Ed have you just seen nat jacksons tweet? Looks like djebbour refused to complete his medical so fawaz has pulled the plug on the deal

Makes you think He's got a long standing issue he doesn't want us to know about! I'd rather fawaz pull the plug then fork out tonnes on his contract if he's going to end up injured most the season can't blame fawaz think most chairmen would do the same

I hate to be doom & gloom but that doesn't look at all good! I thought it was pretty much in the bag with Djebbour.

Gone all quiet re Mulenga too. I was really excited about those 2 coming to Forest but hey. It appears that the search goes on!

I was wondering why he had not played that many games during his career compared to most his age, obviously has an injury and this is the reason he refused the full medical - lucky escape! Would be nice to buck the recent trend, and get a few decent players that have no issues with medicals. (aside from Jara and Lichaj that is:)

Pretty sure read somewhere he missed nearly a year with a injury, possibly ligament damaged but can't honestly remember. Googling may unearth what injury was

Definately the right thing to do but i'm nervous that our list of 12 wanted players is getting trimmed and we could end up with nothing or at best our third or fourth choice players. I moaned about Billy not having enough options in he's previous time here when he couldn't sign his top signings and we had to make do with what we had, hopefully its not deja vu.

Anyone know what we were going to pay for him? Websites suggest Djebbour is valued between £5-6m. Would have to presume a decent wage too.

Who else could we get that has regularly, and would still, bang in 20+ goals a season?

We want players that want to play for he club and before they do there are formalities to complete such as a full medical whatever has happped you can't blame the club or Fawaz. Sounds to me that there are mixed stories but either he wants to come 100 percent or he can do one.

This is starting to sound like Wesley Verhoek (the homesick lad who McClaren tried to sign). I can't see what all the fuss about Sharp is though and why people keep on harping on about signing him. He only seems to score goals when he plays for SOD - check his record.

Refusal to complete a medical is a new one on me - as was failing one at the eleventh hour on the basis of an eye test. I genuinely hope that the facts of the matter come out soon and aren't such that they result in Forest developing a reputation for messing people around at this stage of the recruitment process.

I rate the guy, I really do, his record in the Championship speaks for itself but if we don't sign Billy Sharp it's not the end of the world. The interest in Djebbour shows our net is being cast wide. Have faith, there's still over a month to go until the start of the season.

One other thing about Sharp is he definitely NOT a 100% effort type of player. Birmingham away this season he touched the ball once and that was to take the penalty, his application that day was appalling. Goal poachers with his record are like golddust and I'd be happy if we got him but he was the 'laziest' (for want of a better word) striker on our books last season.

Mmm n maybe he's just thought 'this doesn't feel right' or 'am I rushing in to sign for an English club when I have other offers' we've all felt stifled before hsvent we?
Maybe the powers that be and our other French speaking and Arab players will calm him down and he'll sign.
All I'm saying is don't jump the gun the fat lady ain't singing yet (ie I've not seen him holding up a Hull shirt- & if he does he'll be gutted hoof ball and relegation awaits!)
