MW has said he will make 9/10 changes for tomorrow's game, but he would have no problem putting them in a league game.

Looking forward to seeing Vellios and Cummings upfront together. Hopefully starting with Mills and Hobbs. See if they can shore it up at the back for us.

I'd have thought it would have been better to stick with 1 team. I know it's a cup game but one game into the season players shouldn't need a rest and need to start building up consistency and cohesion. I'd at least start with the same defence. The need for game time is a valid reason but until the fixture list becomes hectic rotation isn't necessary. I'd quite like us to put out a strong side (though who's to say tonight's won't be stronger), as getting the mentality of winning and taking every game as important, no matter what the competition or who the opponent will instil a culture of hunger and desire to win. I'm not saying I know better than MW or that he isn't taking this seriously, I'm just giving my opinion on what I feel would be the best use of tonight's game.

I feel MW likes to change some players according to the type of team we face, but face it the league cup is not going to be a priority for MW. I think it is also a exercise in trying to find out who his best players are in the positions he wants them rather than in their best positions.
