We understand Dutch striker Lars Veldwijk has arrived in England for talks with Nottingham Forest as they hope to clinch a double deal for the Excelsior hit-man and Matty Fryatt.

Just watched clips of our dutch friend and he certainly looks like he knows where the goal is and can hold the ball up. Please let this be true. Although some of the defending was mickey mouse I know.

Just read on Sport Witess site a very confident report stating Lars Veldwijk is at the City Ground undergoing a medical and, amazingly for me, it's staing we're only paying 0.5m for him. 30 goals in 38 games and only 500,000? That's got to be a great deal in anyones books! Well done SP!

500k is peanuts in today's modern game just hope he does the business. He looks the part and would scare centre halves to death. Hopefully with Fryatt along side and Dex Coxy and Hendo as back up that has got to be a strike force capable of getting 65 goals between them in a season.

As the missus says with reference Van Weldrijk eye candy for all the female fans!
