We do need a combative midfielder with the ability to pick a pass. So many positions so little time, next summer then MW might have the players he wants.

Just my opinion but I'd rather have another midfielder in Vaughan's mould. We really missed him in the Leeds game. Someone who can create from deep and dictate the tempo.

We've already brought Bridcutt in to play the combative role and also Bouchalakis to play box-to-box.

Regarding a lot of comments on here calling for us to sign a CB - I really don't feel personnel is the issue. I have a hunch that our apparent fragility at the back is down to the way we're set up to defend rather than "Matt Mills being terrible".

Much as he is a decent player, he is no 'enforcer'. made his name raiding down the wings and breaking forward from midfield. not exactly injury free either. As a wing back maybe.
