Iker Hernandez is the new striker.

Believable3 Unbelievable6

03 Aug 2015 21:39:44
Plays for Real Sociadad in Spain, information leaked by own club and contacts in Spain.

03 Aug 2015 21:42:39
Never heard of him.

Agree4 Disagree0

03 Aug 2015 21:49:21
Hardly exciting like df stated lol

Agree0 Disagree1

03 Aug 2015 21:49:34
Hardly prolific, but it is La Liga so will give him a go. Bit underwhelmed I this is the case!

Agree0 Disagree1

03 Aug 2015 22:22:12
B team player, no Europa league experience, not sure he fits the profile.

Agree3 Disagree0

03 Aug 2015 23:03:46
How can it be him when you said it was hooper?has everyone wet themselves with excitement?

Agree2 Disagree0

03 Aug 2015 23:23:18
We haven't even given him a game and yet you lot are already crying about it.

Of course.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Aug 2015 23:42:16
we're mid table championship . little unusual to quote the Europa league experience thing anyway

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Aug 2015 23:45:26
Sandro Wagner from Hertha Berlin being mentioned on news sites - Leeds also interested.

Agree1 Disagree0

03 Aug 2015 23:53:12
I'm not so sure yet. let's just wait until confirmation from club before we start criticising the move. I for one would say this isn't the striker DF was talking about: Fans are not excited, 20 teams would hardly be interested and would Maynard be let go for an unproven Spanish B team player?

Agree1 Disagree0

04 Aug 2015 07:12:35
It's not him anyway.it was from a Spanish rumour site.

Agree1 Disagree0

04 Aug 2015 15:13:48
Didn't score a single goal last season, quick, sign him up!

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Aug 2015 19:41:32
Ben Hamer gone back to Liecester
as we can't afford the £250.000 Bond money. DF had big row with Fawaz adviser today
We are in a sorry state

Believable0 Unbelievable15

03 Aug 2015 20:00:48
Surely not! Please someone say this isn't true. Not only do we lose Hamer but another slice of credibility gone meaning no one including the mystery striker will want to sign. If this is true I honestly believe its the beginning of the end of this era. Can't carry on like this. DF will walk and then where are we?

Agree3 Disagree0

03 Aug 2015 20:02:55
Where does this information come from, I have never heard of this "bond". Surely Leicester would not have agreed to the loan if there was going to be a problem.

Agree5 Disagree0

03 Aug 2015 20:15:38
We are not allowed to pay any money under FFP ruling, plus i have not seen this anywhere else

Agree0 Disagree2

03 Aug 2015 20:21:31
Is that why we are still being linked with the keeper from Southend.

Agree1 Disagree0

03 Aug 2015 20:40:51
The Hamer loan is down as a done deal on slysports. If there was a fee surely it would of been sorted before the deal was finalised.

Agree4 Disagree0

03 Aug 2015 20:41:59
Handing money over for a player is against the rules as we are under an embargo so who actually agreed to it?

Agree0 Disagree3

03 Aug 2015 20:42:40
The info is from the club.
all loans have to put up a bond for a loan player in case he gets injured (which we are allowed to pay under ffp)

Agree1 Disagree2

03 Aug 2015 20:46:20
U say can't afford it do you mean we aren't allowed to pay it?massive difference

Agree0 Disagree2

03 Aug 2015 21:09:49
No Can't afford to pay He has been sent back to Leicester
The fee should have been paid before the Villa game but was not and that is why He didn't play

Agree1 Disagree2

03 Aug 2015 21:24:00
Hope this is rubbish

Agree4 Disagree0

03 Aug 2015 21:38:42
Complete tosh. Full season loan.

Agree2 Disagree0

03 Aug 2015 22:51:07
if this was true surely liecester would have said summat by now just to rub it in

Agree2 Disagree0

03 Aug 2015 22:56:40
If this was true then why would they put him on the bench?

Agree3 Disagree0

04 Aug 2015 05:49:13
this rumour makes me really angry, its based on no fact at all, nothing written anywhere to support and spreads bad feeling! BOOOOOOOO!

Agree2 Disagree0

04 Aug 2015 07:15:09
Like I said can't pay or havnt?if this were true Natalie Jackson would of been all over it like she was all over billy Davies (apparently)

Agree3 Disagree0

04 Aug 2015 12:35:53
Why make this stuff up? It's ridiculous.

Or if you haven't made it up, why not research it a little bit before posting? It's not hard.

Agree0 Disagree1

04 Aug 2015 13:20:09
Is a FFP issue that causing issue with the signing.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Aug 2015 15:44:05
fair play. spot on with this rumour and after everyone told you he wasnt

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Aug 2015 16:37:15
Former FA Club England MD Adrian Bevington is to join nffc - initially on consultancy basis to advise Fawaz.

Believable5 Unbelievable0

03 Aug 2015 18:11:04
About time.

Agree3 Disagree0

03 Aug 2015 19:32:13
Bevington's background is in PR and communications. So it seems someone will be able to stop some of the gaffes that FAH has been making and organise they way information comes out of the club. We need it.

Agree1 Disagree0

03 Aug 2015 23:56:25
Good appointment. We need a consultant to educate our owner running a football club before we hire another CEO

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Aug 2015 06:56:40
Latest on loan striker, DF says that he is hopefully about to announce a loan striker that will excite the fans, that it will be a great signing for a championship club. The deal is not fully finalised, but could be within 48 hours, however it may not be fully sorted before the trip to Brighton. He indicates that the player owes him a big favour, and is going to repay that favour to me.

Believable4 Unbelievable3

03 Aug 2015 07:22:55
Got to be Glenn Murray hasn't it?

Agree0 Disagree6

03 Aug 2015 07:24:13
Glenn Murray? However with Dwight Gayle leaving for Fulham may scupper a potential deal.

Agree0 Disagree6

03 Aug 2015 08:23:51
Odemwinge??

Agree2 Disagree5

03 Aug 2015 08:25:15
Tried posting on here the other day but admin obviously didn't find it worthy! But odds dropped for Gary hooper joining forest definitely a good striker and could come on loan with option to buy after ffp

Agree7 Disagree0

03 Aug 2015 08:34:33
Bournemouth have had a bid accept for Murray so doubt it's him, though DF said it was the Manager that owed him a big favour not the player (though I could've read that wrong)

Agree2 Disagree0

03 Aug 2015 08:52:38
Not been this excited about a signing since Cloughie told us he was signing a proven striker to keep us up, mad we ended up with Robert Rosario!

Agree0 Disagree2

03 Aug 2015 09:07:40
Having read DF interview its not a loan signing!!!

Agree3 Disagree4

03 Aug 2015 09:19:57
It's Gary Hooper, the manager that owes him a favour is the Norwich manager, who helped when he was starting out in managing, and gave him lots of advice being a fellow young manger himself, may of also loaned him one or two players in the past too. It's now down to Hooper to decide if he wants to drop back down, or fight for a place to play in the prem.

Agree3 Disagree1

03 Aug 2015 10:02:38
Doubt it, rumoured player has Europa league experience, never played in England but was interesting PL clubs last season. I'm thinking more Spanish, David Moyes connection. Unless anyone knows of DF contacts anywhere else in Europe? Or new scout working magic??

Agree0 Disagree3

03 Aug 2015 10:09:45
im not holding my breath about exciting, i heard it was a guy from swansea. i can only think of marvin emnes ? or is it not a striker ?

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Aug 2015 10:51:21
Deffo a striker, hopefully he will be better than what we already have.

Agree4 Disagree3

03 Aug 2015 10:58:40
Ljc makes a credible argument fur hooper!

Agree3 Disagree5

03 Aug 2015 11:18:24
Colin fray has just tweeted that Gary Hooper is close to joining, would be a great signing IMO!

Agree0 Disagree1

03 Aug 2015 11:45:38
Fray tweeted that ages ago !! Long eaton red is it definitely a striker or is it Defoe a striker ???!!

Agree1 Disagree4

03 Aug 2015 11:54:46
I said Gary Hooper last week and got grief from people, would be great if it comes off, would you play Hooper and assambolonga up front together?

Agree1 Disagree4

03 Aug 2015 12:04:44
If Hooper would be a great signing, just thought maybe Adam Le Fonda as he been told can leave Cardiff and wants to move back towards his roots (Manchester).

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Aug 2015 12:07:46
Captain Caveman - Colin Fray doesn't have a twitter account he occasionally uses the Official BBC Sports Nottingham one and the tweet about Hooper signing was 5 days ago.

Agree0 Disagree1

03 Aug 2015 12:31:36
Sneaky feelin it could be defoe too!!!!

Agree0 Disagree2

03 Aug 2015 12:51:26
Adam Le Fondre having a medical today at a undisclosed location/club. Could it be Nffc? Does DF have any history with this player?

Agree2 Disagree0

03 Aug 2015 13:03:04
Le fondre has tweeted he's off for a medical but hasn't said who!

Agree2 Disagree0

03 Aug 2015 14:04:41
Le fondre medical at wolves now

03 Aug 2015 14:10:33
Adam Le Fondre is joining Wolves on a season loan according to sky sports and wolves website.

This is my left field rumour for an exciting surprise loan signing.
Jay Rodriguez from Southampton.

Here's why.

He has finally returned to full fitness but lacks match time to go straight back into the team.

Southampton will not risk loaning him to a Premiership club but need to get him firing again in the first 6 months of the season.

When DF was at Palace he sold Clyne to Saints for £3m who have now cashed in. Favour to be returned to get JR match fit whist Britt returns. Both are similar players to fit in tactically.

That's why DF is keeping it quiet.

Agree2 Disagree3

03 Aug 2015 15:13:44
Berbatov looking at joining a club in the Midlands, surely too good/too expensive for nffc?

Agree0 Disagree3

03 Aug 2015 15:20:31
Whoever it is they will probably be haunted by the curse of the forest strikers. do a season with us on loan score 6 goals then a season at another team and hit 25, but i'd like to see murray, experienced, scores, can play either in a 2 or on his own and wickham has just gone palace to push him further down the pecking order.

Agree1 Disagree2

03 Aug 2015 15:22:37
Norwich are close to signing a striker from Dynamo Kiev, this will free up Hooper to move on loan to nffc.

Agree3 Disagree0

03 Aug 2015 15:26:50
Alexander Sorlath, Rosenborg, anyone?
Dougie sold a striker to them when clearing out Palace, player young international, Europa league experience and available? Just trying to piece the clues together, here to be shot down.😉

Agree0 Disagree3

03 Aug 2015 16:05:51
The Rodriguez one is exciting, but was it Koeman who DF sold Clyne too, or Pochatino (or whatever his name is, the Spurs manager)

Agree1 Disagree0

03 Aug 2015 16:25:22
Longeatonred

It would not be Berbetov, he is a luxury striker. Fergie got rid of him for that reason.

Agree0 Disagree2

03 Aug 2015 16:36:48
Another name to throw into the pot - Marouane Chamakh - European Experience at Palace but not sure any Freedman link to him or Pardew though is a link to Palace.

Agree0 Disagree2

03 Aug 2015 17:13:07
Still sticking my neck out for Hooper.

Agree0 Disagree1

03 Aug 2015 17:13:37
Wont be jay rod as DF says it is a signing not a loan. Also twrnty other clubs mean champs. Its prob hooper as nirwich fans say he will be third or fourth choicevthis season. Yhey also say he has noy been given good run in team due to manager change!!!!

Agree0 Disagree1

03 Aug 2015 17:42:00
Redinexile, Koeman saying the season has come to soon for Rodriguez he is nowhere near match fitness, pity he would link up well with Antonio 😎

Agree1 Disagree0

03 Aug 2015 18:00:27
DF sold a couple players to Rodgers at Swansea back in 2011/12, could it be a case of two young managers giving each other advice?
A fringe Liverpool player might be on his way.
Heard he doesn't want ballotelli. ;)

Agree0 Disagree1

03 Aug 2015 18:33:58
If it's a signing not a loan do you think norwich will let hooper go for free?and would he drop from 30k + to 10k?

Agree2 Disagree0

03 Aug 2015 18:40:56
The suspense is killing me 😬😬😬😬😬

Agree2 Disagree1

03 Aug 2015 18:48:02
Berbatov going to Villa, so that's one out the way, Norwich fans saying he will go, and bookies have Hooper at 4/1 to join nffc.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Aug 2015 19:19:42
I sort of hope its a season long loan, with a view to buy later. No 'exciting' striker will sign for 10k a week will they?

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Aug 2015 19:31:05
I will only concede the, 'Europa league experience, international, never played in England, PL target last season' rumours are not true, if they are red herrings. DF using smoke and mirrors to throw the competition of the real target. who is. just as much of a mystery to me!

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Aug 2015 20:50:40
If it is brendan Rodgers it could either be borini or origi. Divock origi has europa league experience when playing for lille last season???

Agree0 Disagree1

03 Aug 2015 21:16:36
Origi was voted the worst striker in Ligue 1 last season, he showed promise in the World Cup though. I reckon he would storm the league.

Agree0 Disagree1

04 Aug 2015 00:00:15
Zamora just moved to Brighton. Got a suspicious feeling he was our man

Agree1 Disagree0

04 Aug 2015 00:09:40
DF did the deal with Les Reed for Clyne when at Palace. Koeman has said Rodriguez is not match fit for the Premiership. However, he has played pre season so the only way he is going to get match fit for the Premiership is a loan move to the Championship.

This will be another John Terry moment for Forest if DF pulls this off!
