My old Dad is a brummie and before he moved to Nottingham he was a blues fan (he's been a Forest season ticket holder for 25 years). He still looks out for Birminghams results and was pretty happy with how they were doing being 6th in the table.
It will be very interesting to see where they finish with Slobster in charge. Great player but completely unproven manager. Big gamble.

100% agree, Stevie. I hate to see a manager/ coach, who is doing well, lose his job just so the club can get a 'bigger name' in. I hope they get relegated.

I was at that game. Sean O Driscoll had got the team playing attractive passing football and had the dressing room onside. We had some good experienced players like Billy Sharpe, Dexter Blackstock, Andy Reid and Adlene Gueidiara.
As you say, mate, 6th in the table on Boxing Day.
Then, by the time I got home, the rumours were circulating.
I liked O Driscoll, like SC one of the most intelligent thinkers about the game. I thought even Fawaz couldn’t be so stupid as to sack him…….
Not only was he stupid enough to remove him but he replaced him with the Hughton esque dinosaur that was Alex Mcleish who lasted about 2 months I think!
I mean …. DAMN as Wil Smiths character says in “Men In Black”! ????.
