One of those days today when the relative league positions of both clubs were clear for all to see.

Nobody disgraced themselves or had an appalling game but for the most part we were left chasing shadows all over the pitch and but for some pretty miserable finishing from Morata (60 million!) the score would have been at least four if not more.

Steele certainly distinguished himself and appeared less flustered than Pantilimon can get and his distribution was much better.for sure.

I have to admit that it was at times a pleasure to watch the way that Chelsea passed and probed away and I hope that some day soon I can see us playing in a similar way .

For me personally a good day out with some excellent skill on show and a battling effort laden display from us.

Beaten but unbowed and as always . . .
