DF's team selection was spot on GIVEN THE OPPOSITION and availability!

Had he played our dwarfs in midfield we would have been blown away by the aerial threat and power posed by their midfield.

SW do not play with wingers but cross the ball in deep to find Nuhiu and runners from midfield so he plays with 3 centre backs to counter this which worked well even though Mills makes Greg Halford look world class at full back! Chris Burke had to play to stop Mills getting exposed on the flanks. Pinillos locked up the left hand side.

Walker would have been muscled out of the game up front so Dex + Oli had to play given the size of their 2 centre backs and holding midfielders.

Forest closed SW down well and defended well on the 18 yard line. Ward should have scored just before half -time and it would have been a different game but for Emtimov's howler to then use Osborn and Williams when SW were chasing the game.

We have a pretty average manager coaching a pretty average team given all the injuries but this is one performance DF should not be hung out to dry on. The team are playing for him, were committed but made 2 mistakes that cost us the game.

This was not a game to blood one of the young centre backs given Nuhiu is the Championship Andy Carroll but going forward Mills should not be anywhere near the first team as he cannot pass water!

So what you saying is the tactics could of been better if douggie is training staff and all eleven players stood on our goaline.

Most championship cb's are big muscly lads so when do you play walker? only when the opposition have someone less than 6ft at cb. cb's hate coming up against pace and through balls. a lad with pace and a lad with creativity were on the bench. cb'a thrive on long balls punted up to the strikers as they head them away 90% of the time and they also tribe on knowing that the two strikers there up against won't be able to turn them and run away with the ball. they will also of been happy that all they had to do was contain two strikers who can't score and the opposition midfield not backing them up. yesterday was food and drink for them probably the easiest game they will have this season and that's down to df.

Plenty of smaller skilful players in Premier and European teams do well.

This is the problem with DF tactics he plays our team to counter theirs! We should play to our strengths.

If we have pace up front then use the pace.

If we continually set the team up because we are worried of the opposition then we are playing for draws or lucky wins.

Whatever happened to making the opposition worry about us?

This is not fantasy football!

DF played to his strengths with the players he had available.

Sheff Wed were a much more physical side playing at home.

We have not had a settled side through injuries to go gung ho at the opposition.

I guess you all would have been happy if we had lost 4-0?

If Emtimov is going to be a top keeper he needs to learn to take the knocks. DF just told it how it was. Hobbs told him to forget it after the goal, he is older than Darlow was being put in so he needs to grow some!

At present we are a mid table team so get used to it and stop moaning!
