Just seen on another site that Forest looking at Jonathan Soriano don't know much about accuracy. Looks to have good goal scoring figures but don't know much about him. Anyone else seen anything on this?

CyprusRed

1.) All I know is he plays for Red Bull Salzburg. He starts every season full of energy, but as it progresses, this wears off & he tends to descend into a deep depression. The club reckon the sponsor has a part to play in this somehow.

2.) Looks like he could be a top goalscorer in the championship!

3.) Right type of player, gets a lot of goals. But only Austrian league!

4.) Don't know about him tailing off during the season, he only joined Red Bull in January 2012, so he's only had one full season with them, during which he scored 32 goals in only 43 games, spread throughout the season. He has started this season on fire, scoring 7 in the first 4 games.

5.) ^^^ I think the poster above has missed the, non-too-subtle, irony in the first posters message!

6.) I think the op was taking the mick re the enegy comments with his clubs name being redbull ps he probably can play out wide because we know what red bull gives you after all. OK OK sorry Ed

7.) Someone didn't, get the red bull joke.

8.) Also scored a lot for Barcelona B team, looks to be a great player.

9.) These rumours are becoming an opera
Jonathan Soriano I would sooner have Three Tenors!

As I sometimes have too much time on my hands I also trawl other websites and other teams rumours QPR site has gone completely quiet regarding Austin sinse Harry came out and said he had no interest. Maybe he was trying to prevent Burnley from using this as a bidding platform.

All sites saying we putting a bid in for Carlton Cole not the best in my opinion for the wages he will require, think it's a statement of intent from Fawaz. Cole not as good as his ego.

CyprusRed

1.) A bid to who he's a free agent. {Ed034's Note - bid was the wrong word, but we as being linked with him in the media

Another site rumouring we are in a race with Hull and Leeds for Le Fondre hope so will send a good message.

CyprusRed

1.) If it's a race then we have no chance.

2.) Le fondre is the bookies favourite to sign for leeds {Ed034's Note -

3.) Leeds are in advanced talks. Newark Red

Does anyone else think it's ironic that one of the best ever left backs for this club and country is struggling to fill that position??

CyprusRed

I see Kiernan Wallace has now joined Sheffield United from Ilkeston. He was a player I am surprise Forest let go.

Hoping Psycho can pull off the deal for Bamford he really is a natural born goal scorer and think we can get the best out of him back at home!! His Ego clashed with BD but think he can show his true worth. A lot of sheep said he was too arrogant but that comes with the nature of a good striker

CyprusRed

{Ed034's Note - far more to it than egos

1.) What actually happened? I was under the impression money was declined by his agent/dad and then he clashed with BD.

Can you share any other details on this?

2.) Hes on the verge of signing for boro so let's move on.

Nice to see that we are helping with Dean Lewingtons testimonial in pre season games, Great accolade for a player these days to be at a club long enough to warrant a testimonial.

Think that the rumoured name change is great retains the history and generates new possibilities. Si long as we don't have to call it something stupid like Ipro I will be happy.

Think about it, once were officially sponsored by Kuwait shirt sales should go through the roof over there. That's bonafide income.

Looks like the experience SP had with the U21 is paying off he knows not only the young kids he worked with but also has in depth information of the ones who played against them. Good to know he is active in the market and being sensible. All the talk of our best players going is really unnecessary we have been told no talent going without silly money. let's give Fawaz and SP some credit the doom merchants have a reason to trust Fawaz as he has not gone back on promises and not failed to deliver. I am looking forward to this season as SP will give everything and will demand that from all his players.

Mancienne for me shows the qualities of a real professional, these big time charlies who want to go to a big team. MM rolled his sleeves up to prove himself not too big for the game and he really has a good engine.

Started my day off with a laugh. Henri is a real talent but I don't think his value will be realised until he has a full season without any major injuries. I hope we can keep him for the rest of the season.

I have a good friend who is a Palace fan and he said Zaha is a talent but is very lazy and if the game gets physical he goes missing. I think Pato has what Zaha doesn't a strong heart a will, just needs to be brought down to earth and SP is the person to do that. I hope we can bring out his true potential before someone else decides he has value.

Diarra is memorable to Forest fans from a cup win/slaughtering was removed at half time struggling to cope. Was one blamed for the capitulation of one of most memorable games.

Alternately give him a pay as you play contract he has to prove fitness to get paid but has all the club facilities and staff to give him the best chance.

Football has always been the same corruption is only hinted at never proven. The likes of Liverpool bought Nigel Clough not to play him but to prevent him being part of the opposition. God our saviour ole big head wasn't perfect, we missed the chance to build on our fortunes and move to a super stadium due to his arrogance. Who knows where we would have been if we took up this sponsorship. But football is a business and like all businesses don't expect a level playing field.

The pundits get paid to say the teams that were at the top last year and the ones who were there last year. Plus the teams that have had substantial cash injections.

I don't expect for a minute that we would employ a CEO who is not experienced, I sent my CV in but nothing has transpired. I believe the difficulty is getting someone who has a clear vision which matches with Fawaz. If you think they will be interviewing 30 people this week you are completely wrong with the criticism the club has received for sacking staff they will be more vigilant than ever with their recruitment.
