Have it on a usually reliable authority that Philipp Hosiner is one of the four. No idea about the other three as so many names are being banded about, but I'm told this one keeps coming up.

Money saved on the Djebbour deal is clearly being put to better use.

Believable24 Unbelievable15

Hoosier is a really good player scored 34 goals last season

Agree3 Disagree1

If this is correct he would be great 32 goals in 39 games

Agree1 Disagree1

I really really really really hope this is true.
This lad is head and shoulders above any other striker mentioned on the rumour site in recent days. He WILL score the Desirable 20 goals probably by Christmas worth every penny if we get him.

Agree2 Disagree0

Please guys you have never even heard of him! good old you tube and wiki

Agree0 Disagree1

4 being reported as Charlie Austin, David Lopez, Grant Leadbitter and Jason Holt {Ed034's Note - yeah by an idiot who pretends to me itk. The guy is a moron

Agree0 Disagree1

On 20th June this was reported about him;
The 24-year-old is currently with Austria Vienna, but Hoffenheim have made a move to secure his services.

However, the two clubs seems some way apart in terms of valuation.

"No player or manager from a club in Austria can turn down a serious approach from a club from Germany. That is a fact, " he told Osterreich newspaper

"Hoffenheim 1899 has been very busy convincing me and I really had a great feeling right from the start.

"I want to join the club, an other club is not an issue for me at this point in time. "

Agree1 Disagree0

Ignore me then, apologies. Do think something may be in the David Lopez rumour? Billy has been interested in the past {Ed034's Note - I don't think so, but to b fair, it Could be anyone

Agree0 Disagree0

All of the above are non starters i'm afraid

Agree1 Disagree0

Hope this is true, he looks awesome!

Agree0 Disagree0

Surprise me Forest as last few days have made me sceptical I`m afraid. {Ed034's Note - of what?? A guy we had agreed to sign, had got the paperwork in place and was halfway thorough the medical, decided not to finish it. Surely this is something that should make you think the club is in safe hands, as they will to bend the rules for no one

Agree0 Disagree0

Shhhh. Hull or Wigan might get in before us.

Agree1 Disagree0

Ok I've watched yt and i'm sure if one of our strikers (cox, blackstock or sharp if he came ) gets the service this this guy gets, i'm sure any one of them could bag us plenty of goals!

Agree1 Disagree0

Please guys you have never even heard of him! good old you tube and wiki

Like any of us knew of Djabbour before the other day.

Agree0 Disagree1

Exactly my point! let's just see what happens

East Midlands today just said that Firest were close to signing 4 people not including wes morgan

Believable17 Unbelievable22

I'm taking the stance of 'I'll believe it when I see it'. A lot of talk going on.

No doubt Shorey, Whittingham, Pratley and perhaps Gary McAllister who also didn't cone in the late 80s early 90s after seeing what happened to John Sheridan!

Agree2 Disagree0

Spot on {Ed034's Note - my old snooker club

Agree2 Disagree0

Rumours are rumours we've had bids
Rejected pulled out of deals for medical
Reasons I have high hopes we will
Bring in the quality players

Agree3 Disagree0

I love NFFC, and I'm a supporter of Billy Davies whilst he's in charge, but I garuntee he will moan about the lack of transfers if we lose in the first few games. Come on Fawaz and cronies get the signings in and let's get gelling.

Agree2 Disagree2

But it's emt they are our only hope

Agree2 Disagree0

Firest? Seriously {Ed034's Note - the posters done a typo. Now lets all lave it at that

Agree0 Disagree0

Dawson, carayol, mulenga and holt that's my shout

Agree0 Disagree1

It doesn't take much for negativity to set in does it? Just because tv or bbc say we have had bids rejected! No one knows what's going on apart from the club and they have been very tight lipped so far. We already have a good squad and its only going to get better fellas before the window closes in September

Keeno

Agree1 Disagree0

The club are doing their best to get players in you can't make people sell if they don't want to except by offering silly money which in my opinion would be stupid, you can't force people to take medicals if they don't want to, and as for Billy moaning well if we had all the players that he wants and things don't go well it will be everybody's fault except Billy's, that's the way he is and is one of my reasons for not liking him

Agree0 Disagree0

Red tony! billy doesn't do the bidding I can assure you that, he's a great manager and motivator that gets a team playing football the right way. We are limited by our status in the championship no offense you are entitled to you own opinion and I respect that, but I hope I'm not sat next to you next season cause you sound like the sort of fickle fan that gets right up my nose. Spouting that sort of rubbish. billies record at forest is excellent get behind him or go watch a already made prem team. And not us on our rise to the top

Agree2 Disagree0

Fawaz said he would support him and get him who he needs so if he doesn`t can`t blame Billy. If he does and it goes tits up, it`s up to Billy. For example when Billy Sharp nets 25 times this season in another shirt!

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope this to be true, but I cannot honestly see it, believe it when I see it officially announced and see these "four" players holding up the garabaldi

Agree0 Disagree0

If we sign 4 players that nobody has posted rumours about I will be well chuffed because it means Forest are doing the businesss quietly and surely :)

Agree2 Disagree0

My word some peoples lack of basic understanding is very impressive.

There is a difference between trying to buy a player but failing trough no fault of your own and saying you tried to sign a player when you never had any intention to do a deal.
That's what used to happen with Marthur and ND but they're history!

Billy has told you all we have a very determined and ambitious owner. What more do you want to hear?

I hope he buys all you big babies a rattle soon so we can switch you off for 2 mins.

Agree2 Disagree1

Andy king anyone?

Agree0 Disagree0

Please let it be Dawson!

Phil.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wots up with some fans ( cut the drama ) billy will have em ready whoever we've got in the squad. there's 22 days too go so let's get behind em and make that ground rock.

Agree2 Disagree0

This is true because it said that forest are in the final stages of signing four new players but the deal for morgan could drag on

Agree2 Disagree0

Is fbeavon the copper from allo allo.

Agree0 Disagree0

The poster who mentions big babies will undoubtably get the biggest rattle, I bet he is too big to get into his pram.

Agree0 Disagree0

The poster who replied to red tony saying he respected him, then goes on a rant to show his total disrespect of him. barmy.

Agree1 Disagree0

Billy sharp scoring 25 goals in a different shirt, gosh I think I've wet myself laughing.

Aron johansson is the sriker I've bin told by a mate? Never heard of him anyone help?

Believable6 Unbelievable14

Has been Iceland U21 playing for AZ Alkmaar. Not bad goal scoring ratio and still only 22.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 year old forward, plays for AZ Alkmaar and has 41 goals in 120 appearances. Valued at around £2m and only signed for Alkmaar in January.

Your mate's info would appear to be duff. No way would he be sold 6 months in to his contract unless something is wrong!

Agree0 Disagree0

You mean Aron Jóhannsson? From AZ - seems unlikely as he hasn't been with them for long.

Agree0 Disagree0

We are in the final stages of signing 4 new players and that's without big Wes, Source BBC EAST MIDS

Agree1 Disagree0

More like Iceland midfielder Eggert Jonsson he has left Wolves sounds abit more like it

Agree0 Disagree0

Aron Johannsson came to AZ half a year ago from AGF in Denmark, so know him really well from the Danish League. Sorry, he ain't got Championship class, hard working and score some goals, but he will not come to many chances against strong defenders in the Championship.
Once again, get us Sharp, he is THE MAN!

Nottingham Forest to launch 2.5mil bid to sign German international Esswein

Believable17 Unbelievable16

Left winger, 195 club and country appearances, 48 goals, 23 years old. Seems a good deal at £2.5m but where has the info come from?

I don't see this happening

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah ok, where does this stuff come from

Agree1 Disagree0

I hope that's Alexander and not Kevin

Agree0 Disagree0

I live in Germany, not heard this one over here, but he was talked about a lot season about going to a bigger club!

Agree0 Disagree0

This guy is prem quality

Agree1 Disagree0

Really good on fifa ;D

Agree0 Disagree0

He's amazingly overpowered on fifa but in real life he ain't so good imo

Would be a tremendous signing. I am from Germany. This lad has a lot of potential

Adamoah to sign tommoro reliable source

Believable15 Unbelievable21

Albert Adomah from bristol city? If so would be a great addition to the squad!

Agree2 Disagree0

Going to Wigan

Keeno

Agree1 Disagree0

Thought Cardiff (as BCFC said a Premiership Club had bid for him) were the team that made a bid for him that was turned down that made him hand in a transfer request so I would've thought they would be in pole position to sign him

Agree0 Disagree0

So is your source saying that we have agreed a fee, the player has agreed personal terms and passed a medical? He only submitted a transfer request yesterday. Love it to be true but sounds unlikely.

Agree1 Disagree1

Sounds like a panic buy to me. i'd prefer to hold out for a bit more Quality. Good things come to those who bide their time. {Ed034's Note - haha speechless

Agree0 Disagree0

Remember, none of this stuff has come from the official site so it's just guessing games. No need to blame the club if it doesn't happen, that's life. Competition for the best players signatures is just as tough as competition for points in the league and I'd go as far as to argue it's the same thing. Hold tight you trees, it'll be sound. The top man want's promotion and he say's we've got till the end of September so chill out.

Agree1 Disagree0

Surely he would have the medical tommorow and agree contract tommorow and then be announced?

Agree0 Disagree0

I wouldn't expect him to sign on a saturday. But to the poster that said he must have agreed personal terms and had a medical. why?

You agree a fee with his club, then agree personal terms (normally with his agent these days) and then the player has his medical, normally only hours before signing.

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe city would not let him go unless he put in a transfer request

Agree2 Disagree0

Nice way of trying to cheer people up. but what are you going to say when it doesn't happen?

Agree0 Disagree0

So Trickster, you think the club can agree a fee, the players agent can agree personal terms and the player can have and pass a medical all in one day - don't think it works like that unless it's the last day of the transfer window.

Agree0 Disagree0

The rumour mill seems to suggest he is signing for someone else, not us.

Agree0 Disagree0

This reliable source. is it a crystal ball or tea leaves, just asking like.

Agree0 Disagree0

What will I say if it doesn't happen? I'll say, let's get on with it and find someone else. If we don't find anyone else then the guys who are already at the club who nearly bagged a play off place last year will surely hold their own.

We might go out and get some fresh blood in January ready for the play off push and see that all these expensive flops we've just missed out on weren't actually worth signing anyway.

Albert Adomah isn't the team and neither is some Algerian dude, Nottingham forest is the team and we still have just about everyone who was here last season apart from McGugan who let's face it hardly got a kick.

Not good enough for the prem? Well maybe not but you can worry about that when you get the cheque for £120 million (estimate on Hull's total extra revenue for next year from Delloite)

We do need extra bodies in certain positions but look how many players have been released in the last few weeks, come the last week of the window there's going to be a lot of footballers who's bargaining power has been severely diminished.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not really what I was saying, no, what I was saying is that agreeing a fee is easy for a player that is for sale.
Then getting an agreement in principle is similarly not difficult. The player wants to leave, his agent must have an idea of what they want.
So this could easily be done in 2 days since he requested a transfer.
Then if the player is coming to the club tomorrow, meeting the manager and having a medical in on one day is par for the course.

Agree0 Disagree0

Who's adamoah? {Ed034's Note - adomah

Agree0 Disagree0

Looking forward to Adomah signing today, what time will he be announced?

2nd bid for wes morgan turned down according to natalie jackson. thought to be between 1 and 2 million.

Believable24 Unbelievable10

How come the media know about this? Don't seem to hear about this 'up you offer' strategy from other clubs? Can't all parties just sit down and arrive at a figure, without all this publicity?

Agree2 Disagree0

So it must be time for plan B.

Agree1 Disagree0

Allegedly Leicester have said he's not for sale so have no interest in sitting down. Fawaz & Davies have already said they will not discuss any transfer target with the press, so must likely leaked by Leicester, agent or just journalist spin.

Agree1 Disagree0

Isn't this 3rd bid? time for numbers 13 and 14 players added on the list of 12

Agree0 Disagree0

How on earth does nat j (i would) get her info then? and you can't tell me fawaz's mate is releasing his bird noise notes without fawaz's permission?

Agree0 Disagree1

Ad go for craig dawson instead younger and better

Agree0 Disagree0

Dawson. I agree!

Agree0 Disagree0

Really needs Wes to man up and put a transfer request in then Fester may consider it

Agree0 Disagree0

There are two possible reason Forest have for leaking info on this bid. 1 to encourage Wes to push for a move his end, and 2 as a show of intent to the fans. It could be a PR stunt. Wes might be totally settled, Leicester may never sell, but it's not stopping us from trying to take the best player from the richest club in the division. If this is the case, it's a risky pr strategy. Fans aren't stupid and eventually they're going to have to bring in a top target or two. There is no way that of the 5 players we've brought in, either of them would be among Billy Davies top targets. Not unless his definition of Stellar has changed.

Agree0 Disagree0

Tells you some thing about some one when they actually admit to "i would" regarding nat j. must have a grudge against a certain part of their anatomy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Forest have had a 2nd bid rejected for Hearts midfielder Holt.

Believable18 Unbelievable8

Sounds like normal some other team will bid near what the player is worth and get him, if you want him just bid what he is worth and not silly bids the list of 12players must be near the end now, we have 0 of 12 new list needed

Agree2 Disagree1

Saw on some website that values players and gives some career stats that Holt is only valued at £100k. In real life, we know this isn't true but wonder what a 20 year old midfielder is actually worth who has only had 1 proper season.

Agree1 Disagree0

I have just read that the second bid was around £75,000!

Agree0 Disagree0

Has it not occurred to anyone that some agents may have got the idea that Forest are a fabulously wealthy club now and as with Fester they are trying to get as much as possible even for sub standard players. Remember they get their cut from the transfer fee too.
I think clubs know Fawaz has money and now they are trying to take advantage. Let's see how much other clubs offer for players like Morgan and Holt.

Agree3 Disagree0

It's the administrators that have turned the bid down. I'm sure if we bid a little more we may get the guy, no point in offering over the odds with you first bids.

Agree0 Disagree0

Billy said it is silly season this early on in the transfer market

Agree1 Disagree0

It may be silly season - but there's certainly benefits in getting people in early doors ie. full pre season with the squad, settling in quicker etc. surely (within reason) that's worth paying for? If not we are likely to be playing catch up at the start of the next season.

Agree0 Disagree0

We have the squad together, the players we bring in now are the final touches. Not a big deal with settling in, footballs a simple game and if they're top professionals then they'll be fit and ready to go now

Agree1 Disagree0

All these clubs can try to stop us but it's only a matter of time. I actually find it refreshing we're doing the chasing and not the selling!

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Jul 2013 10:23:02
Fawaz refusing to give up on Morgan and will table a further bid shortly believed to be in the region of £2m, this should be enough for the Leicester board to take us seriously!

Believable16 Unbelievable13

Good player but not worth £2m

Agree2 Disagree0

I hope we do get Morgan back was a real fan fav and prob the best defender outside prem only fear is that they may push us to 2.5 mil to get him

Agree0 Disagree0

Removing the rose tinted spectacles is Wes really worth 2 million?
i can think of that money being better spent elsewhere

Agree1 Disagree0

Why didn't we just sign ward on a free just as good. Same as Simeon Jackson cost nothing should have signed him up

Agree0 Disagree1

Really 2m! Fawaz he was not that good when he was here the first time around. Would be a poor signing even if he was in the championship team of the year. as some supporters keep reminding us!

Agree0 Disagree1

Yeah that serious that our second bid has been rejected, time to give up on this one I'm afraid.

Agree0 Disagree0

Who else could we get?morgan fits the bill for me, reality is that we are not going to attract any defender of higher standard, Morgan's in his prime, right time to get him back

Agree0 Disagree0

I totally agree with the guy regarding ward and jackson, I would have been happy with both those on a free. when you think about it do you think wes and sharp are worth the said 4million more. I don't not one bit!

Morning fellow trickies, right boro rag are linking us with interest in carayol leadbitter and Williams, all would be good additions IMO especially carayol. Would like to see boltons Craig Dawson as I've heard we are interested in him. and mulenga and/ or sharp I think this would be a very good window if we can pull these off. And would make us real contenders

Believable14 Unbelievable14

The same paper mentions our initial offer for Leadbitter was £400,000, rising to £800,000 before breaking £1m at the third attempt. I understand you've hot to get the right deal but making offers like that for a clubs player of the year is just offensive. No wonder we've been concentrating on free agents if Fawaz is unable to offer a reasonable amount for a contracted player. {Ed034's Note - but how is it?? I really do not understand what's offensive about it. If a team offers money for one if your players, then you should be flattered not offended, as it means you have a good player. How can a football club be offended about another football club bidding for one of there player??

Agree1 Disagree1

Dawson is from West Brom, he was only on loan to Bolton but yeah. he would be a great signing along with the others you mention.

Phil.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't forget boro are not in great shape financially, so I don't see any harm in testing the waters so to speak, it's the way that most clubs will try do a deal. It's not always the case that the details behind a bid history are ever disclosed with the public.

Agree1 Disagree0

Whilst I see your point, Ed034, I think the poster/ee (?) point was offering 400k as an opening salvo for another team's POTY.

£1m sounds a bit more reasonable.
Personally speaking, Leadbitter as a leader is worth £1.5m.

He could do a decent enough hatchet job in CM, but, if it were my money, I wouldn't go above £1. 7-£1. 8 {Ed034's Note - bit it is our prerogative to bid what we want, just like it is there's to say no. There's nothing offensive about doing either. It's just football. I am pretty sure boro would have done the same in the past

Agree0 Disagree0

It is the way football transfers have always been conducted. Why pay a million pounds if a bit of gentle persuasion gets you a player for half of that.

Agree1 Disagree0

Sick of being linked with players, its time for proper bids. we know when the season starts. GET ON WITH IT.

Agree0 Disagree0

I wouldn't go over a million because I don't think he adds much that Guedioura doesn't have

Agree0 Disagree0

I`m sorry but these clubs are not going to sell the lynchpins of their teams are they or what is the point competing in the Championship this year?. I`m afraid it is either going to be lower league players who want to advance their careers, premiership players surplus to requirements or players playing abroad. It`s like us letting Geddy go to Reading for £500,000. It`s not going to happen. Same with Wes. He isn`t going to leave Leicester.

Agree2 Disagree1

As is life, some people walk into a car showroom and pay full price no questions asked others try for a deal and usually end up with money off and say a few extras etc etc
Fawaz won't b daft enough to go in and offer big bucks straight off he's a successful business man who I imagine does deals worth millions regulary

Agree0 Disagree1

For all we know they are doing. forest keep everything close to their chest now. All the leaks were plugged when marthur was booted out. There's every chance clubs and agents are going to drag things out for the best deal so it's nothing new

Agree0 Disagree0

By definition, the term "deal" is an agreement entered into by two or more parties for their mutual benefit, esp. in a business or political context.

To pay what is asked 1st time round is just doing a Chelski, or in more common terms, buying. This may not be in the best interest of both parties.

Nothing wrong with a cheeky bid, I'm sure Fawaz knew £400k would be refused but he was able to guage the reaction and countered accordingly. {Ed034's Note -

Agree2 Disagree0

A lot of people do not understand the art of negotiation. You start at a low price,
The seller starts at a high price and hopefully you reach an agreement somewhere in the middle that suits both parties.

Agree2 Disagree1

To the post that says he had no service. Been same all season after Xmas he was tosh seems only o'Driscoll can get the best out of him. People are saying don't buy we'd if we are going for premiership the same for sharpe IMO
