Well Blackburn are taking us seriously for Saturday, rested the team tonight, can' see karanka following suit.

Ff799

1.) 25 Sep 2018 21:34:11
To be fair Ff I think that will be the case for all teams. Rest days all round I reckon.

2.) 25 Sep 2018 22:00:50
Yep your right Boro did it as well.
Result of the round should go to Burton, playing against a strike force of wood and vydra and a strong side in general.

17 Sep 2018 21:04:01
I see from my email that the club have changed the policy of selling away tickets online only, glad about that, comes into force for the Boro game. only 1300 seat allocated for that one. that's one I ain't missing, athough I'll do my drinking in Sedgefield.

Ff799

1.) 17 Sep 2018 22:33:41
Ff799 where did you get a drink on Saturday mate I do know some of the locals ain’t that hospitable lol

2.) 18 Sep 2018 07:30:50
Never drink in the cities or towns on match day, pull up somewhere nice and no aggro.
Neath this time nice and friendly.

3.) 18 Sep 2018 11:41:12
Blimey you like going well out your way for a drink in Sedgefield?

Quickest way in and out of the Riverside is to come in from the south on the A172 or A174 and go in through Teesport where you can park safely for free in the industrial area and walk up to the ground.

Some great pubs in the villages around Stokesley and Great Ayton. They are a friendly bunch up in Cleveland!

4.) 18 Sep 2018 13:00:11
I make a whole day of it red not interested the quickest way in or out, kiss the missus good night on the Friday and say hello Sunday morning, that's a good session Thank you very much.πŸ˜€πŸ˜€

5.) 18 Sep 2018 21:25:27
Ah that explains why I got the text inviting me down on Friday night for a stay over! 🀣

6.) 18 Sep 2018 21:56:01
Well we all have to go one day,at least you'd have a smile on your face.😁😁😁

16 Sep 2018 22:36:46
Another match day passes, another draw, who will we sign this week?
Would it be a midfielder?
I really hope so.
It's the obvious weak link and I'm not jokingπŸ€”

Ff799

1.) 17 Sep 2018 07:45:13
Just read an article on the post website.
Krankie claims grabben is the best striker in the championship.
Well Senor Manuel if you played 2 upfront he would be!

2.) 17 Sep 2018 10:06:27
I completely agree ff.
We have an abundance of midfielders. Unfortunately none of them are playing particularly well. If we are genuinely aiming for promotion, we need much better. Not good management initially but at least he seems to be doing something about it.

3.) 17 Sep 2018 11:31:54
Like the England football team there is a dearth of op quality holding midfielders in league football which is why most teams play 2 and top quality "10" playmaker's are as rare as rocking horse doodah.
Cannot blame the manager for shifting through the options to find the right blend ?
Back 4 sorted. Midfield combo's becoming clearer. Additional striker imminent.
Onward & Upward

4.) 17 Sep 2018 12:00:54
Would be great if on weds night he tries to catch Wednesday out by playing DM and LG up top together

5.) 17 Sep 2018 12:24:12
OK aitor. Sorry I meant red. if what you think makes you happy you keep believing in Manuel πŸ‘

6.) 17 Sep 2018 13:51:30
FBB Firing from the hip yet again!
What exactly do you disagree with on my post?
All we seem to get from you is AK Out when the evidence suggests we are making progress albeit not as fast as your Championship Manager xbox results?
On the basis you have sacked him on your game what's your replacement management plan and squad selection? πŸ€”

7.) 17 Sep 2018 21:08:13
Our resident Banker must be having trouble recruiting his new manager having sacked AK?

8.) 18 Sep 2018 05:00:49
Red very good. This banker doesn't need to find a replacement as one is already on standby when the big Greek pulls the trigger.
Anyway how's life as an armchair fan?
Red the Walter Mitty of forest fans. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

12 Sep 2018 23:17:00
When we go on about systems they can all work to be honest.
If you play 442 then you need a striker to get 20 and the other to get 10 then midfield chip in with a few and defenders get the odd one .
433 the goals get shared pretty evenly or you get one striker scoring the bulk and the other two getting their fair share.
You play 4231 and you need a 20 goal striker at least, you then need one midfielder to get to double figures, you then need your wingers to score a few, then your two centre backs to score ten between them and the full backs need a couple

Ff799

1.) 13 Sep 2018 00:21:41
All you need to do is play to your strengths

2.) 13 Sep 2018 11:01:57
Exactly 2 tone,we havnt got the players to play karankas system and yet he sticks to it rigidly and he's bought most of these players in.

3.) 13 Sep 2018 12:40:55
What poppycock about systems and goals.

4-2-3-1 produced 63 goals-31 against and a second placed finish with 16 players sharing the goals and the top scorer getting 8.

Far better spreading the risk around the park than relying on one main man especially given our injury luck with strikers!

By the way the manager of that successful team was the man you want out!

Even Wolves scoring 82 goals only had 2 players in double figures and the top scorer was a midfielder with 17!

But then the Foremoaner's are stuck in the past and fail to acknowledge the game has changed even if some of it is not the "Forest Way" which has not exactly got us very far in 20 years?

4.) 13 Sep 2018 12:49:13
So where are our 63 goals going to come from red?
You keep harping on about his past at Boro, well stuff Boro,he's here now and he needs to up his game to get anywhere near your stats both goals for and against.
We have only got about eight players capable of scoring a goal, and add that to a leaky defence, then we aren't going to get far with 4 2 3 1

5.) 13 Sep 2018 14:19:09
63 goals?
Wtf are you on about?
You haven't a clue😭😭

6.) 13 Sep 2018 14:20:00
FF I think red is getting confused with basketball scores not football.

7.) 13 Sep 2018 15:14:10
Redinexile 63 gols over 46 games is hardly prolific is it.?

8.) 13 Sep 2018 15:44:48
It should not be difficult to restrict goals against. Most on this site were against dariwika and Osborn but they have been replaced largely. The centre backs have changed as everyone considered Worrall a liability. So Steele needs to replace Pants or they need to all up their game. Grabban is a proven goal scorer in the premier league. Given the correct service he will score in the teens. This side has all the correct elements in place and especially a manager who needs our support

9.) 13 Sep 2018 15:59:04
Scoring 8 in 6 league games so far should see us over the 60 goal mark for a full season. How many we concede in that time will be main question.

10.) 13 Sep 2018 16:09:12
FBB Go and check your facts before sounding off. Those stats are a matter of record!

FF799's post was banging on about the need for a 20 goal striker which is not essential in the modern game and that was my point!

You both need to clear your eyes of the red mist of negativity and deflection everytime you are presented with facts that disprove your claims.

Interesting how you are experts on predicting failure when you have not seen any of the new players more than 2 or 3 times?

11.) 13 Sep 2018 17:15:36
Go back to bed redπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

12.) 13 Sep 2018 20:27:06
We know the stats are facts and you love telling us his past record, but always forget to mention his disastrous time in the prem with them.
Your telling us not to live in the past and all you do is go on about karankas past.
It's what he's doing now that matters and I hope he changes and is a success, but I don't think he can change.
He's made some poor decisions in signings and team selection since the day he arrived,January he bought in Watson as his captain and now he'll probably be cast aside and that won't go down well in the dressing room.
Team spirit gets you a long way and continually chopping and changing does nothing to get any confidence flowing.
Your faith in him is based purely on one achievement,I don't have that faith having watched us play 29 games under him,the run of not scoring was painfull and the fact he has the reputation for being a great defence coach makes things worst as we concede most games.
So all in all he's got to improve drastically to win me over

13.) 13 Sep 2018 22:01:01
Here's another problem for me redinexile about karanka.
He's been talking about Dawson.
He says he was unlucky against Bristol he played well but had to come off near the end,I then felt he wouldn't be able to play another game a few days later,so he lost his place and we played really well,so in the following game he lost his place as well, then I was considering playing him after the mistakes against Wigan and Birmingham, but he then got injured,he's one to consider against Swansea now he's fit.
No wonder the players get confused.

14.) 13 Sep 2018 22:28:28
Sorry is keeping up with all the homework you have not done keeping up up at night?
😰 😰 😰

15.) 14 Sep 2018 07:10:06
Red the voice of reasoning and boring like krankies tactics 🀭

16.) 14 Sep 2018 07:23:16
I think the one thing we didn't get was a big commanding centre back. Dawson is ok but not big. Hef looks ok but not that big. Fox is ok but not big. We concede too many headers. Flint is the man we needed. HUGE.

17.) 14 Sep 2018 09:08:53
The problem lies in many of the above answers. AK has only had 1 job in England before Forest. We talk about him like he's done this many times before but he's only had 1 job. Ok that was a success but so was Nigel Adkins but we wouldn't want the likes of him near our club. AK is still inexperienced at this management game and it's showing at the moment in my opinion By the way it was good to relive that Colin Barratt goal on Facebook last night. A memorable night and although 40 years ago it still feels like it was yesterday

18.) 14 Sep 2018 09:59:33
Dawson's not big ?
Six foot two, how big would you like?

19.) 14 Sep 2018 13:26:42
Did someone say Heff doesn't look that big?

20.) 14 Sep 2018 14:34:42
Heff is the size of the hoff so don't hassle the heff.

21.) 14 Sep 2018 16:17:10
4,2,3,1 would be great if we had a striker that can play the lone role and 2 part of the formation didn't keep dropping into the back 4 looks more like 6,5,0

22.) 14 Sep 2018 16:52:50
The way Manuel plays his team Messi would not be to score.

23.) 15 Sep 2018 01:30:58

When marinakis put warbo in charge he got rid of all the foreign loans that marinakis provided and saved us from relegation with youth and the squad he was left with.
Ten games and no window?
Pre season a off to America and doesn't Britt look the part,?
We then get the open letter ?
Tough decisions will have to be made .
S8gn a few promising youngsters from the budget available,oh no Britt gets sold,
15 mill in the bank get an old one in return for a lot less.
Season starts well ,mod table come Xmas, but we're on a losing run.
Out walks the main man over transfer targets.

Day later manage 4 gets sack.
We slaughter arsenal in the cup under Brazil.
Karankas takes over crap first game and then we go to wolves beat them ,go to hull next week and lose in the cup.
Toys come out the pram and karanka falls out with em all.
Jan window he signs anyone who can't get a game.
We go to Burton Eric has to play left back and gets sent off, last we see of Eric.
We then go on the worst run of not scoring in our history,
We get safe cus teams below us are terrible.
We then allow karanka to spend 23 million on mainly two players ,while bringing dads Rmy.

Results don't improve ,so is it little wonder there's no confidence in him?

1.) 06 Sep 2018 07:20:33
FF a thumbs up from me πŸ‘

2.) 06 Sep 2018 09:05:48
ive got to give ya a thumbs up for effort ff799. do you think we should move quickly and get him back before all the other clubs without a manager snap him up?

3.) 06 Sep 2018 10:59:24
Excellent question chopsy.
Can't wait to see what the answer is.

4.) 06 Sep 2018 11:15:51
FF79, if only you hadn't said 'saved us from relegation'.😐

5.) 06 Sep 2018 12:28:33
Some of you lot are so fickle! there's no wonder our club is in such a state. For all those wanting the manager out already, have you ever thought that YOU are part of the problem?

So great yeh sack Karanka, when he's had about two minutes with his new squad, great idea. then what?

It's not only fickle it's insane. here's why

1. If we sack Karanka now and get someone else in, they're going to need to rebuild again, which means millions more out the window and we'd have to change all of the backroom staff too . just when we're starting to settle.

2. Karanka's record at this stage is similar to that of a certain Brian Clough at the same stage. do you think it would have been sensible to sack Brian then? MMMM thought not.

3. You are creating a self fulfilling prophecy. By constantly demanding managers are sacked after no time at all you are immediately heaping pressure on them and all of the players, thus ensuring your prediction is likely to come to fruition. Players and managers need space and time not immediate pressure, you are causing or at least contributing to our downfall. you may as well be Derby fans!

4. Everything was looking pretty rosey until Geddi got injured. His excellent start was providing the creativity the team needed, so maybe we just need a replacement for him when he's out - which it looks like we now have.

Stop being so impatient and bringing down our team. If you have doubts, keep them to yourself for a while and give them time to prove you wrong, otherwise you are just contributing to our downfall.

Nothing good ever came from negativity . keep your negativity to yourself for a while and give this manager and team some space and time. there'll be plenty of time for recriminations later, if they are needed.

6.) 06 Sep 2018 13:09:01
It'll make no difference what's fans say on here as he will seal his own fate with the tactics he plays.
Respect your opinion, but we all have differing ones,if you want to let it roll then that's your view, but how would you feel if we are embroiled in another relegation scrap??
On sir Brian he signed just a few players at a time and integrated them into the side, thus giving us some team spirit.
Karankas is the opposite and just wants more and more players and thinks that will come up with the answer.a settled team is the answer not constantly changing every week.
Your asking me to be patient, but karanka has no patience with players, the owners will decide and wether you like it or not,the clock will be ticking and if results don't improve he will be gone.
Nothing to do with fans my friend

7.) 06 Sep 2018 13:13:16
Worthing. don’t be ridiculous!
Krankie and Sir Brian cannot be compared.
Krankie is clueless. . another midfielder has signed for God’s sake.
Reading your post you have either been asleep or have unicorn specs on.
The posters who you say are being negative are stating how it is so please don’t sugar our NEGATIVITY with dross remarks and tunnel visioned opinions. you’re making me laugh πŸ˜‚

8.) 06 Sep 2018 13:20:16
if warburton saved us with youth and the signing of a few promising youngsters is he the pied piper in disguise.

9.) 06 Sep 2018 14:12:30
Thanks for the history lesson. You forgot to list where the departed players are earning their wages now which tells you all you need to know about the lack of quality inherited by AK!

Fortunately more enlightened fans are looking forward and not backwards!
6 league games into a new season with new players being introduced to the team and Foremoaners are the ones throwing their toys out the pram?
Unbelievable!
Onward and Upward

10.) 06 Sep 2018 14:40:18
Which players are an improvement on what we had then red??
I see the signings keep coming two more midfielders, making it fifteen to chose from and only three strikers,,such a well balanced squad with all the midfield signings it's still cash and Osborn that are the best two.
Look how he praised bridcutt for his performance and then dropped him and now gone out and signed two more holding ones, bet bridcutt confused with that one??
Crazy decision making by manager and owner alike.
Can see big trouble ahead.

11.) 06 Sep 2018 15:23:29
Well said Worthing. You have to wade through a lot of tripe on here before you realise how much there actually is. It's not AK it's the players on the pitch who are not doing it, so we need to give the team time, and therefore the Manager. Forget the Doomsayers on here, have a little faith.

12.) 06 Sep 2018 15:28:46
No Worthing, the people who wanted Krankie in the first place were the problem. We already had a manager with a plan to buy young footballing players (like Brentford who beat us comfortably do/did).

13.) 06 Sep 2018 15:44:25
Red and B.S. Red I have disagree with you.
It's the person who chose the players that's at fault.
He doesn't even know who his best players are?
I'll give you and example of 2 inexperienced managers who hit the ground running with less time at their clubs as Manuel. Gerrard and Lampard.
Karanka has had more than adequate time at the club yet he signs another defensive midfielder. soon the whole team shall be filled with guess what?Midfielders.
Karanka is way out of his depth.
He will be gone by his own doing. Crazy tactics on and off the field.

14.) 06 Sep 2018 16:00:15
Lol crap krankie taxi for the clueless man please i'm paying πŸ˜†

15.) 06 Sep 2018 16:04:11
I’ll go halves πŸ˜‚

16.) 06 Sep 2018 17:03:57
To All who replied to my last email.

Pretty much every single manager we have had since Brian has been dismissed too early, with one or two exceptions - I'm thinking probably Platt and Alex Mcleish.

The point is that its all very unhealthy conjecture at this point. You are creating bad feeling based on your opinion. Until this squad has had 6 months to show what it is capable of, no-one on hear nor even Β±Sir Brian in the sky can honestly hand-on-heart say that they know and can prove that it's all going to go wrong.

You are however as I said before banging one nail into the coffin with your constant negativity. Its like it's more important for Karanka to fail anyd you be proven right, than it is for him and Forest to be a success.

I'm not comparing him to Brian or anyone else, nor did I. What I'm saying is you have to give him time, just like we did with Brian.

Take another example Sir Alex Fergusson. Nearly all the Man Utd fans were saying exactly the same stuff about him.

Very similar scenario, a big club longing for success with fans baying for each managers head in a short space of time including Fergy!

All I'm saying is, shut your noise for a while and give the guy the chance to succeed or fail on his own merit and stop rocking the boat.

17.) 06 Sep 2018 17:31:34
You can talk all day about what some great managers did originally before success.
The game has moved on,we now have ffp to contend with,so when you say let's give it 6 months and see what happens?
The owners can't afford to wait that long, they have opened up the cheque book and they want a return and nothing else will do.
We as paying fans have a right to voice our concerns and to be honest 8 wins from 29 games would get most managers the sack.
He has an opportunity to turn things around after we go to Swansea with three home games, sheff weds,Rotherham and stoke, if he can't get two wins from those games, then we will be near the bottom and I can't see him surviving.
Like I said,it won't be the fans that get him sacked,it will be his own judgment on team selection and tactics

18.) 06 Sep 2018 17:40:09
Worthing are you krankie in disguise as 2stars great saying do one πŸ˜†

19.) 06 Sep 2018 17:56:34
If Krankie continues to pick out of form players he will continue to get poor results. The result will be mid table at best and bus fare home with a P45 for the boss. It won't be down to the fans.

I wonder what Dougie Freedman could have done with Β£26M.

20.) 06 Sep 2018 18:49:53
Sheffield Wednesday game sold out.Not bad for a team with a meddling owner and a clueless manager.Apparently.

21.) 06 Sep 2018 19:09:17
So keep sacking managers until we find one that will win how many out of the first 29 games? 12, 15,18 or 20? What's an acceptable amount? Why don't we have 3 managers and give them 15 games each and the one which wins the most gets the job πŸ˜‚ Or is 15 games too many?

22.) 06 Sep 2018 19:55:31
Perks look at Leeds and derby new mangers have come in made a "few" signings and will have more wins than krankie by October,it's not just his win ratio,it's the lack of evidence that would suggest he's getting there and we are looking like a team.
We played Bristol and West Brom and looked like we were on the right tracks,he then derails it all and makes wholesale changes and has carried on doing so.
It's his actions that are worrying not just his awful win rate.

23.) 06 Sep 2018 22:54:50
Lee Johnson at Bristol City will be having a laugh at all the Foremoaning given the stick he went through for far worse performances and came out the other side!

Onward and Upward

24.) 06 Sep 2018 23:06:15
Totally agree FF. If there had been some consistency in our performances and we could see we were heading in the right direction, but had just been a little unlucky, we would be encouraged. We've actually rode our luck in a few games and that finally ran out in the Brentford game.

25.) 07 Sep 2018 00:17:49
So change manager again and after 10 games you don't like what you see what then ? . . change manager again? Is this not what we've been doing for several years now.Works well yeah, real progress πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ

26.) 07 Sep 2018 12:05:57
It isn't 10 games though is it? Give him a bit more time by all means but if he can't pick in-form players then sack him. He may realise what he is doing wrong and sort this mess out.

I understand the desire for stability. However continually signing new players rather than developing what a club has and adding a FEW very good players/leaders is anything but stability.

Stability is developing the best academy players and buying young ones where we are lacking and having a few old heads to bring them through.

27.) 08 Sep 2018 19:45:09
RedCyclist before the signings who were these players to develop? The squad was dire, seriously bad! We were nearly relegated 2 seasons running.

I think that derby look like they might mean business this year, I was hoping they would get a tonking but Lampard seems to be getting them firing, they've got Bolton on Saturday and can see them winning that comfortably, hope i'm wrong, only time will tell

Talking of stitches. My 1960's replica Forest shirt came yesterday. ( the one we played in when I went to my first match ). The bloomin badge was almost under the left arm pit. I looked a right narna in it.
I've un picked it and I now have to google " how to stitch a badge on a shirt".
whatever the outcome, I'm wearing it today.

Yep your right Boro did it as well.
Result of the round should go to Burton, playing against a strike force of wood and vydra and a strong side in general.

Some of us just say it as we see it,it's nothing to do with being negative it's what we have witnessed with our own eyes.
If we play well I'm always saying so,if we play badly I also say so.
Problem is we havnt played well that often for the past few years.
It's called just being honest and not glossing over poor performances and just hoping that something will turn up,no point kidding yourself that everything is Rosie when it's not
I've always said I didn't want karanka here, but I'll praise him when we perform well and I'll tell you when we don't,
I don't do excuses, the odd bad game will happen and we will have the odd bad luck,
All about opions and that's the fun of this site.
If we all agreed the add would be redundant.

Long range passing from geddy and sometimes he gets it right sometimes he doesn't.
He still sits deep and then that only leaves the wingers and calvahalo to get ahead, personally think we are usually to deep to cause much of a problem for the opposition.

We'll only win by the odd goal as long as the defence keeps clean sheets, then we'll get away with it just.

We play a lot of long ball from pants, fox and geddy at times and mostly it comes to nothing as a lack of genuine pace is apparent,as it is in midfield.
When lolley plays he gives that bit more pace and direct running that the others don't,but spend most games on the bench.

The striker is often isolated with the midfield 30 yards behind, calvahalo has to get closer to the striker for me to be effective as most of his work is in positions that can't hurt the opposition.
Hopefully this will improve with games together.

Three championship games in eight days he has to change it,why can't he win ?
I'm one of his biggest critics and have never hid from that, but a good away point at Swansea and two home wins was what was needed and job done.
Two very tough away games coming up,he now has a settled back four, why risk them in a cup game?
Only one fit striker and can't see him risking grabban,be good to see some of the fringe players come in.
Darikwa figs Dawson bridcutt Steele gonclaves appiah the new Greek lad ,easier than trying to spell, maybe even gomis? These players need game time?
He seems to have settled on about eighteen players so give him a headache and go out to show what you can do I say to the rest of the squad.
Stoke will rest players as well,he needs wins in the championship or it's curtains for rowett
Don't really see what your on about in a cup game against championship opposition.
