I honestly didn't realize that strikers had a cut off date when apparently they can't score any more or contribute! 30 seams to be the magic number. Teddy sheringham? Peter crouch? Kevin Philips? All different types of strikers all went into there late 30s at top level, give the man a chance, I'm sure if he came on and knocked a few center backs around and maybe headed a winning goal in the playoffs many would play a different tune! R2d. Like it or not giving a 3 year to someone who will only lose value should he not work out for us does seem a strange move. We have been burnt enough times with players refusing to leave when we want them to because no other club will pay the wages we give them. It is not about his ability, like UTF has said give him a 1 year deal with a option for another year. If he is confident in his own ability there should not be a problem.

ABF in an ideal world I totally agree but as we know we wasn't the only team in for him? Maybe it's not all about football either? Loads of people clambering for a John Terry or Micheal Dawson figure at the back to help our younsters, showing them professionalism, game management ect! Maybe his experience is vital? Whatever the deal, if he helps us to a top ten finish maybe pushing for top 6 while our youngsters learn and grow for the future he's worth it? I don't expect any fan expects him to start week in week out he just offers something different up front of needed? Amiobi knocked mills all over on Wednesday and to be honest I thought then that's something we don't have! Coyr.
