Reid out for upto 6 weeks according to BD.

1.) 27 Feb 2014
Big loss. Definitely need midfield reinforcements.

2.) 27 Feb 2014
Can see this seaon blowing upin our faces how is it other clubs can get loan players and we struggle e g connor wickham

{Ed034's Note - we have had several loans players, so unless we were in for wickham, I cant see how we have struggled

3.) 27 Feb 2014
Think that's the end of our season, massive loss

4.) 27 Feb 2014
Well I would say that's our chances of automatic gone, with our current team will be lucky to still be in playoffs at the end of the season

5.) 27 Feb 2014
Surely they must be looking at bringing in someone, BD can't be that stupid to think we can carry on as we are.

6.) 27 Feb 2014
Reid is our 'jewel in the crown'. At a recent press conference Billy was that desperate for the loan market to open he stated he knew the exact date when he could take in loan players so taking the Play off final into consideration. So what's going off? Something's not right some where. If we don't get anybody in before the Wigan game they will be taking our place in the playoffs.

7.) 27 Feb 2014
I agree. The urgency in BD's comments were before Reid's injury. Ceratainly seems that something has happened in the last 10 days as it's gone all too quiet. Play off place looks uncertain now.

8.) 27 Feb 2014
Reid big loss. Next season we need to address this, although we have been unlucky, we have taken a gamble on players with a history of being injury prone like hobbs, wilson, vaughan. Lichaj has picked up a lot of niggling injuries this season, which leads me to believe we may have problems with him too. they are all quality footballers, but we need to seriously think how much game time we are going to get out of them.

9.) 27 Feb 2014
Somehow the Reds have to hang on to a play off place. This is going to prove extremely difficult given the number of key players injured.
It's know ones fault, it's the name of the game. Billy can only put out a team which is available to him.
The one thing that could be in the Reds favour is that come the play off matches should we be in there, we could have most of our main men back and fit. Wether they can be match fit is another thing.
Until then, do your best lads, we can't ask anymore from you.

10.) 27 Feb 2014
I must admit, I am astonished we haven't brought anyone in yet with a huge game approaching! Last week's result clearly demonstrates that 7 first team injuries is a step beyond Billy's excellent ability to motivate in order to grind out results. Are you a little concerned Ed or do you remain calm?

{Ed034's Note - of course I'm concerned, how can you not be with the injury last we have.
I'm very impressed with billy and the whole squad to have got us is this position, given the amount of new players we have signed and the fact our injuries are to the sort of key players that have sustained them

11.) 27 Feb 2014
Oh dear let's wish him well for a speedy recovery
im sure he will be in the dressing gome helping to lift the team

12.) 27 Feb 2014
With Reid out. Maybe it's time to give Stephen McLaughlin his chance, as he's a natural L. Winger. Abdoun can play left but that's not his natural position. Haven't seen him play mind, but surely he gets paid for some reason?

{Ed034's Note - Reid has not been playing on the left wing, he has been playing central

13.) 27 Feb 2014
We've got troubles, but we've also got a very big squad and an able manager who knows how to get the best out of players. We need to look at the depth in our squad, maybe adjust the style of play to suit what we have available. Below, someone suggests Abdoun in a more central role for example. Necessity is the mother of invention, so we must adapt and give the players that are fit the best chance to perform.

14.) 27 Feb 2014
Even without Reid we're still a good playoff side, as long as we keep Paterson fit we'll do well

seems everyone's first thought is to moan and be negative

15.) 27 Feb 2014
"Even without Reid we're still a good play-off side" yeah, but without Landsbury, Wilson, Hobbs, Vaughan, Cohen we are not! Pato gets kicked to crap every game, how long before he is injured?! Would happily take a Play Off place now but unless we get some lads back fit, we have no chance in them.

Anyone else heard Landsbury absence is depression after splitting with his missus a few months ago?

A Block Kev

{Ed034's Note - it isn't true and is just an idiot on twitter who has made it up.

16.) 27 Feb 2014
I would play mackie in a central role not the creative influence that Reid is but his work rate and determination would help win the midfield battle abdoun left pato right and jara along with mackie, mackie also tracks back well what do you think ed?

{Ed034's Note - I don't think it would work. Mackie down the right running and pestering players

17.) 27 Feb 2014
Everyone is obviously cut up about Reid on top of the other key injuries but the people that matter oviously have a game plan. It makes sense to address Reid's herna problem now whilst he was out with the ankle for 2 weeks as this had been rumbling on for weeks - also they have looked at the games we have coming up after Wigan so the timing is good. So it's all about hanging in there until he's back in April.

18.) 28 Feb 2014
That could be the defining moment of our season. We have not replaced our injured players and lost to much ground on our rivals. Reidy is a major loss and we have no one to replace him.

19.) 28 Feb 2014
Massive loss it's going to be a struggle now but got to get behind them big time. We can still get in the play offs and once in there ya never know what happens.

20.) 28 Feb 2014
Redwatch, it's not really about hanging in there, we want to be pushing for top two and we need a couple in to do that rather than waiting for reidy to be fit. The position we have got ourselves in will be pointless if we don't try and push on now!
