Football finances are like monopoly, totally unrelated to real life, but in the context of crazy football money, that's £1.3m very well spent. If he has a key role in getting us promoted then that's a £100m+ Coming our way next season. Great move all round and shows our ambition as a club.

Every time I hear we have offered a big contract I worry.

Blackstock (4 years on good money): Injured.

Abdoun (allegedly £25K/week): Personality defect (allegedly lol)

Hobbs: Injured immediately and hardly played last season

Reid (contract extension): Injured (almost immediately)

Wilson (champions league wages?): Hardly played for us.

Anyone notice a pattern?

I notice a pattern obviously, but it's just a pattern of unfortunate events that occurred. They all happened under billy Davies, who has been now known to run the players into the ground, causing eventual injuries. It owt happen under Pearce. Plus, every player mentioned there is in full training/starting eleven, apart from abdoun obviously
