Zone marking sucks, a great idea spawned out of some coaching manual but in reality we need defenders marking attackers not imaginary zones. It never works.

I watched in horror as defenders like fox and darikwa gave up when they were skinned. No effort to get goalside. as for high balls into our box particularly at set pieces no one attacking the ball just chasing shadows!!!!

Brian Clough always said that space never scored a goal. with zonal marking even in the premier league it's scarey.
