Guediora gone. No news on the fee yet.

1.) 15 Aug 2019 14:31:17
The way we have done business recently, we have probably paid him to go.

2.) 15 Aug 2019 17:42:55
Presume he got better wages offer after AFCON. Doubt whether we got a fee though.

3.) 16 Aug 2019 07:07:03
Good ridence waste of time coming back. Money grabber over rated past his best.

4.) 16 Aug 2019 09:06:42
Can you point out any footballer who isn't into it for the money?

It's funny as he speaks really highly of you Real:)

5.) 19 Aug 2019 07:38:02
Of course they all play for money but some it's the only driving force.
Club statement says it all I think just confirms he has gone not wish him all the best etc.

6.) 20 Aug 2019 13:01:16
Last time Geddy was a first team regular we were genuine play-off contenders. It is easy to forget these things.

7.) 20 Aug 2019 13:01:57
And we did get a fee.

8.) 20 Aug 2019 16:34:08
That was then he was a far better player then this time just didn't do it so best he has gone far better in and hungry to impress rather than living off 10 years ago.

9.) 20 Aug 2019 17:00:58
I agree he didn't look the player he was but with the proviso that he didn't really get a good run in the team. We have had several midfielders on our books who haven't really had a run (Bridcutt? ) . I put that down to poor recruitment planning and panic buying in a stupid attempt to get out of the division quickly rather than building a team.

Turkish club interested in Benalouane. I'd let him go.

bsered

1.) 10 Aug 2019 13:23:20
I'd loan out most of the dross we've got playing against Leeds still no movement of the ball can't pass for toffee grabban still not had a decent ball put into him dawson banging 40 yard balls to nobody, we've go 40 players on our books surely we can find 11 that can play football.

2.) 10 Aug 2019 13:34:22
Dan what do you expect from these players with all the constant changes it's the second game of the season away at a Leeds side who have been together a lot longer and its 0-0 I will take that all day long at 90 minutes not many teams will go there this season and create much.

3.) 10 Aug 2019 13:56:47
All ways same excuse not had time they've had a full pre season, What's the excuse for not being able to pass 10 yards or hitting the ball 50 yards to nobody, last week Brom had 5 new players in they made us look crap, in 10 games time will it still be they've not had enough time together.

4.) 10 Aug 2019 14:28:20
Yes and what did they spend on those players you can't even compare it lol.

5.) 10 Aug 2019 15:12:28
I actually thought there was quite a few positives. Leeds targeted Cash, cause you know you totally would, he's not a full back. Now we got Jenkinson for the next game. Semedo looks all of the projected 25mil. Ameobi made an impact and silva looks tight. Sorry Ben Watson but he won't be in a squad pushing for promotion.

6.) 10 Aug 2019 16:59:59
Positives for today?

1. Hopefully that will be Cash's last game as a defender.

2. Ameobi looks like he can be a class player for us and showed some good skill.

3. Samedo looks really good, and an exciting player.

4. Muric will hopefully be more confident for the game.

5. Sow looks decent.

6. Defence was solid.

Some not so good bits:

1. Not being anywhere creative enough.

2. Grabban looks elsewhere.

3. Lolley looks out of sorts today and first game.

4. Watson is crudd.

5. Passing was atrocious for most part.

Onwards and upwards.

7.) 10 Aug 2019 19:30:15
Spot on Chimaera71.

8.) 10 Aug 2019 20:59:30
Defo not spot on. cash was quality today and I wouldn’t change him, don’t change a player that’s played well.
Grabban looks elsewhere? he was pushed pulled and prodded all game. he was getting no service whatsoever and dropped deep to get a touch of the ball and ran with it and used the ball well when he did settting us on some attacks. if you don’t appreciate that then you will never be happy.

9.) 10 Aug 2019 22:19:47
Jonjo are you sure your a forest fan?
25 mill? Only joking mate he's a good player but not that good.

10.) 12 Aug 2019 16:30:44
No maybe not that good but have been impressed so far. Be a shame to give him back.

08 Aug 2019 17:39:08
Chema Rodriguez in. We now have 8 centre backs. That should stop people scoring lol.

I went to see forest V Brentford. Here's my take on the game: best and most solid performance I've see in the team since the days of Billy Davies.
The first half was a game of cat and mouse as it nearly always is, though in neither half did the Bees ever look really threatening.

Forest looked like a team with a strong team spirit, constantly working for each other. Passing, tackling, and positional play were all spot on.
Like many around me I was bemused by both Calvalho and Silva being together in the team. In truth I never saw Carvalho do much at all. He stood out on the left wing not often involved, and he nutmegged one defender, end of. He might have well as not been there at all.

As for Silva, Carvalho let him take all the dead ball set pieces and none of them worked, corners included. Silva ran about a bit and incurred a few fouls, but it was only when Lolley took the corner we got the goal. for my money neither Carvalho or Silva are going to be creative geniuses. Most of us puzzled by this selection thought Bostock should have been on the pitch all along, because he has some good passes in him, and he would have been the ideal replacement when Sow was injured.

As for the players: I thought Watson Worrall and Cash were especially good, and it must be a dream to play in front of a a goalkeeper who is so cool as well as a cool guy - he encourages confidence in everything he does, and his distribution was excellent.

Praise also deserves to go to Chema who was very cooly impressive, Sow, who is someone who gives everything and puts his whole self into blocks and tackles - hopefully if he is injured then Bostock or Yates can take over from him for a while, and Ribeiro, always in the right position and very capable of starting attacks. Grabban was good at pushing defenders at every opportunity, but was out of luck today.

The last 14 minutes had some tension but Brentford never looked like penetrating what was effectively a back eight defensive machine.
We'll have easier and harder games than this ,but I think most teams in this league will not look forward to playing us. A good win and a very thorough, well organised and effective performance.

1.) 06 Oct 2019 17:26:47
I don’t agree Carvalho and silva did nothing at all their first time passes and spreading of the play which may not always result in something does however take off lots of pressure, especially by carrying the ball up the pitch and winning fouls. Lolley looked poor and not for lack of effort, he just isn’t being a major influence that we saw last season. Agree with the stand out players like Chema worrall and Watson though.

2.) 06 Oct 2019 17:37:47
So we beat them with 9 players 👌🏼😂.

3.) 06 Oct 2019 17:57:44
Carvs didn’t have a great game on the wing. Silva was quality though. Especially in the second half. His delivery is the best in the squad from set pieces. His free kick nearly went in. Lolleys corner hit the first man and was a mistake by the Brentford player.

4.) 06 Oct 2019 18:38:08
Carvalho was by far our most ineffective player on the pitch but he does seem to be playing out of position at the moment,

Whilst he isn’t worth 13 million at the minute I do think he offers us something at home on most occasions . He offers zero away from home and his worst games have been away from home no doubt . He had some really tough afternoons last season. At home though I think he’s worth his place generally.

Carvalho represents a good example of how strange football fans can be, some of our fans consistently clamour for him and afford him status previously reserved for greats like Pearce or Collymore . There are guys on the pitch who out shine him every week who don’t attract half the attention. It’s a strange one for sure, as yesterday seemed to show we go well even when he’s a passenger . Some truly outstanding performances yesterday from players who have formed a really good team.

Good times right at the minute for sure.

5.) 06 Oct 2019 18:41:15
Bsred to be honest the forward players have not really found any consistency in form so far, its not the time to criticise as most of the attacking players are off form and we are joint top of the league
Just imagine how good we will be when they hit form?
We are going up my friend so just enjoy it.

6.) 06 Oct 2019 19:28:14
To me Silva never achieved anything he tried and someone else could have done it better. He gives a lot of effort but with no results, to me he just doesn't have it.

7.) 06 Oct 2019 19:32:29
As for the comment about Lolley here I think that's wrong. By far he looked a very dangerous player for us. He also completely supported his full back Cash and they worked really well together. I remind you that at the end of the match he ran the whole length of the pitch into Brentford's area, and then sprinted right back to his own area to help make a tackle, and the crowd gave him a standing ovation for it. The guy works his socks off for the team, to me that's enough.

8.) 06 Oct 2019 20:05:26
Bsered no one will ever fault lolleys commitment he does that every game he's just starting to fire now and when he does he's awesome.
It's a team effort under Lamouchi and he is calling it right.
Normally brentford play us ragged but he's changed personall to beat them.
What you have to look at is the big picture we are making giant strides and look unbeatable, so just enjoy what's happening and no point in looking for a negative out of what is a very positive start to the season.

9.) 06 Oct 2019 20:11:04
You say someone else? Like who?
Bostock?
Have you actually seen him play?
I've seen him once in league cup, he looks ok but nothing more.
Just trust the coach cus Lamouchi gets it right 98% of the time. 🤔🤔🤔.

10.) 06 Oct 2019 20:28:52
totally agree bsered Lolley was outstanding with his work rate, Matty Cash wouldn't have the freedom without his permanently tracking back, how thr EP Clapometer can give JC around the same rating as Lolley is beyond me.

11.) 06 Oct 2019 20:52:10
Why pick fault with anything?

12.) 06 Oct 2019 21:07:07
No team can be where we are now if they were carrying passengers, nine men can't achieve top two, and neither can ten
Stop picking on any individual this is a team effort from a manager that knows how to get the best out of his squad and he's not doing too badly from the looks of it?
What's the point in going to a game and watching us win it then picking on individual players?
We won it was a great team effort and every player gave their all.

13.) 06 Oct 2019 21:13:18
There are certain fans who need to pick fault. It’s the only thing that makes them happy. They enjoy moaning. That’s why they post more frequently when we lose and would prefer us to be near the bottom.

14.) 06 Oct 2019 21:31:28
It's an opinion redtree but can't see where they are coming from?
Must just want perfection?
To say we have a new coach whose had little Time to evaluate and work with the squad, ie, eleven games, gets us to the top if the league and is on an unbeaten run of ten games, but are still not happy would suggest they will never be happy?
Sick of fans saying carvalho cost 13 million? Its was over a five year period not up front we got that for burke and assombalonga plus 8 for appiah, its just figures get over it accept where we are and enjoy and get behind this French revolution.
It's that simple.

15.) 06 Oct 2019 21:37:27
Damn straight, great team performance and so much to be happy about.

16.) 06 Oct 2019 21:57:52
Its bizarre to be honest. First time in a long time we’ve got a team who it’s a joy to support. This is the time they need they need our support the most. Just look at Watson I thought he was finished after last season. Now he’s early contender for player of the season. Carvs will have good games and bad games like all our players. It’s our job to support him. People on here take joy in criticising him. They need to accept the manager rates Carvs and at points this season he is going to win us games. So support him! 🥊.

17.) 06 Oct 2019 22:21:11
Carvalho cost 13 million 🤮🤮.

18.) 06 Oct 2019 22:27:19
I'm not to worried about carvalho the team seem to be able to carry him 😁.

19.) 06 Oct 2019 22:30:24
SL is doing a great job selecting the right midfield blend for each game depending on the opposition. Trust the boss and enjoy being in the mix.

20.) 06 Oct 2019 23:22:35
The whole team are working their socks off for the team. I watched JC especially this match due to the moaning about him and to be honest he is a genuine grafter that keeps to the formation and works so hard chasing players down . He has the confidence to try his bits of skill but they don't always come off but hats off to him in that he tries the flair bits, the crowd love it when it comes off. that's entertainment.

There is more responsibility to his game than attacking play. Why people keep going on about his price is beyond me. We paid it and that's now history. Get over it. There is no return clause so accept him as a Forest player that has helped us to second place.

21.) 07 Oct 2019 00:19:36
It's a funny old game I'm sure if someone offered 15 million for carvalho and we took it fans would be saying good riddance because we're stuck with him he's doing great lol just my opinion 😁.

22.) 07 Oct 2019 09:26:55
When we play crap people winge when we play well people winge, we are a championsh team who ain't won nowt in years, this is probably best start to a season in years first time in a long time the team are playing for each other as well as the manager so for me I'm seeing the glass as half full, as for carvalho costing 13 million he's a 22 year old kid they brought him for his potential give home time, one player who I really think we've missed is semedo, the only problem I have with how things are going this season is the lack of shots.

23.) 07 Oct 2019 10:33:49
Dan you say the lack of shot for team is your only problem, west brom have only scored five more than us and four of those were in the last game. We are only one goal behind them on goal difference, so why the problem.

04 Oct 2019 14:18:45
Semedo is not yet fit and neither is Yates. We look light in midfield this week. We need Sow to blot out Watkins tomorrow.

bsered

1.) 04 Oct 2019 16:44:58
Bostock would manage that. God's knows why he hasn't appeared in a league game yet even if it was of the bench.

2.) 04 Oct 2019 19:56:02
I'd like to see Bostock given a run out. Not sure if he's fully match fit .

3.) 05 Oct 2019 12:56:28
He was on the bench in the last game.

02 Oct 2019 09:55:43
I'm going to see them play Brentford on Saturday so will report back after that. Still not sure why Ribeiro given a left wing position V Blackburn, as he didn't seem to know what to do at all. Figgy was ok but Chema has a better pass in him.

bsered

1.) 02 Oct 2019 10:37:48
When Chema came on for Dawson i do not remember him making a single tackle.

2.) 02 Oct 2019 12:20:15
Blackburn set up 4-4-2 trying to attack down the flanks. Ribeiro was there to provide cover out wide to counter Gallagher and Downing overloading. Job done but our offensive play broke down with poor passing.

Figs was the right call over Chema defending against Graham who is always a thorn in our side.

Lamouchi set the team up correctly but execution of passing was poor and defending too deep at the end which was down to the players!

01 Oct 2019 09:48:33
Today's weather looks pretty bad, will the match be rained off?

bsered

1.) 01 Oct 2019 10:04:36
Hopefully not mate. I see Lamouchi was saying that "No game is easy. everyone wants to beat us whether it's a Saturday, Tuesday, or a Wednesday"
"Or wherever we are in the league"
Think he's learning this league very quickly. Long may it continue. Uuuu Redddds!

2.) 01 Oct 2019 10:42:48
hope whoever steps in for Daws is up to the task, the last time he got injured in 2018 we only won 1 of the next 9 matches from being play off contenders to mid table mediocrity, the next 2 matches will be tough but would be nice not to get beaten before the international break I'd settle for a win and a draw.

3.) 01 Oct 2019 10:48:02
Only southern softies would refuse to play.

4.) 01 Oct 2019 13:22:17
Let's hope it's "Raining". GOALS Bsered!

5.) 01 Oct 2019 13:39:08
That would make us a Rain Forest Rogie.

6.) 01 Oct 2019 17:25:09
That's "Tree"mendous!

7.) 01 Oct 2019 18:35:43
Teams will want to beat us but they know they will have to score at least one to get a draw which puts them on the back foot before they start.

28 Sep 2019 10:44:03
So here's The Thing: Dawson is out for two games at least, so we miss our Captain organiser and Main Centre-back. Who do we play there? Milso seems out of favour, Figgy hasn't exactly cut it in the games he has played in and Sabri seems to favour Chema. Benaloune is out of the equation. This is a real problem, any thoughts?

bsered

1.) 28 Sep 2019 11:10:20
Think it will be Chema.

2.) 28 Sep 2019 11:59:56
Prob the player who cane on for him last night 🙄.

3.) 28 Sep 2019 15:04:29
Bobby McKinley. 😂.

4.) 28 Sep 2019 15:24:30
Stokes 2nd goal displays all you need to know about life without Dawson. Keeper got himself into no mans land and the cross, though brilliant was not attacked. Teams will exploit this time and again.

5.) 28 Sep 2019 17:15:06
Dawson’s loss is a big one . This happened last time and the wheels came off. I trust the manager to make the right decision as to who replaces him. He and Watson have been the bedrock of the defence. Blackburn away - a bogie team for us, then Brentford. 4 points and I would be happy and no defence breaches!

6.) 28 Sep 2019 20:56:27
Think we're fine rutland three more points on Tuesday at struggling Blackburn.

7.) 28 Sep 2019 22:28:27
79 i hope so. Dawson has been our john terry. Organises and gets across and infront of the goal threat on crosses. We do not have another like him. He has been so consistant and raises the game of those around him.

He scored yesterday for the U23s. My guess is he would be an alternative to Silva and Carvalho. He's on a free and only 21 years old and I'd trust Sabri - if he's any good let's get him.
