Best of luck yo the Rep of Ireland in their play off tomorrow and hopefully their final next week. A World Cup with the Irish team and fans involved will be a better World Cup overall.

I would, I remember my first ever football shirt was England's 1982 World Cup one, gave it to my first girlfriend, she loved it.
Then the night NI beat Spain, we were in her room, her Dad bursts in, "One Nil!! Rogie!!!!.....errrm, bye!!!"
She was gorgeous, couldn't believe my luck, she resembled Steffi Graf, same birthdays as well...


10 months later it was over, heartbroken I was tbh.... I'll never forget the Summer of 82.
Music was brilliant too.
Our song was ABC's "The Look Of Love".
Great memories.

That's the trouble with the World Cup, too many micky mouse teams in the final section. It should be the best 16 teams in the world, putting on a show of top class entertainment. Realistically, who wants N.

Ireland v Jordan or Wales v Tunisia & that's if N. Ireland & Wales can scrape through. They've both failed once, so they invent some pointless play off scenario to try & shoehorn em back in.
