SSN - 'Here's confirmation of a line we brought you earlier as Hull City recall Jack Hobbs from his loan at Nottingham Forest following an injury to James Chester. '

LizRed1

1.) This is really disappointing and a little underhanded by Hull. I hope we get our loan fee back and Jack still comes to us in the summer.

On the plus side, 2 potential scoring options coming in, we'll just score more than the opponents do!

2.) Fawaz tweeted that Hobbs was here for the season. with a 2 year deal after on the table. If Hull want him back then it wasent signed, sealed and deliverd. someone has dropped a clanger at our end

3.) This is a fact, don't know what went wrong but Hobbs was training with Hull yesterday (Friday). Before people add 2&2 together and make 5, just because he isn't in Hulls squad this weekend is nothing to do with being a fix, he is actually cup tied. Corks back in the bottle ed. as the saying goes nothing is done until it is actually done. Now is a chance for somebody to step up to the plate and prove that we can manage without him maybe for the rest of the season, who do you think it will be ed?

4.) So what happens now? Is he there for rest o the season?

5.) I was under the impression Fawaz had paid nearly a million quid to secure Jack Hobbs till the end of the season?

6.) Or we could buy him in this window

7.) More questions need to be answered about how this was allowed to happen? Thought he was definitely here til end of season. Fawaz said there was deal agreed with Hull chairman, What has gone wrong? We are going to be short of cover again now.

8.) 24 Jan 2014 13:34:30
how can hull recall hobbs. I thout he was injured???

{Ed034's Note - that isn't got to stop them recalling him.

9.) Hi think they have done a deal with hull Hobbs go back to them and Danny graham comes to us they no we want graham

10.) I know its been stated that the injury to James Chester is the reason, but it sounds a bit strange to me all things considered. Maybe they didn't like the possible Graham loan? Or like stated above they are forcing a sale? Mr. Retro

{Ed034's Note - why would both clubs say the same thing?? Why lie?? If that was the case, it would be said

11.) There must be a serious breakdown in relations with Hull for this to happen - might be related to Danny Graham negotiations but think can be sure he won't be coming now either.

{Ed034's Note - why?? He's recalled as cover for an injury

12.) Shocking news. Our best defender in years and then losing him at this important moment of time. I'm urging Fawaz to get some signings in, right now players are flying out the door, things are going in the wrong direction!
Also without Lansbury for two games, suddenly this Friday turned bad!
Forest Dane

13.) Isn't today Friday yesterday was Thursday

14.) And the worst bit is the poor blokes going to probably spend a fair time warmin the bench now when he could be playing for fans and a club that love him. Shocking all round. Not amused

15.) I'm seeing a lot of conflicting stories, sadly, I doubt we will know, it isn't something under this regime we get to know too much information.

{Ed034's Note - we know whats going off, it's on the hull website

16.) Players are flying out of the doors Forest Dane? Where? Bloody Danish Drama Queen LOL

17.) Hi think they have done a deal with Hobbs for graham

{Ed034's Note - why??

18.) And he'll have to look at Steve Bruce's welders bench-like face.

19.) Why lie? because the truth can be destructive!

Would love to have been eavesdropping on the conversation between fawaz and hull owners.

It's all a bit strange this

{Ed034's Note - don't be so dramatic haha there's no reason to think any other than whats been said. The world, club and fans would be the same if it was for any other reason

20.) Also, when Fawaz was questioned as to whether Hobbs himself signed a contract, he looked v sheepish, but to his credit never said he was signed and mentioned we still need to deal with his agent - did not fill me with confidence and by the look on Fawaz's boat, he did not look very confident either

21.) I am annoyed but not shocked he has had to return. He seemed more than happy to stay with us and all going well he will get the forest jersey on again soon. In the meantime though I thank him for his brilliant service to our club. Big boots to fill but it's there now for someone to take on the responsibility. We are still going up in my opinion. Go on the redsss.
Ro red.

22.) Hi think now Hobbs has gone back that graham will be going to us they have done a deal. What they would do is make Hobbs go back so we can do a deal with graham

{Ed034's Note - why would you think that??

23.) If we had loved him so much, would we have bought him, or that's what i'd be thinking, haven't I done enough?.

24.) Because Bruce said: "I think it's close to a £1m we've got for Jack. He's a really good lad and we wish him well for the future. "
He clearly wasn't expecting to be able to recall him under the new agreement where we paid a fee.
Things may have changed after Bruce said this and the previous loan terms (including recall) were allowed to continue by agreement between the two chairmen.
Or we have not paid the fee and signed the deal before Chester got his injury and they genuinely need him.
Or we have not paid the fee and Hull are peeved at us getting Hobbs for nothing and expecting them to pay part of the wages for a player they do not own or want (Graham).
You must love days likt this Ed.

{Ed034's Note - I'm not kidding when I say from last night till now, there has been over a thousand comments

25.) Apart from chester, hull have davies, bruce, mcshane, faye, figueroa who could play center back, even huddlestone used to be a defender. its all very strange after what fawaz tweeted. also not sure about djebbour, would need time to settle in. seems january might cost forest again

26.) Hobbs, Miller, Gillett. 3 out and no one in.
Drama Queen Forest Dane

{Ed034's Note - djebbour in, miller nor Gillett played. Chill out and let it unfold

27.) Dear Hull F. C. YOU ARE AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE of a football club. Broken agreements, false promises between chairmen and messing around in other teams seasons. I hope that forest and Fawaz doesn't do any further business with Hull again. However reds, please let's not let this disgrace of a club, get us down, we are having a fantastic season, playing good football and have a good HONEST chairman. COYR.

28.) Truly too many drama queens today. Players come, players go, Forest have been around for more than 100 years. Zzzzzz. I urge Fawaz to do this or that. Like you have a say. Don't make me laugh! Ed, wish I could use stronger words!

29.) Sorry Ed, what I mean is that we all seen Fawaz tweet confirming that he had finalised an agreement with Hull to keep Hobbs for the season, Bruce also confirmed that this cost us nearly £1m. So something down the line has gone wrong. Fawaz wouldn't normally tweet unless he was absolutely sure a deal had been done.

{Ed034's Note - we all know fawaz is very good when it comes it communicating with the fans. I'm sure he'll be talking over the next few days

30.) Fawaz said he needed to tie him down for a contract beyond the end of the year? means a deal can't have been done and that the loan was still in place.

31.) Whilst we are all very disappointed and worried about the lack of more cover at CB, this is what happens with loan players. No need for a conspiracy theory. And it must have been possible under the loan agreement or there would be immediate action via FA or courts. But resources suddenly look even thinner in defence.

32.) Well, I'm hoping it all works out (I'm our favour)

NL Flaboyant Queen :)

33.) Very disappointing, but its clear that the loan agreement included Hulls right to recall him. Any football team would do the same, although I think Hull have been shambolic throughout this process. However, this doesn't change the fact that he is out of contract in the summer and wants to play for Forest, so we've lost him for now, but any loan fee will be paid back and a storming free transfer in the summer?

34.) Some may say Hull have gone back on a deal apparently set up between the owners of both clubs.
The truth is, if Forest had been quicker of the mark and signed him instead of waiting until the end of the season this wouldn't have happened. He is after all a Hull City player on loan to us.

35.) Really disapointed with this he was a great addition to our club and with the understanding he was ours for the rest of the season.? Now I don't know what to believe or who? The club better have an answer for this seems a bit shady don't ya think!

{Ed034's Note - they have told you the reason he has been recalled....Chester has an injury and they have recalled him as cover.

36.) If it's all true then, we paid for him to stay but now he's recalled, would we get the money back? I'm sure we'll get him back too, whether it's back on loan in the near future or (lets all pray) we buy him

37.) Let's hope that he does actually play for Hull whilst he is back there as it may well help in the long run. That would mean that he has played for two clubs in the season, and, correct me if I am wrong, Ed, but I think that would mean he would have to get special dispensation from the FA to play for anyone else. Hence, it would remove the chance of anyone else getting him before the loan window closes.

38.) He has gone back to Hull end of. Nothing we can do about it and it was Hull that recalled a player that was on loan to us until the end of the season under the emergency rules.

Yes Bruce is a total kn*b we know that but give Fawaz a break. He has tweeted about it and asked for the fans understanding, that we'll continue to monitor the situation closely and are trying to strengthen in this window.

Come on Trickies keep the faith!

39.) Drama Queen Dane

Hobbs loanee only subject to recall

Miller loaned out pre Chrimbo

Gillett loaned out pre Chrimbo

Andy Reid signed new contract, Vaughan still here on loan, possible striker in the next 24 hours, Wilson nearing match fitness, Hobbs could come back if they get cover. come on lad enjoy the season.

40.) 24 Jan 2014 20:35:03
That's because forest are very very very slow at signing players and have always been that way it's a shame once again we've missed out on a good player

41.) 24 Jan 2014 22:28:21
Is it possible that JH has had his head turned by Reading/other clubs, after all this is just a job to him and money does talk. I find it strange that a contract has been on the table and nothing has been signed. If Hull have agreed a price with other club (s) then what's to say he hasn't shook hands on another contract? Hopefully I'm off the mark but either way still a massive loss to us.

42.) With my conspiracy theory ha to on. Maybe we agreed a deal to buy or contribute cash to secure gain to the end if the season. It has dragged it's feet to get it signed and sealed, accidentally or on purpose to go over the transfer window and stop other clubs going in. Hull have realised this and rightly recalled him to cover injury but knowing if we were to put a buy bid in then they would gladly hand him back. It's one way to force some money.

43.) Only explanation I can think of is that he was offered a chance in the first team at Hull and decided it was in his interests to go back - which it probably would be? If he wanted a permanent contract with us we'd have signed him up, surely?

44.) I do think Hobbs will be back. If covering for an injured player he will not be sold and can go for free in the summer. (Saved ourselves some money!) If he is sold then Hull have went against the agreement. I doubt he will take part in the FA cup as I believe he is now cup tied. Sorry if this has already been mentioned. There is also 2 sides to all stories, but I do now hope Hull get dragged into the relegation battle. Sorry, but yes bitter about it all.

45.) Agree with the above poster. Nothing to do with Chester injury hull want money. I for one really hope hull go down, can't stand them and their silly owner. Can't see hobbs returning I'm afraid.

{Ed034's Note - {Ed034's Note - we have agreed a fee, we are discussing a deal with Hobbs. They maybe worried about us not agreeing it and him end up leaving fir nothing, but they can't force him it go anywhere else.
If he wants it be a forest player, we could always get him in July. Not ideal but we could

46.) Personally ed, I think hobbs and lascelles are best centre half combination. Hobbs trained with hull on Friday. It's clear they want money now.

{Ed034's Note - yes they do, they've made that clear and have openly said that. They have also openly said we have agreed a price.

SSN - 'Here's confirmation of a line we brought you earlier as Hull City recall Jack Hobbs from his loan at Nottingham Forest following an injury to James Chester. '

LizRed1

24 Jan 2014 12:05:51
On Nottingham Forest Website - 'Nottingham Forest defender Jack Hobbs has been recalled from his loan stay by his parent club Hull City. '

LizRed1

1.) A web site saying that Hull defender James Chester will be out for six weeks with a hamstring injury.

Looks like bad luck and our loss.

2.) He has been recalled because of an Injury to James chester. I Could be wrong Here but I thought Hobbs is also injured?. As i'm over in Germany I may have missed News saying that Hobbs is now fit.

3.) Also if Djebbour/graham rumours true Halford or Collins slotback in Kelv back soon not as big a deal as most saying. doom mongerers I guess

4.) Hobbs is cup tied so can't play this week anyway. They probably want to integrate him into the squad. Not Forests fault.

5.) Its not being doom and gloom. Its about results and promises that come through and not false promises

6.) Yes, I thought we had Hobbs until the end of the season at least or that's what Fawaz had said. I heard that Hull could recall the player but I thought Fawaz had sorted that out now and we had the player until the end of the season. Something not adding up!

24 Jan 2014 10:47:08
Sky Transfer Blog 10. 33 - 'We are hearing that Nottingham Forest have made an enquiry for highly-rated Mansfield Town midfielder Sam Clucas. Clucas, who only joined Mansfield last summer, has impressed at Field Mill and Forest boss Billy Davies is weighing up a move to bring the winger to the City Ground' - What's your thoughts on this Ed?

LizRed1

{Ed034's Note - its great to see us looking at young players

1.) Same blog saying hull to recall Hobbs!hope that's wrong!

22 Jan 2014 19:04:37
According to this evening's Fulham Chronicle - 'QPR manager Harry Redknapp has ruled out a move for Blackburn Rovers hotshot Jordan Rhodes. ' Is this because of a report on ssn this evening? 'Blackburn Rovers hit-man Jordan Rhodes has been continually linked with a move to the Premier League, but the Scotland international says he loves being a Blackburn player and admits speculation about his future will not affect him. '. and from the player 'I love being at Blackburn Rovers and being a Blackburn player. It's full of good people, good players and a good team spirit and tremendous facilities. I like going in every day and until told otherwise I'm a Blackburn Rovers player. ' Which is a repeat of an earlier statement by Jordan Rhodes. Do you think we are still in with a chance Ed?

LizRed1

{Ed034's Note - I really don't know. Just can't see how we could afford it with the restrictions

1.) If blackburn can afford him why can't we the same restrictions apply to them? Or are they creaming off then parachute payments?

2.) Harry saying he has no interest in Rhodes because of the £10mil asking price ed.

{Ed034's Note - can't fault him for that

3.) We won't get Jordan Rhodes. Stop dreaming and be realistic.

4.) Yeh get real pal, no chance never

5.) Not worth £10M. Don't think prem clubs will pay that much for him.

6.) He is not coming, so calm down and love the ones we got! Wonder If any striker will turn up at all.
Forest Dane

7.) Maybe he'll come in the summer when he wants a prem move ;)

8.) What most of u saying we can't win this league without Jordan Rhodes I think know I know with the team and the team spirit we have at the minute we can get top two just wish some of the fans had a bit more spirit coyr premier league here we come

9.) The First time we know a strikers coming in is when Miller and Derbyshire go out on loan

10.) I sat in a pub last week with two Blackburn Season Ticket holders who were down this way on a job. They were watching the FA Cup replay against Citee.

They heard me talking about the weekends match (4-1 to the good guys LOL) and joined us and needless to say the subject got on to Rhodes who was 'out injured'. They praised his goal scoring but were very critical about his work rate or lack of. They expect him to go in the transfer window but the funds will just pay off what they owe plus the £4m outstanding transfer fee.

11.) Restrictions won't stop us spending 10 million ed. we just don't have 10 million to spend, we will get 2 average loanees at best!. forest fans need to get their heads out the clouds, we are playing great football at the moment and looking very good but has for spending big on players it's not going to happen, and I for one am glad about that, I don't think we should upset the apple cart.

{Ed034's Note - if fawaz wanted to spend £10m on a striker, he could, but due to the financial fair play we can't, their for that is stopping us spending it.

12.) Billy Davies has already ruled out Jordan Rhodes. He said quote 'we are not looking for a poacher who is outside of our budget. What we need is a target man who can hold the ball up and finish a few more created opportunities from midfield'? When I heard this I just thought someone like we already have in hendo. BD really wants Connor Wickham who in my eyes can do both roles however this is based on selling on our fringe strikers. Expect to see Tudgay and Miller go first at least. Maybe Derbyshire too. Problem is BD is a hoarder of players.

Graham will come in first and tbh I can't see another striker joining.

13.) Can't see how Forest can't to get Rhodes even at 10 mil if he was given a 4 year contract only 2.5 mil will be off this years budget, the question is if he is worth that.

{Ed034's Note - and what about the budget for the next three seasons, if we do not go up??
also Blackburn have got to agree for it to be in instalments.
tell you what though, I would love it to happen

14.) Rhodes was interviewed on a Radio Scotland football programme last night, and came across as grounded and professional. He is not only a top striker but would bring the right attitude to the club, and it'd be absolutely fantastic to have him at Forest.
Just think of what he'd do with the chances he's get with us! And it would only enhance his Scotland prospects, which is an issue for him!

15.) Rhodes statement reads a bit like Roy Keanes statement days before signing for Manchester United and days after kissing the badge.

16.) Jordan Rhodes - signed tomorrow morning 10-30 sharp - solid source and ITK - COYR!

According to the Guardian - things can get worse 'The owner of Nottingham Forest has added to the growing sense of turmoil surrounding the Championship club by appearing to suggest that he is preparing to walk away from the City Ground.

Fawaz al-Hasawi responded on Twitter to a fan asking whether he would consider standing down as chairman 'and just be the owner' by saying: 'I will soon from everything'.

Not good news - what do others think?

LizRed1

1.) 05 Feb 2015 09:33:52
The only way i would consider buying the Guardian is if the Andrex factory went on strike. Lefty garbage

2.) I hope Fawaz does not put us up for sale,he maybe erratic even a little eccentric but he is a man who i think's love's the Reds, maybe someone he listens to should explain about CEO and Chairman's role in a club,he has said he is tired of trying to do everything, well maybe he should take a back seat and a rest 😃

3.) Best news this week. Forest is clearly an autocratic environment at present, so all fault lines lead in one direction.

07 Aug 2014 09:15:31
Those fans who are asking where the 'moaners' have gone. totally missed the point as most were only posting their legitimate concerns on the sale and, more importantly, that Fawaz had not kept Stuart in the link at every stage of the sale of Darlow and Lascelles. They also couldn't understand his reasoning. This was because, naïvely he kept his plan to himself, for whatever reason and should have informed Stuart. Still stand by what I posted in the way of concern. however, I now think Fawaz, armed with the fact that the sponsorship deal had not yet come to fruition, made the only decision he could in order to bring in the much needed striker and keep within ffp rules. to sell arguably the best two players, which would raise sufficient capital quickly. He probably didn't imagine there would be such a backlash, as in his mind, he had resolved the problem without losing the players (in the short term). . by securing their services for the season and, albeit at a later stage, managed to secure the prolific striker everyone agreed was needed to bolster Forest's chances of promotion. Had he kept Stuart informed of the reasoning etc. the phone in on BBC would have taken on a different tone. Stuart would have answered the critics with a guarded positive along the lines of. there were reasons which will become clear. . etc. which fans would have understood. So. Thank you Fawaz, it now all makes sense, but hope you will include keeping Stuart Pearce. the manager. in the loop for any future plans, as Forest fans are very protective of their 'legend' but are more understanding than you probably think. What's your take on it Ed? Can't wait for Saturday! COYRs

LizRed1

{Ed034's Note - good summary liz. I think fans need to realise that fawaz has the good of the club at heart and even though he makes mistakes (not telling pearce that the offer was being accepted was wrong and for me was very rude).
There are reasons why he does things and I think from now on it might be worth fans trusting his judgement a little more, before hanging him out to dry straight away.
he's put and putting a lot of money in to this club and wants the premier league just as much as we do

1.) Assuming Stuart Pearce sanctions the sale of KD & JL, why must he be involved in the fee? Fawaz controls the budget and Pearce spends what he's given, apart from a bit of common courtesy, have never been able to understand what all the fuss was about on this. Fans trying to justify their premature criticism is getting boring now as Fawaz continues to make the doubters look stupid.

{Ed034's Note - because if he has been asked for his opinion, as the manager he should be told if they are accepting it or not, even if its just a courtesy. also he will need to know how much will go into his budget

05 Aug 2014 13:40:14
Does anyone think Fawaz is ready to throw in the towel and trying to recoup some of the losses now, as looks likely Kuwait government aren't going ahead with sponsorship? What is your opinion Ed?

LizRed1

{Ed034's Note - no I don't. I think it sounds very likely that the deal has stalled and he may need to bring in money to balance the books

1.) Ed, you seemed so sure last week that the sponsorship deal had already been signed and that we were just waiting for the press conference to anounce the deal. It would be a big shame but if the deal doesn't happen and we have to sell players/tighten the purse strings in order to abide by FFP then so be it. Just as long as we all know where we stand - most importantly our Manager!

{Ed034's Note - the deal had been sorted, I did not say it had been signed. the final details were being discussed

04 Aug 2014 08:36:29
If true what ever happened to building a team not dismantling it? Also the statement that Stuart would be able to 'splash the cash' - at the West Brom game the whole of the starting 11 were substituted bar one I think, so on that premise, the whole team would be on the move. don't think there is anything in this as it flies against Stuart's statements

LizRed1

1.) Lizred

It can be out of sp's hands if the players want to leave and the club accept the offer

{Ed034's Note - the club will have a deal which they would be happy with. if this is offered, it then is down to the players.
obviously if the players go to the manager and say they want to leave, the manager has then to decide whether to keep two players who want to leave or cash in on them now.
it is not always as black and white as fans believe

2.) On one site I have read that both Darlow and Lascellas are on their way to Newcastle for medicals. But that both will then be loaned back for a season. I think SP should tell us what is going off.

{Ed034's Note - he will be on radio nottm tonight at 6, so you can ask

3.) 04 Aug 2014 11:34:37
I can't see why they would choose newcastle. Fawaz has got the season ticket money and then sold 2 great prospects. Disgraceful if true

{Ed034's Note - rubbish. You can always get your money back if you are not happy.

4.) 04 Aug 2014 11:49:41
Youre deluded Ed

{Ed034's Note - deluded about what? you dont buy a season ticket because of two players play for the club. you buy it because you love the club and can afford it.
deluded is not looking at the bigger picture and spouting rubbish like you just have.
if you think fawaz waited for your £500 before announcing this, you have a choice to get your money back and not bother coming

5.) They both have far more chance of playing at Newcastle than other clubs mentioned Cannock Red. The other reason is they become very wealthy young men on premier wages while still being able to play for Forest for another season. Your attitude towards the sale of these 2 is very strange. Players come and go and always will. It's a good job you're not a Southampton fan or god only knows how you would be feeling?

27 Mar 2014 15:56:12
Very surprised Stuart Pearce turned the job down after the article in the evening post a few months back where he said he would love to manage Nottingham Forest and then identifying the position as being 'an outstanding job'. So two managers turning it down in quick succession for similar reasons. Does anyone think there must be something inherently wrong with the way Fawaz wants the club run? Sounds like he does want to become owner/manager with a 'puppet' to front the managerial position so long as he is pulling the strings. Had belief in him before the Billy Davies debacle but that us fading fast. Don't think he understands the way English managers like to run clubs. ie without interference and although he denies any interference I am not so sure. Ed - your thoughts?

LizRed1

{Ed034's Note - I still do not get why you are not sure?? He turned it down for both personal reasons and because the time wasn't right.

1.) Liz has point it seems Fawaz wants to be more involved with the team selection and transfers. No top manager would accept that. IanW

{Ed034's Note - how is there a point? Fawaz has said over and over he has nothing to do with the tactics or team, billy said the same thing numerous times and both warnock and Pearce denied it. How is there a point??

2.) Ed, i'm a married man so find I am wrong quite a bit lol, and could be wrong here again but has Pearce had martial issues not that long ago. Perhaps this could well be his personal reason or at least one of them? As said I could easily be wrong here again ha. Hoddle has made some personal mistakes but his coaching/management record is pretty impressive. Of the names going I think he would be my personal choice and think he is well worth a punt.
Ro red.

{Ed034's Note - same thing I thought, but like yourself I am regularly wrong lol

3.) 27 Mar 2014 17:02:30
ed theirs summit going on for pearce to say he eould love the job months ago I also read that article and only yesterday to say it was outstanding opportunity.
fawas should know pearce would of only done what's in forests best interests if he was manager. he loves the club and fans.
fawas must be wanting more input. am sorry to say.

{Ed034's Note - I do not understand how that is the only think it must be then lol

4.) So it begs the question, if the time isn't right, why waste your time going?. When I used to get headhunted for sales jobs, I wouldn't sit in car-parks at McDonalds listening to offers from other companies and then turn around and say the time isn't right. I would not go purely down to terms or money.

{Ed034's Note - only Pearce can answer that

5.) I don't believe Fawaz would say to any prospective manager he wants an involvement in picking the team. What he would say, and what was inferred by Warnock, is that it is my club and my money, and I will have the say on transfers. This doesn't mean Fawaz won't back the manager, but it won't appeal to some managers who would view it as a limitation on their ability to build their team. Fawaz also has a business plan and unique selling point predicated on appeal in the Middle East. He will therefore want to acquire the quality players who can appeal to that market.

6.) Exactly you would not go for a interview if time want right. cause he wanted job. but obviously he realized their were restrictions on him doing his job properly. so politely turned it down.
were going to end up with someone who we don't want.

But Eastwick also said -'And Zaha is thought to be one of several potential loan signings who are on the club's radar. '
So not an out and out denial that forest might take him on loan if they get the opportunity. and Man U more interested in a loan deal than a sale. doesn't say Newcastle interested in loaning him.

LizRed1

Championship side Nottingham Forest are closing in on a loan deal for the Wilfried Zaha. The England prospect is keen to return to the Championship to re-build his faltering reputation and sees Nottingham Forest as the perfect fit, where he would be able to work with his former England U21's boss Stuart Pearce. Newcastle are also interested in Zaha and have a made a £7m bid for the 21-year-old, however Man United are reluctant to sell now and make a substantial loss, preferring a loan move. Forest are close to agreeing a loan package with United, with the only stumbling block the proportion of wages the Midlands club would pay. If all goes well for Forest, Zaha would be eligible to make his debut at Bolton this Saturday. The signing would lay down a huge statement to the rest of the Championship with Zaha adding to the club's rich veil of wingers: Michail Antonio, Chris Burke and Jamie Paterson.

Whatever reasons are given in his statement are inexcusable for not keeping Stuart up to speed AT EVERY STAGE OF THE DEVELOPMENTS. Stuart should not have to hear from a player that they are off for a medical! Fawaz should have been honest with him - I tend to believe Stuart's explanation on the sale of these players. A trusted man with much integrity. The fact that he is going to continue as manager, despite being undermined by the owner, is a measure of the man he is. I wish him all the luck going forward. I think he is going to need it. Forest will survive, but I am not sure, we will still have the same owner next season if we don't get promotion.

Wanted to say that don't think Moussi back from France is something to get excited about.

Pretty much that. What was a bit of a concern, was no mention of the club still pursuing emergency loan signings. Do you think we won't get anyone in now Ed?

{Ed034's Note - depends on when they are expecting players back I suppose and on if other managers are prepared to let certain players leave
