Afternoon ed there is a rumour going around on social media that says we have agreed a season long loan for Zaha. about 25 mins ago

Championship side Nottingham Forest are closing in on a loan deal for the Wilfried Zaha. The England prospect is keen to return to the Championship to re-build his faltering reputation and sees Nottingham Forest as the perfect fit, where he would be able to work with his former England U21's boss Stuart Pearce. Newcastle are also interested in Zaha and have a made a £7m bid for the 21-year-old, however Man United are reluctant to sell now and make a substantial loss, preferring a loan move. Forest are close to agreeing a loan package with United, with the only stumbling block the proportion of wages the Midlands club would pay. If all goes well for Forest, Zaha would be eligible to make his debut at Bolton this Saturday. The signing would lay down a huge statement to the rest of the Championship with Zaha adding to the club's rich veil of wingers: Michail Antonio, Chris Burke and Jamie Paterson.

KD and JL and other young players should look at Zaha story, he is being called a Man U misfit, when he has hardly had a first team game, and put out on loan! If he had stayed at Palace he would have been in the England squad, he would be an excellent signing for us, and Pearce could bring the best out of him!

Andy Cole and Alan Shearer won Golden Boots whilst at Newcastle, 93/94 and 96/97 respectively.

Newcastle also boast 4 First Division wins, 6 FA Cup wins, a Football League Cup, a Charity Shield and an Intertoto Cup.

Not bad for a team where nobody wins anything.

I have to agree to a point though, NUFC don't look as if they will win much for the foreseeable.

I know this sounds daft but mentally I think they are still recovering from their relegation. they've not been a real dangerous side since Keegan blew it that time.

Newcastle never won League Cup. And their last league and FA cup wins (1927 and 1955 respectively) are hardly recent.

Maybe there greatest player would agree with the origanal post!
Shearer should of won all major titles, a player of his calibre. This comment hurts but the bloke should of gone to Man united!
I was at the CG the day after he snubbed Man U, at the Umbro international tournament with the city ground in one voice chanting Shearer as Man U ran on the pitch! Loved it! Fergie with a smacked arsed face!!
