Well done Joe Worrall great victory tonight, getting fitter and stronger, keep going lad, your a future captain when karanka has gone.

Ff799

1.) 04 Oct 2018 23:07:07
He was tremendous. Should be in our team.

2.) 05 Oct 2018 18:55:26
So your just hand picking one game where he played well?why not tell us how well he played at the weekend in the league he plays in?then again that wouldn’t fit your agenda would it so you will Just paper of that game!

3.) 06 Oct 2018 10:33:01
No we just fancied watching one of our own playing European football and he did well.
What's wrong with that Sutton and what agenda would you be on about🤔

4.) 06 Oct 2018 12:24:02
Your agenda is right there in your first post.

5.) 06 Oct 2018 13:05:12
What's that then perks?
That we have a future captain?

6.) 06 Oct 2018 14:49:38
Aye, let's have a thinly veiled pop at Karanka by talking up Joe Worrall.

7.) 06 Oct 2018 16:01:38
Not thinly veiled. He is an exponent of boring football.

8.) 06 Oct 2018 17:13:51
Was you bored today northnotts?to be fair you’ve had a right nightmare today.

9.) 06 Oct 2018 17:57:31
Other than 60 mins v WBA home league games have been dire.

Listen Sutty I want us to win. Today was Fantastic. Let’s have more of the same.

10.) 06 Oct 2018 18:53:49
You want forest to win yes just not the man who sends the team out.lets give him so breathing space with all the moaning and let the team and him give us as good season.last year we lost 7 of our 1st 12games.ak is making us hard to beat which you need to be in this league.results will come.

11.) 06 Oct 2018 19:50:22
Your wasting your time Sutton. This has nothing to do with results. I guarantee if we were top it would be the same story. They don't like the manager or his style of football.

12.) 06 Oct 2018 19:51:52
Sutton you take life to seriously mate,it's makes no difference what we say on here as to how long the manager stays,it's an entertainment industry and it's far better to be entertained, the home games haven't been entertaining, let's hope that gets better along with results, our away form is very good it's just the h9me form letting us down a bit and that's the games most fans watch.
Enjoy the win and chill

13.) 06 Oct 2018 20:15:26
Fans take this sort of thing to the ground and if they don’t like what they see they will moan in the ground the sheep will follow and make the ground a place full of moaners which will then filter to the owner.4games ago fans wanted karanka out now we are 5th and unbeaten in 6 games and lost only one all season.

14.) 06 Oct 2018 20:27:09
Get in. Well done Aitor and the boys. Great result. 5th in the league and I am loving it. After the years of dire rubbish its superb to be up there at last. Thank you.

15.) 06 Oct 2018 20:46:43
Like I said Sutton you take life too seriously, especially if you believe what you've just written.

16.) 06 Oct 2018 20:47:02
Middlesbrough 0 Nottingham Forest 2. Hello?

17.) 06 Oct 2018 20:54:00
I'm with Sgetty,hello 🍻🍻🍷🍷🍷

18.) 07 Oct 2018 20:38:16
It's nice to know you're my Bud!

25 Sep 2018 20:46:28
Well Blackburn are taking us seriously for Saturday, rested the team tonight, can' see karanka following suit.

Ff799

1.) 25 Sep 2018 21:34:11
To be fair Ff I think that will be the case for all teams. Rest days all round I reckon.

2.) 25 Sep 2018 22:00:50
Yep your right Boro did it as well.
Result of the round should go to Burton, playing against a strike force of wood and vydra and a strong side in general.

17 Sep 2018 21:04:01
I see from my email that the club have changed the policy of selling away tickets online only, glad about that, comes into force for the Boro game. only 1300 seat allocated for that one. that's one I ain't missing, athough I'll do my drinking in Sedgefield.

Ff799

1.) 17 Sep 2018 22:33:41
Ff799 where did you get a drink on Saturday mate I do know some of the locals ain’t that hospitable lol

2.) 18 Sep 2018 07:30:50
Never drink in the cities or towns on match day, pull up somewhere nice and no aggro.
Neath this time nice and friendly.

3.) 18 Sep 2018 11:41:12
Blimey you like going well out your way for a drink in Sedgefield?

Quickest way in and out of the Riverside is to come in from the south on the A172 or A174 and go in through Teesport where you can park safely for free in the industrial area and walk up to the ground.

Some great pubs in the villages around Stokesley and Great Ayton. They are a friendly bunch up in Cleveland!

4.) 18 Sep 2018 13:00:11
I make a whole day of it red not interested the quickest way in or out, kiss the missus good night on the Friday and say hello Sunday morning, that's a good session Thank you very much.😀😀

5.) 18 Sep 2018 21:25:27
Ah that explains why I got the text inviting me down on Friday night for a stay over! 🤣

6.) 18 Sep 2018 21:56:01
Well we all have to go one day,at least you'd have a smile on your face.😁😁😁

16 Sep 2018 22:36:46
Another match day passes, another draw, who will we sign this week?
Would it be a midfielder?
I really hope so.
It's the obvious weak link and I'm not joking🤔

Ff799

1.) 17 Sep 2018 07:45:13
Just read an article on the post website.
Krankie claims grabben is the best striker in the championship.
Well Senor Manuel if you played 2 upfront he would be!

2.) 17 Sep 2018 10:06:27
I completely agree ff.
We have an abundance of midfielders. Unfortunately none of them are playing particularly well. If we are genuinely aiming for promotion, we need much better. Not good management initially but at least he seems to be doing something about it.

3.) 17 Sep 2018 11:31:54
Like the England football team there is a dearth of op quality holding midfielders in league football which is why most teams play 2 and top quality "10" playmaker's are as rare as rocking horse doodah.
Cannot blame the manager for shifting through the options to find the right blend ?
Back 4 sorted. Midfield combo's becoming clearer. Additional striker imminent.
Onward & Upward

4.) 17 Sep 2018 12:00:54
Would be great if on weds night he tries to catch Wednesday out by playing DM and LG up top together

5.) 17 Sep 2018 12:24:12
OK aitor. Sorry I meant red. if what you think makes you happy you keep believing in Manuel 👍

6.) 17 Sep 2018 13:51:30
FBB Firing from the hip yet again!
What exactly do you disagree with on my post?
All we seem to get from you is AK Out when the evidence suggests we are making progress albeit not as fast as your Championship Manager xbox results?
On the basis you have sacked him on your game what's your replacement management plan and squad selection? 🤔

7.) 17 Sep 2018 21:08:13
Our resident Banker must be having trouble recruiting his new manager having sacked AK?

8.) 18 Sep 2018 05:00:49
Red very good. This banker doesn't need to find a replacement as one is already on standby when the big Greek pulls the trigger.
Anyway how's life as an armchair fan?
Red the Walter Mitty of forest fans. 😂😂😂.

12 Sep 2018 23:17:00
When we go on about systems they can all work to be honest.
If you play 442 then you need a striker to get 20 and the other to get 10 then midfield chip in with a few and defenders get the odd one .
433 the goals get shared pretty evenly or you get one striker scoring the bulk and the other two getting their fair share.
You play 4231 and you need a 20 goal striker at least, you then need one midfielder to get to double figures, you then need your wingers to score a few, then your two centre backs to score ten between them and the full backs need a couple

Ff799

1.) 13 Sep 2018 00:21:41
All you need to do is play to your strengths

2.) 13 Sep 2018 11:01:57
Exactly 2 tone,we havnt got the players to play karankas system and yet he sticks to it rigidly and he's bought most of these players in.

3.) 13 Sep 2018 12:40:55
What poppycock about systems and goals.

4-2-3-1 produced 63 goals-31 against and a second placed finish with 16 players sharing the goals and the top scorer getting 8.

Far better spreading the risk around the park than relying on one main man especially given our injury luck with strikers!

By the way the manager of that successful team was the man you want out!

Even Wolves scoring 82 goals only had 2 players in double figures and the top scorer was a midfielder with 17!

But then the Foremoaner's are stuck in the past and fail to acknowledge the game has changed even if some of it is not the "Forest Way" which has not exactly got us very far in 20 years?

4.) 13 Sep 2018 12:49:13
So where are our 63 goals going to come from red?
You keep harping on about his past at Boro, well stuff Boro,he's here now and he needs to up his game to get anywhere near your stats both goals for and against.
We have only got about eight players capable of scoring a goal, and add that to a leaky defence, then we aren't going to get far with 4 2 3 1

5.) 13 Sep 2018 14:19:09
63 goals?
Wtf are you on about?
You haven't a clue😭😭

6.) 13 Sep 2018 14:20:00
FF I think red is getting confused with basketball scores not football.

7.) 13 Sep 2018 15:14:10
Redinexile 63 gols over 46 games is hardly prolific is it.?

8.) 13 Sep 2018 15:44:48
It should not be difficult to restrict goals against. Most on this site were against dariwika and Osborn but they have been replaced largely. The centre backs have changed as everyone considered Worrall a liability. So Steele needs to replace Pants or they need to all up their game. Grabban is a proven goal scorer in the premier league. Given the correct service he will score in the teens. This side has all the correct elements in place and especially a manager who needs our support

9.) 13 Sep 2018 15:59:04
Scoring 8 in 6 league games so far should see us over the 60 goal mark for a full season. How many we concede in that time will be main question.

10.) 13 Sep 2018 16:09:12
FBB Go and check your facts before sounding off. Those stats are a matter of record!

FF799's post was banging on about the need for a 20 goal striker which is not essential in the modern game and that was my point!

You both need to clear your eyes of the red mist of negativity and deflection everytime you are presented with facts that disprove your claims.

Interesting how you are experts on predicting failure when you have not seen any of the new players more than 2 or 3 times?

11.) 13 Sep 2018 17:15:36
Go back to bed red😂😂😂

12.) 13 Sep 2018 20:27:06
We know the stats are facts and you love telling us his past record, but always forget to mention his disastrous time in the prem with them.
Your telling us not to live in the past and all you do is go on about karankas past.
It's what he's doing now that matters and I hope he changes and is a success, but I don't think he can change.
He's made some poor decisions in signings and team selection since the day he arrived,January he bought in Watson as his captain and now he'll probably be cast aside and that won't go down well in the dressing room.
Team spirit gets you a long way and continually chopping and changing does nothing to get any confidence flowing.
Your faith in him is based purely on one achievement,I don't have that faith having watched us play 29 games under him,the run of not scoring was painfull and the fact he has the reputation for being a great defence coach makes things worst as we concede most games.
So all in all he's got to improve drastically to win me over

13.) 13 Sep 2018 22:01:01
Here's another problem for me redinexile about karanka.
He's been talking about Dawson.
He says he was unlucky against Bristol he played well but had to come off near the end,I then felt he wouldn't be able to play another game a few days later,so he lost his place and we played really well,so in the following game he lost his place as well, then I was considering playing him after the mistakes against Wigan and Birmingham, but he then got injured,he's one to consider against Swansea now he's fit.
No wonder the players get confused.

14.) 13 Sep 2018 22:28:28
Sorry is keeping up with all the homework you have not done keeping up up at night?
😰 😰 😰

15.) 14 Sep 2018 07:10:06
Red the voice of reasoning and boring like krankies tactics 🤭

16.) 14 Sep 2018 07:23:16
I think the one thing we didn't get was a big commanding centre back. Dawson is ok but not big. Hef looks ok but not that big. Fox is ok but not big. We concede too many headers. Flint is the man we needed. HUGE.

17.) 14 Sep 2018 09:08:53
The problem lies in many of the above answers. AK has only had 1 job in England before Forest. We talk about him like he's done this many times before but he's only had 1 job. Ok that was a success but so was Nigel Adkins but we wouldn't want the likes of him near our club. AK is still inexperienced at this management game and it's showing at the moment in my opinion By the way it was good to relive that Colin Barratt goal on Facebook last night. A memorable night and although 40 years ago it still feels like it was yesterday

18.) 14 Sep 2018 09:59:33
Dawson's not big ?
Six foot two, how big would you like?

19.) 14 Sep 2018 13:26:42
Did someone say Heff doesn't look that big?

20.) 14 Sep 2018 14:34:42
Heff is the size of the hoff so don't hassle the heff.

21.) 14 Sep 2018 16:17:10
4,2,3,1 would be great if we had a striker that can play the lone role and 2 part of the formation didn't keep dropping into the back 4 looks more like 6,5,0

22.) 14 Sep 2018 16:52:50
The way Manuel plays his team Messi would not be to score.

23.) 15 Sep 2018 01:30:58
FBB
The Melton Road Humble Pie Shop has your order and its getting bigger by the day!
Fill your boots to keep that wind flowing. 👺😡💩

24.) 15 Sep 2018 07:02:04
I’m surprised you know Nottingham as I thought you lived in sheep land😂😂😂

11 Nov 2018 18:51:26
After watching city vs United what type of football do you prefer?
The pep brand? Or the Mourinho brand?
Ak plays the Mourinho brand .
Just asking

Ff799

1.) 11 Nov 2018 19:14:20
I was just thinking the same thing attack attack attack right till the last great to watch why mourinhio sat scribbling lol

2.) 11 Nov 2018 19:31:55
For me the brand of football so far hasn't been that relevant although in the longer term I'd love to see us playing the "Forest way". Firstly I was glad to see safety and stability. Then came consolidation and with it we have seen progression. Also our boys playing as a team and fighting til the final whistle. Also not capitulating when going a goal behind.Yes I would like to see free flowing football and a team not constrained by fear! But I think we should take it one step at a time by not trying to run before we can walk. It's not that long since we were crawling along on our bellies after all!Just saying!

3.) 11 Nov 2018 19:44:35
But Sgetty will ak ever play the pep way?🤔

4.) 11 Nov 2018 20:08:48
It's easy to play the Pep Way when you have the players he has to pick from. Until then I'll settle for winning football the AK Way!

5.) 11 Nov 2018 20:48:38
What is the Forest way because for twenty years is only been one way.

6.) 11 Nov 2018 20:50:44
Ff only pep can play the pep way. The AK way is a means to an end.EM is no FWZ! lol.

7.) 11 Nov 2018 21:33:19
You could say that about mourinhio red as he has great players as well but chooses to play the karanka way visa versa brilliant football from Man city though class above anything

8.) 11 Nov 2018 21:35:02
Let's put it another way.how about nunos way at wolves, not the riches of man city.or the Eddie Howe way at Bournemouth.
You can be succesfull and entertain,it's just having the bottle.

9.) 11 Nov 2018 21:38:43
Nobody doubts that city barca play great football.how would pep get on in this league trying to get average ability players playing that type of football?
Ak is our manager and doesn’t play that way he likes to not concede and work from there and that worked ok for him so far.

managers don’t change there beliefs especially when it works.all pep has to do now is go to Italy and win the league there and he will of done what mourinho has done in 3 different countries.
In the championship and from my point of view after the years we have had getting a result is better than trying to entertain and not.

10.) 11 Nov 2018 21:53:30
Very well because he makes the opposition worry about his team's,he doesn't worry about them,as he has faith in his beliefs

11.) 11 Nov 2018 21:56:41
So your agreeing with me Sutton, it's not entertaining?

12.) 11 Nov 2018 22:03:06
Sutton he'd walk it in answer to your question

13.) 11 Nov 2018 22:46:54
How many Utd players would get in the City team?

14.) 11 Nov 2018 23:08:25
I can accept the “style “ as a means to an end we are competitive and respected again that’ll do for now just hope as the lack of defeats build confidence we can become a little more expansive at home as I think this set up is perfect for an away team,

15.) 12 Nov 2018 05:35:36
I would like us to play the Klopp way, but that comes in time. City play a very technical and intelligent brand of football, it’s more a test of out moving and passing your opponent than it is quick counters or physical battles. We don’t have the players to play the tika taka style football, Carvalho could probably do it as could Osborn and maybe Cash. For the brand we play we have a lot of players who can do it. It’s a quick and dirty path to success. Still I’d rather have success playing ugly than failure playing beautifully. We’d all love to work with a model, but if they can’t do the job you need them to do, then employ someone who can do it no matter how unattractive they are.

16.) 12 Nov 2018 13:06:32
How about the Sheffield United way. Play attacking football with bargain basement players attacking and defending as one. All they are missing is a decent striker. It can be done playing 2 up front just needs the bottle to do it. Something AK lacks.

17.) 12 Nov 2018 18:26:04
If we played Pep way people would moan about sideways passes and trying to keep the ball.

18.) 12 Nov 2018 22:20:19
I'll stick with what we have got as its our best chance of getting out this league !

19.) 12 Nov 2018 23:02:36
We have already tried the pep way with the breadman😂😂😂

20.) 13 Nov 2018 00:09:53
'Nottingham Forest retained the European Cup when they defeated Hamburg in Madrid last night.

The winning goal was a typical piece of audacity by John Robertson midway through the first half, but Forest's latest success will be better remembered for the organisation and composure of their defence and, above all for Shilton's goalkeeping which together enabled them to withstand wave upon wave of attacks by Hamburg.'

If it's good enough for OBE, I don't think we should criticise AK.

10 Nov 2018 17:39:15
Better performance than last week, especially second half, defensively solid apart from a dodgy keeper, far better without fox,who looked good in possession but can't defend.
Grabbs had three good chances but not his day.

Ff799

1.) 10 Nov 2018 19:46:55
Good solid performance today but for me we still have a ingredient missing, not sure what it is, could be in midfield ie geddy or cav or a winger that can cross a good ball.but something is still not there.

2.) 10 Nov 2018 20:27:39
Got to agree kb first half was painfull to watch, too many sideways and back passes, think stoke were there for the taking but it needed a more adventurous approach and bringing on Jacob for geddy wasn't what was required to win the game.
Just for once wouldn't it be nice to see another striker on for the last ten minutes to support grabban?
But it's never going to happen.
Missing two creative midfielders or another striker in home games would be my missing ingredient

3.) 11 Nov 2018 00:52:01
Don’t it make u laugh? It wasn’t grabbans day yet he still stays on an we don’t bring on another forward to see what he can do

4.) 11 Nov 2018 09:40:36
The missing link is Geddy's position where the ball needs moving quicker and more accurately to play in Carvalho in the right areas for him to play the killer ball.

We are not getting the best out of Carvalho as he is receiving the ball in the wrong areas and is then being asked to do too much from a static position or challenge in the air?

Fix the Geddy problem and we will be flying!

5.) 11 Nov 2018 14:15:26
Yep like I said on here a while ago, everybody ‘s out of step but carvallhio, wise up mate he just isn’t the player every body hoped he was going to be,

03 Nov 2018 18:44:37
Take the three points but bored rigid with the performance if that's what you want to watch then OK, but it's shocking football to watch

Ff799

1.) 03 Nov 2018 18:53:29
I thought we were fantastic today , higher up the pitch physical, strong and aggressive. That’s the way this league is I’m afraid mate.

2.) 03 Nov 2018 19:14:46
See I can’t work you out your not happy with this but was ok watching the last managers team passing it around on there own half hardly venturing forward with any intent!

3.) 03 Nov 2018 19:30:23
Sutton it was awful end of.
I like entertainment in football, there is no entertainment, ifit lights your candle then enjoy.

4.) 03 Nov 2018 20:05:07
We have seen some entertaining football, we aren’t going to play stellar football in this league every week, it’s about grinding out results, this year the championship is as hard as it’s ever been.
There’s a few on here and it looks like there pint is half empty, but mine and the majority on here, it’s half full.

5.) 03 Nov 2018 20:22:35
Agreed mate, mines is half full. and it still has a big frothy head on it!!!
To beat one of the top sides after the Burton result has to be the perfect tonic???
Honestly!!!

6.) 03 Nov 2018 20:24:19
It’s no worse than the football we played under warburton that you was so happy with.it just doesn’t make any sense.under the last manager we’re were very pedestrian and kept the ball in our own half as much as possible.what was entertaining about that?
And don’t say it was like city or barca because it wasn’t.

7.) 03 Nov 2018 20:37:17
One shot on target in 90 mins from two teams and you call that entertainment???

8.) 03 Nov 2018 20:47:15
Ff,
You could see it as two teams of similar ability fighting it out, but for the most part cancelling each other out, until win got a break and took it.

9.) 03 Nov 2018 20:58:05
Where have I called that entertaining?so what was so entertaining last season under warburton that you were so happy with?

10.) 03 Nov 2018 21:07:56
3 shots on target.

11.) 03 Nov 2018 22:06:54
Wow three?? What three were they then ??

12.) 03 Nov 2018 23:08:55
Still swerving my questions I see.

13.) 03 Nov 2018 23:11:42
Beat top of the table and your still not happy.you would of been over the moon with that result and performance this time last season.

14.) 04 Nov 2018 09:53:29
Ff799, clearly does not appreciate the tactical chess that is played out by the better teams in this league. There is more to good football than counting shots on goal!
Why not celebrate the fact that Forest have kept 3 top sides away from his nominated "worst keeper" without conceding a goal ( Var has cancelled Leeds goal) and barely a shot?
Clougie would have taken 1-0 all day long to grind out results over 46 games.

15.) 04 Nov 2018 09:54:51
No pleasing some folk. We lose and they moan, which is fair enough sometimes. We win and they still moan. Does it really matter how entertaining the football is if we get 3 points? No extra points for scoring more goals and no extra points for playing entertaining football.

16.) 04 Nov 2018 09:55:40
Ff779, I don’t think the game was ever going to be pretty mate but in this division with a lot of teams of a similar standard there’s going to be plenty more to come must admit I thought it looked a draw all day but I think it’s a game we wouldn’t have won in the last few seasons i’m happy with the win as regards the style we just got to hope the ends justify the means, anything to have a shot at getting out of this bloody division.

03 Nov 2018 14:13:20
Well thank god karank and has come to his senses and dropped Watson, long overdue.
Hope yacob is an improvement

Ff799

27 Oct 2018 19:38:25
That's s a great result

Ff799

1.) 27 Oct 2018 20:06:31

Good result. Shocking way to concede but the home form is the problem.

Raffa won't get the bullet and Colback won't sign any contract while he's on 40K a week, he'll wait to see what's on offer as a free agent.

The clean sheets are coming because Dawson is in the side and captain.

It's interesting you say we lack a quality box to box player,AK was happy with his squad before a ball was kicked and has more or less settled on two of colback Watson and geddy,he's praised both bridcutt and Jacob and still left them out next game, the Greek lads not had a look in nor has Yeats, can't see him bringing in another central midfielder Osborn can play there as well as goncalves, but he's a waste of space and Dias can do it as well.
Goalkeeper should be top priority and cover at left back plus a striker.

That's the problem red "winning" matches,we've only won six out of seventeen.
Draws need to be turned into wins, especially at home if you expect promotion under AK then more wins are needed.
