Why Stuart Pearce should be our long term Alex Ferguson?

1. He understands the club and will do the best for the club first before personal ambition.

2. He is honest with the players. Those players that do not respect that should always go.

3. He and his team have the best current CV of any manager or coach working with young English players. Forest will only be successful long term bringing through youngsters.

4. He has worked with most of the best managers and players. More importantly he has applied the knowledge.

5. He and his team are not afraid to change the system during a game. Our unbeaten start is down to the management team. They will not always get it right but it shows courage to change what is wrong rather than blame others!

6. He explains his decisions. How refreshing but so do Van Gaal, Martinez, Rodgers so he is in excellent company.

We have always had a club ethos/philosophy of playing innovative and attractive football.
We have an owner that has bought into the club ethos/philosophy

We now have a manager who understands fully that ethos and has developed his own philosophy based on an excellent grounding unlike others!

Players will come and go but those that stay and buy into the ethos/philosophy will be successful.

Foundations now laid, fans, owner and manager are in for the long term provided we all stick together?

The players may take a little longer but so far we have the best bunch of characters we have had since OBE. Success will follow!

Agreed!

Must admit, I loved the idea of SP coming home, a little worried of him falling from grace, but to be fair to the bloke, he has done everything that he has said he would.

Bar the results I only think it's Only the England Job that will prevent SP being here for years & years. Everyone knows hand on heart there is only one job bigger than ours for Pearce.

I think that it's only the likes of Dalglish, Shearer & Giggs that can only ever truly understand how Pearce feels about the club.

I truly believe that Fawaz will give Pearce some slack when results slip. As financially, Pearce as Forest manager is the best money making decision he's made whilst been at the club.

Trickie - you raise a great point "when results slip". We've had a great start to the campaign under SP and what a great set up he has created in terms of players, staff and ethos. However, we will lose games this season, maybe even a few on the bounce, it's how WE react to that which will shape our season. Me personally, I'm always going to make a conscious decision to stay positive, as I know the club is in the best possible hands with SP and the backing of Fawaz. So come rain or shine, I'll be backing them all the way as I know that the cream will rise to the top in the end. COYR!
