Let me take you back to before a ball was kicked this season. keane left mysteriously. I suspect it was to do with attitude and dof power. O'neil gets the sack, no way to treat a forest legend and thoroughly decent bloke. Player power was cited and senior pro's were unhappy with the running and lack of ball work. Run of the mill pre season under cloughie.

Well maybe that lack of fitness cost us in the closing stages of matches.
O'neil signed Ameobi and had lined up some good tough championship players. SL had been considered before O'neil and its obvious that he would toe the company line.
Well marinakis and co got what you deserved.

The treatment of Martin and the so called postponement of redevelopment is a reflection of a trigger happy impatient, maybe allegedly, less honest owner than we are led to believe. I shed no tears last night as that team and squad were just not good enough and along with a one trick pony coach. Karma is a funny old thing, Forest blew it spectacularly and I hope someone had a thought about O'neil?
I bet he had a chuckle though he still loves Forest.

With what had been happening in previous games prior to this one I should think the atmosphere in the dressing room was awful. Stomachs tight as a drum, nerves on edge and worse of all no confidence in each other. All that had been bought about by a manager to blinkered, to stubborn to acknowledge what was in front of him .
Remember Cloughy, he would take them out on the p---, get them settled anything to stop them thinking football . For me this is a mental thing and needed that approach . We know in some cup finals that players freeze and the occasion gets the better of them . As all the games since the season resumed were dire a somewhat different approach was needed. Mind you the football all season was negative, especially at home .

There must be a connection between the player power sacking of martin and the performances after lockdown, a year on. No coincidences, that includes this 'virus'

Forestgirl i totally agree. Maybe Martin and Roy were not the right fit at this time but a ball had not been kicked and their last 3 results were wins. But i was so much more upset by Marins sacking than this lot capitulating so spectscularly. The fans have been treated shodily in my opinion by the dross bought and the football served up. We need reinventing and that might be Msrinakis moving on.
