a calm analytical frame of mindnow the emotion has dissipated.
Virgil, McCalister, Isak and Konate particularly looked unfit and ponderous. Gravenburg and Salah did well and looked dangerous on the ball but the rest looked one paced and disinterested.
Forest looked completely comfortable out of possession and, as you say, picked Liverpool off on the counter. There were 2 phases of play in the second half which summed up Dyche ball and its effectiveness.
One was when Liverpool had the ball for a chunk of time, around 5 or 6 minutes continuous ly when Forest sat off and didn’t touch it at all. They went from side to side, left to right and back again laterally and finished eventually with a shot from Slobesli from 35 along the ground which Sels had all day to fall on.
I know our goalkeeper hasn’t been in Golden Gloves form recently but even I could have saved it. A shot born of frustration….
The second point was when, for a couple of minutes, again 2nd half, when the game opened up and became more end to end. Dyche was out bellowing furiously to get back into formation and screw this adventurous toe to toe slugging stuff. It was indicative of his pragmatic approach. If it’s working, don’t change it.
Slot looked absolutely lost and bereft of ideas when the 3rd went in. I’m sure, Ed, he will sort it. He’s not become a bad coach overnight and with Liverpools resources and reputation new blood will arrive, particularly defensively in January ( hopefully not Murillo or Malenkovic)
{Ed001's Note - thank you, and I like your analysis, very interesting stuff. I have to disagree on Slot, I am not sure he is capable of turning it around because he has picked out the wrong lessons from last season. And he has still not accepted that physicality is a massive part of things in the Prem.}
26 Nov 2025 13:07:48
Seems to me that Slot has been found out ED, won't change his system no matter what, similar to Ange, Amorin and the Barcelona boss last night. These type of managers who are inflexible will all get sussed over time.
But as Stokey said great write up mate and it's actually refreshing reading it from an opponents point of view.
I hate having to read match assessments from the main stream media, always focus on the mistakes from the bigger sides and never give credit where its due. ?.
{Ed001's Note - I think Slot has changed too much, he has moved away from the style he used in the Eredivisie.}
26 Nov 2025 16:37:05
Like Nuno got sussed, you mean? Agree.
26 Nov 2025 19:20:10
Yeah cyclist, people here forget that after April the 1st once sussed we never kept another competitive clean sheet under Nuno. ?.
26 Nov 2025 20:20:44
How can people forget? ?
The Nuno out brigade have done nothing but go on about it on here since he left ?.
26 Nov 2025 20:30:55
Surely Liverpool, Forest and the majority of clubs would have had that discussion with the potential Manager, regarding tactics, and their approach to certain situations/ Scenarios and a "Plan B" should they arise?
Just saying folks.
26 Nov 2025 22:14:01
Just a question Fred
How do you feel Dyche is doing?
A good fit?
Nuno dug his own grave, and that's gone.
25 Nov 2025 21:58:33
There's a lesson to be learned by some of our players who are being courted by "Bigger clubs! ", it's not working out for Elanga, 65 minute sub tonight, 85 minute time wasting sub at the weekend, grass isn't always greener.

The dollars are though mossy
How about a swap
Anderson, 30 million plus elanga and Murphy?
26 Nov 2025 09:00:37
You could see Newcastle would try that to get Anderson back, Elanga didn't appreciate how strong Newcastle was in his position or he did, but just wanted to join his mate Isak who promptly went on strike!.
26 Nov 2025 09:03:27
Who gets the 30m?
26 Nov 2025 12:11:19
Elanga gazz ?.
26 Nov 2025 13:00:09

26 Nov 2025 13:14:55
How about Mr M tells them all to do one and we keep our best players? ?.
26 Nov 2025 15:32:40
Why would anyone want a player back that was happy to leave us ?? he's gone on to do nothing at Newcastle? And for him personally it would be a step back. let him rot on the Newcastle bench.
26 Nov 2025 22:05:31
He didn't ask to leave skeggs
We accepted a bid we thought could not be turned down
Why Newcastle prioritised him as a must signing made no sense anyway
They had, Barnes, Murphy and Gordon already?
Elanga a real good fit at forest and I'll never knock him
I'd have him back tomorrow
Think Anderson will end up at Arsenal, but not in January.
25 Nov 2025 17:06:24
Ronaldo not banned for the World Cup finals next year. After a red card for violent conduct which normally carries a 3 match ban. But we can't have a player like Ronaldo missing for any matches in the World Cup. I wonder if a lesser known player would get the same treatment or would he have to serve all 3 matches.

Not surprised in the slightest. not looking forward to him glancing up at the cameras every 40 seconds, to see if he's on them!
25 Nov 2025 21:49:02
With American money comes rules to make the game palatable for there supporters, seeding for teams for the first time, like Tennis, as for Ronaldo he's been a character on "The Simpsons" a "Soccer" player the Americans know.

You only have to look at the run Villa have put together since the end of October to see how quickly you can climb up the table
Tight league so far, barring Arsenal and wolves at either end.
25 Nov 2025 11:25:39
Don't know much about the Euro VAR, but I presume they aren't familiar with all the Prem teams.
Talking about VAR: Mr Madley took his time to penalise Jesus at Anfield. (Why, he had the best view).
But against Brentford in August he quickly rejected Forest's penalty claim from the Anderson free kick when on VAR duty! (Worth looking at the two together).
That's one less Christmas card for you Andy!
25 Nov 2025 15:55:20
Plenty of points to play for and we are definitely on the right trajectory. Another 7-0 Sunday, anyone?
25 Nov 2025 15:55:28
Anyone?
25 Nov 2025 16:45:12
I think Brighton are a much improved side than last season Silk so it’s unlikely. That day, every mistake they made turned to disaster and everything we tried turned to gold! If memory serves me right it came right after our 5 nil drubbing against Bournemouth?
25 Nov 2025 22:35:24
I'll take a one nil you still only get three points at end of the day.

I see the vultures are circling over Murrilo and Anderson easy to solve win the Europa league this year Champions League football next season season no need to move on or the alternative demand 120m for each of them
Arsenal Man Utd Chelsea and Barcelona need to be aware that is the price in January and June next year if Isak and Wirtz are worth that then so are they.
We don’t need to sell so put up or shut up.
Everyone looks to be enjoying their football again
