According to john percy forest have lost appeal regarding Grosiki.

rutland red 7

1.) 29 Oct 2020 12:11:43
Not fussed he didn’t want to join us in the first place, would prefer us to go for Ronan Curtis fromPortsmouth in January a lot better long term prospect.

2.) 29 Oct 2020 14:10:44
Why would he sign if he didn't want to. That is complete nonsense.

I'm glad he hasn't signed as he would be blocking younger players progressing into the first team.

3.) 29 Oct 2020 17:44:48
Ref he could of come here long before but said he was not interested, and then went to West Brom only when he found out that he wasnt in WBA plans did he then consider a deal with us, wether he was haggling for more money or not we won’t find out but I think there are better options out there. Mighten is not quite ready and needs to be loaned out for regular games like Johnson.

25 Oct 2020 12:50:09
Looks like Grabban, after holding talks with the club, is staying at Forest. He is probably carrying an injury hence his dismal form and endeavour. Think he plays injured most days.

rutland red 7

1.) 25 Oct 2020 14:43:13
If you are right about his injury then that shows he should have been dropped a while back.

2.) 25 Oct 2020 16:04:08
I’m hoping with Knockaerts addition Grabbon will come good as will Taylor.

3.) 26 Oct 2020 09:05:33
So Grabban has a hip injury that's why he's been rubbish but how long as he had this injury he has only scored in two games in open play with no assists out of his last 25 games going back to the end of January, In the same period our out of form winger Joe Lolley as scored in four games and assisted in four games, its a stat that shows just how poor Grabban has been for months.

4.) 26 Oct 2020 09:25:44
Sorry Grabban has one assist.

5.) 26 Oct 2020 16:31:01
Shows how short we have been upfront that Grabban started despite his lack of form. And if he has been injured then it is pretty desperate. I hope we can get Grosicki over the line but we may still struggle for goals.

6.) 26 Oct 2020 17:03:50
Why was Walker, then Taylor not given a chance, not so much being short more unwilling to give others a chance to shine.

7.) 29 Oct 2020 10:24:25
Hip injury? Someone with a wooden leg could have scored that sitter the other week! Lol.

Had to start a new lost with this so ff79 can understand why its not fair to be so judgemental about Chris Hughton. I will try to be brief.
Lamouchi gets a turgid but semi successfull tune out of the squad last season but his luck or directive ran out the last 7 or 8 games. Sl blamed the players in his meeting in greece with marinakis. The squad gets 14 additions of mainly average and unknowns and a few are sold or returned to sender. Chaos is in full flow as season cup game starts with listless defeat to Barnsley. We then go on to lose the first 4 games of the new season without scoring a goal. Out with SL in with Hughton. The team and squad in dissaray and confidence lower than a snakes belly but somehow hughton lifts the doom against a desperate backdrop and we get moving. It wasnt pretty but a corner was turned. Ff79 you know the squad is too big to manage and largely its makeshift at best. We have a blip as injuries take their toll and slide again. But we get back up and go seven unbeaten. Its still not pretty, turgid i would say. But from what CH inherited and the team morale i think he has done very well. This with ppl, can hardly call them players, that he did not chose but has moulded into a form of a team is comendable. Your right marinakis and his partners in crime are the problem but give hughton his due, he is not bowing to pressure to bring in any old has been, he is identifying players he feels, from what is currently available, that will enhance the team in a more creative vein. You cannot fault him for that?

rutland red 7

1.) 27 Jan 2021 08:18:43
That might be your version of events rutland.
Mine is Vrentzos ripped into the players not Lamouchi after the derby game.

2.) 27 Jan 2021 10:10:21
FF79 why do you make your posts sound like you know what's going on behind the scenes as facts when in reality your posts are guess work at best to fit your agenda.
By all means post your opinions but don't make out your in the know.

3.) 27 Jan 2021 10:22:47
Whats my agenda then trentender?

4.) 27 Jan 2021 11:00:07
79 my version of events? That is what happened from the outside, a fans perspective and a brief summary of events. You can't show your ire for the owner and venrtroz and dof and then say the manager is at fault. SL had 18 months let's give hughton at least a year. I actually think the owner is giving hughton the reignsfor once. Many on here were glad with treatmentvof oneil but you I and many more were appalled.

5.) 27 Jan 2021 11:08:40
We will have to agree to disagree mate when it comes to hughton.
The quicker he goes the better as far as i'm concerned.
The tugid football will continue that's his style don't want to see it anymore.

6.) 27 Jan 2021 12:24:30
Your agenda being to have a pop at the owner at every opportunity and the manager, implying he is just a puppet for the owner and has no say in tactics or player selection/ recruitment.

7.) 27 Jan 2021 12:47:25
Thats because that's what is happening and has been since the dof was appointed with karanka spitting his dummy out over it.
If you want to believe otherwise then that's your choice.

8.) 27 Jan 2021 12:54:39
Trent how do you know the fat greek doesn't have a say with tactics etc?
How can multiple managers under the Marinakis regime get it wrong?
FF is bang on the nose about Forest.
The Fat Greek runs a dictatorship at Forest.
You do as he says or walk.
The onwer like his cronies are toxic.

26 Jan 2021 12:55:59
Lets be a bit more gracious to Chris Hughton. Has he inherited a load of shoite? You bettya. Has got character in that side? Little.
Has he tried various formations? Injury plagued?
So CH has tried to add attacking drive to the team with the likes of knockaert and krovinovic. He tried to get Grosiki and I belive he will get one or two befirevthe window closes. His choices and not the dreadful dof.
Hughton is not the perfect manager but he realises the limitations and weaknesess in this squad. I read a post earlier saying we have 19 players that we would be better off without. I also read and agree about the scouting at peterborough and brentford. These are not chris hughtons faults and given his choices and experience we will be a force next season. He is trying so hard, give him our support its the least he deserves.

1.) 26 Jan 2021 14:30:04
RR some good points here. Immediate success does not come overnight . There are so many examples but the recent two are Man U who persevered - when most of us would not, and Chelsea where they should have persevered and I think most of us would have . My point is CH will get us out of trouble and next season who knows . We do have youth with potential talents but all are best left where they are, playing every week, not being under the pressure of a relegation battle in the offing . Mighten I would offer to Lincoln and Swann . Let Lincoln be a grounding for young players and even our next manager!

2.) 26 Jan 2021 14:34:34
I agree that it’s hard for him considering very few players are actually his or players that fit his style/ system.
That being said he should be able to adapt his system to the players available.
He’s done an okay job and while I’d happily keep him for another season after this (once he’s signed more of his players) but I also wouldn’t mind if he was asked and somebody else is brought in.
We won’t get relegated this season so no need to be doom and gloom about that. I just think we have the wrong players at the club for CH. so let him sign 4/ 5 of his players and see how we do.
Obviously if his signings don’t work out then get rid.
I’d stick with CH for now.

3.) 26 Jan 2021 14:49:13
We can't keep signing players its not feesable.

4.) 26 Jan 2021 15:31:37
I agree to an extent with you Nottingham, but I don’t have the same level of faith that you do that we will avoid relegation. I think it is in the balance at the moment. I have seen a number of relegation seasons over the years and this has the feel of another. After 7 games unbeaten we should have been full of confidence against Boro and they rolled us over from minute one. Confidence didn’t really come into it. What we lacked was drive, determination, fight and passion. This was shown again against Swansea. We were full of players who should have desperately wanted to earn a place in the first XI but they were lacklustre and flat.

While hoping for the best I am not convinced that we are showing enough fight and determination to keep out of trouble.

5.) 26 Jan 2021 16:41:37
Redinleicester that's the point. I said something similar the other day. From back to front we have moody plsyers. Indisciplined and their heads appear somewhere else. I believe hughton is trying so hard to galvsnise a team. But this lot are hardly playing for each other let alone the shirt or the manager. I believe worral should have the arm band and grabban needs benched for a while until he embraces team spirit.

6.) 26 Jan 2021 16:55:41
I agree with ff79. i'm confident enough for this squad to take us to the summer without relegation. And bringing in new signings would not be feasible. But as the summer approaches please don't let a manager take signings then sack him. as so often happens.

7.) 26 Jan 2021 17:55:13
Its foolhardy to think that any signings will be hughtons.
The club haven't just stopped their recruitment policy.
We simply can't afford to bring in anymore players other than the odd loan, but this is forest we are talking about so wouldn't suprise me to see 5 or six on the last day.
Fans forget we signed de costa last jan at 1.5 million only to descard him too.
Weve wasted so many millions with keep bringing in players every window and without selling a player or two it cannot continue otherwise ffp will become a reality.

8.) 26 Jan 2021 18:17:07
Fight and passion is something that has been missing for getting on to a year now. I think there is definitely stuff going on behind the scenes causing the lack of team spirit and passion. That being said I would have thought some more togetherness would have been yielded since CH took over. Evidently not.
But when we have such a big squad there are going to be sour apples which is passed on to everyone else.

Get rid of all the players that aren’t needed/ don’t play and get a more tight knit group of players (22, 2 for each position) and hopefully there’ll be a bit more positivity.
We all know that won’t happen. Let’s just hope CH can get some decent results and push up the table a little bit more.

9.) 26 Jan 2021 18:43:46
The CG is an agent’s paradise, pockets have been lined again and again , thought the owner was a tough business man who didn’t take too kindly to being crossed ,to use an old Nottm. word he,s been diddled !

10.) 26 Jan 2021 19:07:42
22 player tight squad was what Lamouchi wanted but they didn't listen.
Its the answer but they will never listen i'm afraid.

11.) 26 Jan 2021 21:14:35
It might be as simple as writing L and R inside each players boots.

12.) 26 Jan 2021 21:38:21
CH has let 3 go so expect 3 in. If ch is still here next season he will rip this squad in two.

13.) 26 Jan 2021 22:13:10
He or nobody else can rip this squad apart.
They are on very good contracts so will be here to stay as no one will pay their wages as was proven with clough heffle beneloun once signed they can't be moved on age and wages dictate that.

24 Jan 2021 13:35:28
From the 3-1 millwall win where their were many positve performances we have suffered 2 defeats one in the league against boro where we went from hero's to zero in one shocking short passage of time. I won't pass comment on yesterdays game as that was just farsical.
We are playing football in a false envirionment and it is all very weird at the moment. Lots are really starting to doubt Chris Hughton maybe rightly so. Like we all know something big behind the scenes is not right and karanka oneil and keano were conned.
Something more worrying is that the players just look very unhappy, Yates is the only one to smile, ever.
Either through being spoiled brats or being aware of chaos behind the scenes that gets worse the players are carrying a burden. Do they not buy into hughton and have given up? Is the squad size to big to be personal? Are the majority of the squad good enough? A big no from me, beyond any shadow of doubt, ability to one side, this lot are not focussed when on the pitch, evidenced by the calamtous early goals against, evidenced by 6 defenders one striker and we get slotted. I feel for hughton because he has tried every attacking formation, changed things during matches unlike SL. Their is a split in that dressing room and i think it is massive and extremely damaging. Adding more players, players that want to play for hughton seems the way we are about to go. Will they get poisoned, will they remain fit?
So is changing the manager going to work? We will only go for another vagrant like SL, so for me its stick with hughton, let him bring in a player or 2 he needs it right now.
I saw a look in his eyes yesterday post match which to me indicated he has had it with certain players and he is about to react in a way where enough is enough and i think he is about to cull the devisive disruptive poison and go out all guns blazing.

1.) 24 Jan 2021 13:58:45
Just heard the woman Co Commentator say during Chelsea's FA Cup match. "He'll be happy with the 3 points"

2.) 24 Jan 2021 22:57:06
Spot on rutland.

20 Jan 2021 21:54:17
From back to front that was shambolic. I would batter worral for walking away from asombalonga holding his hand up. When said striker hit the post he was the only boro player in the box against 7 forest defenders. Shameful. We were scattered all over the pitch with no understanding or tightness. We were bullied and pushed around, passed like we didn't care. We saw the lacklustre ameobi and the schoolboy yates. Cafu flatters to decieve and is nowhere when needed. Our keeper flaps at every cross and is small in comparrison. Boro hardly broke sweat but were in good positions all the time. Did they sit back at one nil or two nil? No they they knew we were there for the taking and their touch and control was enough to have us on the back foot time and again.
Some of the fault finally must fall at the feet of the manager. Bouyed from a 3-1 home win that team should have been bouncing. It was flat and bereft of desire. F#ckin cluess a layman might say.
Another false dawn befalls us. Riberio can do one for me that was a shocking display of petulance on top of a lacklustre performance.
Forgot to mention Sow, mr red card was at his desolate best tonight.
I think CH will resort defending what we start with. 0-0 one point.
That performance cut deep tonight and truthfully with the lack of any creativity do we stick with the status quo from dof to management style. Gutted.

rutland red 7

1.) 20 Jan 2021 22:35:49
Your missing the real point rutland.
These same players had no problem performing on saturday.
Ameobi was superb so now he's useless? .
If you want to pick out pkayers then today the whole back four were a shambleswith the two full backs the total pits.
Samba sow was a total joke but you pick on yates?
Ps you do say he was his usual self later.

Taylor and knockheart came on but did jack.
The manager decided to play same system with grabban in midfield.
Taylor was as poor as grabban .
Its a change 9f manager with a different style that's needed.
The only reason ameobi and mighten along with knockheart didn't play well was down to no service and two fullbacks having the biggest nightmares imaginable.
Ones out next game the other needs sending back to Fulham or the sheep can have him back useless.

2.) 21 Jan 2021 01:24:49
Hi I love reading everyones post as you all have good points to make my point is we've not had a decent team or coach since mad man Billy had his stint with us at least if we went one behind you could always see us scoring I don't understand why we can't do what every successful manager as fine at forest two upfront two decent wingers and a midfield that could pass the ball.

3.) 21 Jan 2021 02:39:01
It's a change of owner not manager that's needed.
The club like it's owner is rotten.
It's no coincidence every manager who takes the role at Forest is set for failure.

17 Jan 2021 17:35:02
So pleased for Chris Highton. The players gave him everything yesterday. that's all we ask when the chips are down. The players reflect the manager. CH has tried to keep a regular eleven for continuity. However how good was mckenna yesterday? He was a tower of strength and worral alongside fabulous. The fullbacks benefitted from these rocks at the back. I have always said mighten needs to adc composure to his game and he is growing into a very exciting player. I love lyle taylor, his strength and power is going to go a log way for us. Lots of other positives but we are starting to believe and not all the players are has beens but the has beens mainly were not on the pitch yesterday.

rutland red 7

1.) 17 Jan 2021 19:16:07
Agree on most of that rutland .
Christie hardly went forward which was obviously a tactic to stop wallace.
Not sure why you love taylor so much though?
What did he do that was exceptional?

2.) 17 Jan 2021 19:42:56
Ff79 well Taylor didn’t get much chance yesterday to be fair, but he took his chance last week, and at least looks interested, I think he’ll score goals, given better service,

3.) 17 Jan 2021 20:55:56
Stevie 😁😁😁😁.

4.) 17 Jan 2021 21:07:23
Being honest he tries hard but runs around like a rabbit in headlights.
When he came on he did nothing to worry their defenders and we conceded a goal.
Just saying.

5.) 17 Jan 2021 22:19:09
Except is wasn't a goal if the officials had better eyesight lol.

6.) 18 Jan 2021 09:10:58
Fff79 bit of a tenuous criticism of a striker ‘ we conceded a goal’ when he came on, if this was directly down to him I could understand your point, otherwise it looks like your desperately looking for a reason to back up your low opinion of him, lol.

7.) 18 Jan 2021 09:15:05
I honestly couldn’t believe that wasn’t chalked off, I could see one of the millwall players pulling samba down.

8.) 18 Jan 2021 09:31:41
lol, Taylor was responsible for us conceding a goal from a corner, come on:)

I honestly think he could be double figures by now if he had been receiving better service.

9.) 18 Jan 2021 10:48:27
Totally agree ginger.

10.) 18 Jan 2021 12:17:17
Taylor worked hard when he came on and gave us an outlet missing from Grabban. He stood his ground and did the simple things well. Grabban again twice tried the impossible when a simple cutback would probably brought us a goal when we desperately need it. I would certainly put taylor ahead of Grabban.

11.) 18 Jan 2021 13:05:13
If you want to look at one player that could be The reason we conceded is very easy Samba Sow was substituted I can understand CH bringing him off to keep him fit but he is the main reason why we have turned the corner.

12.) 18 Jan 2021 13:14:51
There was nothing wrong with millwalls goal.
Samba didn't get up fast enough.
We struggle when taylor plays he's bigger than grabban but spent more time on the floor than winning headers.
You can keep being impressed i'm not.

13.) 18 Jan 2021 13:40:40
Ff79 yep problem is You were unimpressed before he’d kicked a ball for us , and as I said before, you appear to be clutching at straws to make your opinion fit mate lol,

14.) 18 Jan 2021 13:52:44
At least Taylor doesn't duck out of the way of opposition corners 🤔.

15.) 18 Jan 2021 14:14:33
If he's so good why does hughton not play him?

16.) 18 Jan 2021 16:18:34
Ff79 he plays grabban because grabban is a better striker, but Tayor offers different things, I don’t think I’ve ever said Taylor is better, but at the moment, and from the backend of last season grabban hasn’t performed, and the fact remains in the 15games he’s actually started Taylor has scored 5goals in a side that has hardly been creating a chance,

17.) 18 Jan 2021 16:58:36
FF79 you’ve had a problem all season. You need to take a look at what you’re saying instead of being negative. Is this still about your season card?

18.) 18 Jan 2021 18:00:49
No mate I've given up with a refund never got any replies.
Will just carry it over to next season or the one after that depending when fans can return.

Why do i need to take a look at what i'm saying?
Is that because you like sitting on the fench?
Im not bothered what anyone thinks just put my opinion, nothing wrong with that, you can agree or disagree doesn't bother me.

19.) 18 Jan 2021 21:02:34
I’m just glad we’ve got 2 strikers who are both capable and offer different things up top. Keeps both on their toes and gives us options in games. Something we lacked last season and got lucky with Grabbans fitness. Must admit on seeing the Millwall goal I didn’t see much wrong. Keepers are well protected by refs in general and don’t put themselves about enough for me.

20.) 18 Jan 2021 21:50:11
Got to agreee perks.
Deffo nothing wrong with their goal.
Samba just play acting.
And yes we have two strikers of differing ways they play.
We now have a total gem in mighten who nneeds letting off the lease to terrorise the championship.
So let's do it.

Skegby you make very good points and i tend to agree but that's one side of the arguement. Personally i always liked Watson. An yes we miss a Silva creatively but he was wasteful at set pieces and rarely scored. Set in is ways SL was a massive problem and the Dof. I think with experience has come age and attitude. I think hughton is the right man and yes marinakis has backed the club. But has he used HIS money or the sale of our youth players to fund the madness. Look where we are? Has Roy Keane ever mentioned the truth in why he walked? Remember he took time to join Martin citing a family issue in Ireland. Keano i suspect smelled a rat and did the honourable thing. Martin, I think, decided to stay on and make marinakis pay for his conning and untruths. Remember despite the protestations about the boring football, under Oneil we won the last 3 games of the season, 3 on the bounce not acheived since.

No i have not forgotten but his second tenure was awful, no denying that. He was never king billy in my eyes and his early retirement says a lot about him. Having said all thst Damson yes we need a bit more passion around the place but let's hope that Hughton has the answers and drive to get us asca force agsin. Maybe not with these players though.

Red cyclist we have lost one in eight. Yes the boro game was a disgrace. We are in a relegation battle big time as teams around us have picked up crucial points. Now is the time to scrap for every point and with Filip in and one more potential striker we will be ok with hughton. I have confidence in his methods. Trying to find the balance.
Look at west brom. Stuffed again 0 - 5. They had an attack minded manager in Bilic but decided to swap for the more organised pragmatic big Sam. Enough said.

79 oneil was the right man for us end of hence i have little regard for marinakis.
As for the style of football. You try picking an attacking team from this paceless shower of mainly unfit has beens. Not even one of the 3 strikers have any pace. Lolley is washed up ameobi has a trick but runs like a roll of lino with legs. Arter? Did you see him try to run recently. Cafu? Flatters can't shoot can't pass can't run. I could go on. Mighten has pace and a few tricks but is young and learning his trade. We have bacharoo or who ever, fell over and is now looking to challenge or be loaned out. Its a sad outfit for sure, we have some other shockers like figs and christie, riberio who is a light weight headcase like sow another ticking time bomb not to be trusted.
You can criticise hughton, for without doubt he has made mistakes, mainly trusting players who really don't care for the shirt. But in reality could you pick a team from this squad that could press, pass and entertain and score? And stay fit?
Forget the youth on loan right or wrong they are out of the equation for this term. Like you i am tired of hearing CH post match its repetitive and who is learning. But i did say i noticed a change in his mannerism on saturday. I think the bomb squad is about to get bigger as for sure their will changes.
Ppl talk about eddie howe etc. that's fanciful i lived near burnley through his reign there, it wasn't pretty.
