Just had an email through confirming that they will no longer be moving the away fans. {Ed034's Note - get in!!!! proper pleased

1.) 29 May 2013
On the o/s now. Still hope they move the away fans into a corner though. Get them next to a block. Entertaining!

2.) 29 May 2013
I shall await my email, perhaps they're sending them alphabetically?

3.) 29 May 2013
I read it slightly wrong, It also says that they will be continuing to look for an alternate place to seat the away fans

4.) 29 May 2013
Poor decision any away support of more than 1000 will totally out sing upper bridgford as they have done for years giving the away teams a great advantage. They need to be moved. {Ed034's Note - well if the rest of the ground joined in, WE might just out sing them together.
sensible move. why give the away support a good view and acoustics?? I am all for moving them, but not into a spot which will help there support out

5.) 29 May 2013
The nimbys win again {Ed034's Note - good

6.) 29 May 2013
Credit to the club, people wanted the away fans moved so they listened, the alternative that was put forward didn't work and the fans didn't want it and again they listened to what it was that the fans wanted, not every club would try and please the fans like this so we have to be grateful regardless of your stance on this issue

Pat {Ed034's Note - great post

7.) 29 May 2013
I take our managers wrong then saying they need moving as it gives the away team a great advantage {Ed034's Note - they have just said they are not moving there and are still considering where to possibly put them

8.) 29 May 2013
You've got to give Fawaz his dues, he certainly listens to the fans

9.) 29 May 2013
Nothing to do with Nimbys, go read it on the official website, the away support is still under consideration to re-locate them. That also applies to the poster saying home support will be outsung, we don't know at this time know where away support will move to.

10.) 29 May 2013
Smart move by forest. we need to stick them were nobody wants to sit. lower b. clough 2 blocks and if necessary. 2 blocks of bridgford lower. {Ed034's Note - give them 2,000 fans in lower bridge, which will take them up to just before the goal post, then give forest the rest???

11.) 29 May 2013
I think we should just stick them in the corner between lower bc and lower bridgford end. give them 2000 seats and be done with it. we've got to take each and every small advantage we can get. they all add up in the end

12.) 29 May 2013
Those in Bridgford Upper can celebrate now but I'm sure Fawaz and the club will come back next season with a proper plan and permission from the police to seat the away fans up there. {Ed034's Note - you say that like you are against your fellow fans in bridgford upper

13.) 29 May 2013
Bad move in my opinion we need that lower tier rammed with our fans you moaners in upper tier made a big mistake here. {Ed034's Note - moaners...us fans but a st each season and go to most away games. Us fans sing when the rest of the crush are quiet. Us fans spend a fortune on this club and got asked for our opinion, which we gave. If other fans were that bothered they would have also given there views and us fans would have to move. That didn't happen so don't go blaming us fans that gave a view, go blaming those fans that didn't

14.) 29 May 2013
Dont know why they don't shove the away fans in lower brian clough in the 2 sections next to bridgeford they've done it before when trent end and bridgeford stands was being built

15.) 29 May 2013
Fair play ed for you lot singing I agree I sat up there 4 a couple of seasons and enjoyed it. Just 2 far away from pitch to influence game you get drowned out by away fans. I sat bridgford lower year Trent end was being built it was quality. {Ed034's Note - thanks. I love the view up there. Much better than being lower part of a stand. When the away fans are singing we give our best but without others singing, we are often fighting a losing battle. I love the city ground and I get goose pimples when it is rocking

16.) 29 May 2013
The only problem with giving away support 2000 seats is that other clubs will only give our lot the same!

17.) 29 May 2013
If we only give the away fans 2000 tickets that will mean NO sold out city ground next season, which will be a bit of a shame. all for doing what's best for forest and fawaz is said to be happy to lose the revenue, I am pleased the upper bridgford is forest, but I am sceptical as to just how many forest fans would actually sit in the lower bridgford. big, exciting end of season games maybe. we should section it off for forest fans for sure and see if folks will sit there. {Ed034's Note - it is fawaz who has said one of the reasons for moving them would be to reduce the numbers they are given. He did that v Leicester and I thought it was a good idea

18.) 29 May 2013
Ed, I agree BUT that was leicester in a big, exciting end of season game, would you get that level of support at most home games?would forest fans be able to create a good level of atmosphere with small pockets of singers in 3 different stands. I like to see great away support (sorry)i believe it adds to the occasion. reducing any kind of support seems odd to me. even if it could benefit us. very interesting conversation though, and one that will rumble on. {Ed034's Note - reducing the away sports is bound to help us. The less numbers, the less support for the opposition team. 2,000 will still make noise and create an occasion, but will help us as well

19.) 29 May 2013
Ed you need to get off your high horse. It's a poo decision for forest. If you had the club at heart instead of selfish interests you would see what an advantage it is to away teams. It's like there playing at home at one end cause you can't hear anything but them. And b4 u say yes I go to every home game and a number of away games. we need to dominate the ground not give a whole end to away fans when they turn out as that's what it seems like from everyone else's seat including the players and manager. Eh but who cares as long as you can see alright. {Ed034's Note - the fact that forest asked for fans opinions and after hearing them have changed there mind, suggest it is you who is on the 'high horse' and it is you who are being selfish in wanting to more them anywhere, just for the sake if it, rather then moving them somewhere which will be a benefit for the club.
Clearly it is not a benefit in shifting 2,000 st holders and given the away fans both a very good view and also a good place for acoustics......but eh who cares just as long as you can see right

20.) 29 May 2013
Poor decision they should be moved but to the corner of the Brian Clough stand just like the old European days {Ed034's Note - it would be a poor decision to love them in upper bridgford but I am all for moving them, just in the right place

21.) 29 May 2013
Don't even get me started. I like Ed (I especially like his kitchens), but I just don't agree with him on this one. {Ed034's Note - come and buy one then lol
There's a difference with agreeing/disagreeing but listening to other people's views and one where I have a so called fan criticise me for my view, saying Im selfish and basically saying I don't care. That's wrong, idiotic and narrow minded.
We may not agree but I am sure you at least think about and consider my opinion, as i do yours.
The muppet who posted saying I am on my 'high horse' needs to do take in to account that the club have asked for opinions from everyone, for or against and after listening to them they realised they have made a mistake. They havnt come to this decision because a couple of fans are not happy, they have come to it because they have red the reasons, seen the amount not happy and agreed.
If we had to move, we would have done. I had already chose my seat for the move. So for this idiot come on and have a go at me because he haven't got what he wanted and say I don't care, is wrong and out of order

22.) 29 May 2013
Ed as I said what benefit is it to forest u stopping up there being out sung and shouted. U might get some bizarre feeling of fulfilment. Because the away fans do when they make so much noise. I look forward to seeing the away players gathering in front of there masses and celebrating a goal or asking support whilst u admire the view. {Ed034's Note - then if you are looking forward to that, we are both happy then, so stop moaning

23.) 29 May 2013
Ps. Ed acoustics aren't that good as the rest of the ground can't hear u because of the away fans. {Ed034's Note - ps if you sang as well a you moaned, we would out sing every away team. Anyway you're boring me so sweet dreams

24.) 29 May 2013
Ed, don't listen to the people as their moronic views are pointless. as an upper bridgeford season ticket holder like many others I enjoy sitting on my high horse up there. yes I agree the away fans should be moved, in my opinion I would suggest upper bc towards bridgeford end if feasible

25.) 30 May 2013
I think most people expected the away fans to be sited in the lower Brian Clough stand in the section closest to the Bridgeford end that is rarely ever used. I know there are issues with segregating fans and exits but fencing off a section for them would mean more tickets on sale overall without the need to cover over a thousand seats in a supposedly sold out ground.

26.) 30 May 2013
Excellent thread shows this is a contentious issue and you have to credit the club with their communication with the fans. I think reducing the number of away tickets will reduce the average attendance as when some of the bigger teams attend they bring a good few with them, though we get a lot attend these matches too. let's see what happens when Yeovil attend. The other thing to bear in mind is don't blame Forest for the lack of atmosphere when you don't sing up, the fans are responsible for that too.

27.) 30 May 2013
Cannot understand why anyone who supports this football club would want to split a stand up that actually sings. Maybe we should sit the away fans in the upper Trent I'm sure I heard a pin drop the last time I sat there!
krazy_krok

28.) 30 May 2013
I can't believe that people are saying 2,000 fans are out singing us? I'm at Uni so don't get the chance to go to as many home games anymore. But being out sung at home by 2,000 fans? That surely can't be right? Haha {Ed034's Note - away fans are always loud as it is them who tend to be the noisy section at home. At the start of every game against team that bring a good amount the amount of singing from both sets of fans is very similar. it tends to be down to whoever gets on top first by scoring the first goal, that decides who is the loudest. This is no different at any other club

29.) 30 May 2013
Typical forest fans, always complaining about something.

people up in arms about this are far more concerned with their own convenience than they are with creating a better atmosphere and a better home advantage.

if away fans are moved it will affect somebody's season tickets, but as long as it's some fans you consider less important than yourselves then that's fine eh? {Ed034's Note - you are wrong. the section being asked to move in jp corner are the noisiest in the ground and it is them who create the current atmosphere. how does it make sense to split that section up and how would this create a better atmosphere???
if they were moved into the corners of bc, they are usually empty and there for would not mean any fans are moving.
for your knowledge fans got offered the chance to give there views on moving away fans to jp corner and upper bridge, not just fans up there but everyone and after reading and listening to all fans views, the cub have decided that it isn't the best place for away fans to be moved to. the fans being asked to move were willing to move and a lot had already chosen there seat (as I had already done). it is the club who have decided, after listening to all fans views, that it is not the best place for them to go.
if you do not like it, tuff, but do not blame the fans against the move for giving there views, blame the fans who were for it for not.

30.) 30 May 2013
They aren't the noisiest fans in the ground at all ed,

the only consistent noise comes from the main stand A & B blocks. {Ed034's Note - funny you say that as jp corner say they cant hear a/b blocks.
rather than moaning at fans that help to create an atmosphere, moan at those that don't.
