Austin's effort wasn't that straight forward as it bounced just before he got to it and even if it was a mistake think about the great saves he has pulled off?
Great debut's from 3 out of the 4 new intake - Mendes looks particularly sharp. Overall good team performance, good tactics DF but I wish we could get more out of our set pieces.
Everyone is obviously cut up about Reid on top of the other key injuries but the people that matter oviously have a game plan. It makes sense to address Reid's herna problem now whilst he was out with the ankle for 2 weeks as this had been rumbling on for weeks - also they have looked at the games we have coming up after Wigan so the timing is good. So it's all about hanging in there until he's back in April.
Yes, the timing is a bit unusual but overall this has to be positive in terms of stability - let's hope Fawaz is a patient man. Why do some keep going on about Wes and a couple of other ex players? Wes was (and still is) a great defender and player for Forest but with Hobbs, Wilson, Cohen & Lichaj at the back with depth to cover, the back 4 is sorted in my view and people need to move on - the front 3rd is where the concentration needs to be as we move on towards the next transfer window.
I agree with Twf79 - this sounds like damage limitation from Molineux, just trying to maximise what they can get - they realise he's not hanging around.
French Red - I would love that to happen obviously but for goodness sake be realistic - you're saying we're going to stuff the side that have put 3 past Watford at Vicarage Road today. Had no problem with the team selection today and they held out well until the end - one of those things when you go down to 10.
