Anyone else seen the rumours linking Dyche with Spurs? That would be bizarre if he’s managing them when we go there.

Stevie f

1.) 09 Mar 2026 09:54:24
I don't think it's that bizarre Stevie. It looks like the Tudor dynasty at Spurs will be much shorter in length than the original, mate.
As for Dyche, any owner of a struggling team would be very foolish indeed not to employ the survival specialist par excellence... er.
Hang on. ???

2.) 09 Mar 2026 16:56:54
Tudor looks more like a magician than a coach!
As long as he doesn't sing that song of his, 'Swords of a Thousand Men', we should be ok!

3.) 09 Mar 2026 19:06:21
Norfolk. ?

4.) 09 Mar 2026 19:14:07
You wouldn't want to cross him. He's a giant and looks a hard lad.

5.) 09 Mar 2026 20:56:15
Stokey, he's an inch taller but 3 stone lighter than I am. At his age, he wouldn't have liked to have crossed me. ?

6.) 09 Mar 2026 22:49:50
Just in case I'm wrong on this one, Stevie, and you are in fact Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson in disguise, my advisers have told me to clarify that my remark was in jest, right? (Cue nervous laughter). ? ?

7.) 09 Mar 2026 23:37:40
Stokey, who? Is he a pantomime wrestler or something?. ?

8.) 09 Mar 2026 22:22:02
You must be a right fat bar steward then Stevie .?????

9.) 10 Mar 2026 06:44:13
Stokey, no one who has ever met me has ever described me as fat. ?

10.) 10 Mar 2026 10:22:45
Or, I'm thinking, lived to tell the tale...?

11.) 10 Mar 2026 11:04:23
There you go again, Stokey. ? I didn't spend time in the forces falling out with everyone who took the p***. Thought you, of all people, would realise that wouldn't have worked. ?

12.) 10 Mar 2026 12:03:26
Catering Corps was it, Stevie? ???

13.) 10 Mar 2026 15:23:47
Stokey, Royal Marine Commando, actually.

14.) 10 Mar 2026 18:19:13
Stokey, what were you, a traffic warden?

15.) 10 Mar 2026 19:45:18
Firstly, Stevie, if that's the case then total respect to you. You will get no more piss takes or jibes from me, ever.
I had a member of "The Green Death" on my shift at Central. Falklands veteran, great bloke, and a superb cop. Fit as a butcher's dog, he lived near Long Eaton and would cycle to and from there to Nottm City Centre every shift. He had loads of liberated Argentinian Army kit, water bottles, towels, belts, boots, etc. He passed all the tests for SBS except, crucially, orienteering. He couldn't read a map to save his life. The only bad thing I could say about him was that he was a Derby fan, but there you go, we all have a cross to bear, don't we?
Secondly, in answer to your question, I did all my 30 years' service in a front line operational role, uniform and CID, with stints on Vice and Drugs.

I reached the substantive rank of Sergeant, Patrol and Custody, but was lucky enough to do a few years as Acting Inspector and retire on an Inspector's pension.
I was never a traffic warden, but I did once put a parking ticket on a Rolls belonging to one of the Batchelors outside the Commodore. ???
I was in close protection and escort to the Polish Pope in Coventry in 1982, plus Cliff Richard, Princess Di, and, most pleasingly, Gary Davis, the DJ. ??

16.) 10 Mar 2026 20:17:30
Stokey, you have my undying gratitude for nicking The Batchelors. Always thought their act was criminal. ? I was only taking p**s, obviously, because of the Catering Corps jibe. ? I wasn't being disrespectful to your career, I thought you were aware of my past life many moons ago, and was winding me up.

17.) 10 Mar 2026 21:28:11
No, mate, I had no idea. I would never knowingly disrespect any former or current member of the armed forces. Just eternally grateful and in awe of what they go through on our behalf.

18.) 12 Mar 2026 23:01:25
C'mon Stokey - take the p*** out of the Royals as all the Squaddies do! I served alongside them in NI and 'elsewhere'. Without doubt, top quality soldiers who I really respected but a bit too much in touch with their 'feminine side' for my liking! Very 'touchy-feely' which I never felt comfortable with.

Wasn't it the Borat comedy sketch where he said Marines are just like the Army, but gay.

19.) 13 Mar 2026 13:11:24
I'll leave the p'ss taking to you Lego mate, as a fellow Brother in Arns! As a civvy, I don't feel I've earned the right.
I may have mentioned before that 7 of my 12-person shift I had the pleasure of supervising at Central were ex-military (Marine, Para, Forester, Submariner, RMP, Navy Radio Operator and Welsh Guardsman).

They all remorselessly took the mick out of each other. Some of it was quite near the knuckle, but I made a point of staying out of it...

20.) 13 Mar 2026 22:05:07
Just for a bit of fun Stokey - I'll put in a bit of ex-Int Corps banter about each of your seven:

Royal Marines - great soldiers with a superb sense of dry humour. Slightly gay with a tendency to dress in women's clothing at any opportunity.
Parachute Regiment - great soldiers yet with no sense of humour, which has been buried due to their own arrogance. Wilt into the background when you explain that you have done parachuting too and then beat them in a BFT run.
Foresters - who.cares? Always an also-ran Rgt.
Submariners - even more gay than the Royals. Always smell very strange after 6 months submerged on a nuke sub with the weird stuff they put into the Aircon system.
RMP - universally hated throughout the Army. Mostly failed civvy police recruits. Usually billeted with the Int Corps for their own protection.
Navy radio operator - more civvy than a civvy.
Welsh Guards - brilliant at drill but rubbish soldiers in the field. Mostly foul-mouthed morons from the Valleys who would otherwise be stealing off their Mums.

21.) 14 Mar 2026 08:30:39
Lego. ???

22.) 14 Mar 2026 09:23:09
Lego, I'm a bit older than you, mate, not the bootnecks I remember (honest. ?). I always said giving recruits 2 or 3 chances to pass bottom field at Lympstone would have an affect on quality. ? According to some on here I've no sense of humour, so maybe "Mr Angry" here should have been sporting a maroon lid instead of a green one.

? I should be shot for even thinking that. ? Anyway, mate, I'm used to 'craphat' jealousy over the years, I'll get over it. ? ?

23.) 14 Mar 2026 10:39:44
Lego and Stevie
You will both recall that I stopped my comments on Trump on here out of respect for Mrs Bowie, "the yank", who is herself both a veteran and DT supporter, so I’m being consistent at least.
I’ll leave you two to it for the reason I gave earlier, my friends.
I’m reminded of this bit of Wilfred Owens poem "Apologia Pro Poemate Meo" (An Apology for my Poetry)....

"I have made fellowships
Untold of happy lovers in old song.
For love is not the binding of fair lips
With the soft silk of eyes that look and long,

But Joy, whose ribbon slips__
But wound with wars hard wire
Whose stakes are strong;
Bound with the bandage of the arm that drips;
Knit in the welding of the rifle thong.

Nevertheless, except you share
With them in Hell the sorrowful dark of Hell,
Whose world is but the trembling of a flare,
And Heaven but as the highway for a shell,

You shall not hear their mirth;
You shall not come to think them well content
By any jest of mine.

These men are worth
Your tears; You are not worth their merriment".

Owen was a lieutenant in the Manchesters, killed by German artillery exactly a week before the Armistice whilst leading his platoon across a canal in France. His mother in his home town of Oswestry received the dreaded telegram on the same day as the bells were ringing out to celebrate Peace and Victory.
A gay man, he could have stayed in Craiglockhart, a hospital in Scotland for men suffering from shell shock (PTSD as it is known now) until the end of the War, but chose to go back to his unit in the trenches.
As I say, I’m not worthy to banter or jibe with those who have served their country....

I must say the Welsh lad took a lot of stick but gave as good as he got. I remember that when he mentioned that the Welsh Guards had escorted Princess Di’s funeral through London the Falklands vets (Para and Marine) both remarked that it was the furthest he'd even seen them march.....

24.) 14 Mar 2026 11:17:00
Stokey, brilliant. ?

25.) 14 Mar 2026 13:29:04
Stokey, you served your country just in a different way.

26.) 15 Mar 2026 21:21:00
I don't know about you, Stevie, but I think Stokey served his country in a way many Veterans could not have done. I admire him for that.

I can't imagine myself, or most of the other Veterans that I know, having the balanced-view, tolerance, and cool-headed nature that Coppers are expected to have nowadays.

Personally, I couldn't have done it.

27.) 16 Mar 2026 12:51:54
Thank you for your kind words, Stevie and Lego, much appreciated.
It could have easily been the case that I'd opted for a military career when I was 18 and then 21. I explored that possibility and went for careers interviews with the armed forces and Police. But I was clearly being pushed towards Officer training by the former in view of my A levels then degree ( I'm not bragging or being arrogant, just saying how it was). I didn't fancy that at the time as I got the impression ( IF i'd got through the training) that I'd be stuck on a base in northern Germany, in the equivalent of a Gentlemen's club of "Ruperts" bored out of my head with the odd tour of North Ireland.Likewise the RAF and the Navy were subject of a shrunken Empire with fewer and fewer ships and nothing East of Aden.

No one ( particularly successive British Governments) could have foreseen the Falklands. Even back then the RN had more Admirals than ships. It was heading to where it is now, moored up in UK ports to save money and for maintenance. As per the HMS Dragon disgrace. We only have around 23 ships and subs on total. So I went for the daily adventures of a Police Career. Which I enjoyed thoroughly.
The road not taken eh? .
It's always amazes me that one takes life changing decisions when one is of an age where you know Jack ?about the world. But, here we are .

28.) 16 Mar 2026 20:07:05
Lego, I don't think troops trained for combat make great policemen. Many incidents over the water point in that direction, mate.

29.) 16 Mar 2026 21:42:09
Stevie, mate, I can only say that the magnificent 7 on my shift were excellent policemen. I should also have mentioned that my Sergeant during the Miners' Strike was an ex Royal Marine, a veteran of Aden and a few other operations. He was a brilliant Sgt but not averse to a few, shall we say, skulduggery. He'd been a miner too (can't remember whether before or after his RM stint, probably before). I remember him chatting in a very friendly manner to an NUM photographer who'd been filming and taking pictures of us during the shift changes when it all kicked off. Having gained the bloke's confidence he asked to have a look at his kit then accidentally and on purpose "dropped" it heavily on the floor, smashing it to pieces.

He was quite a reserved bloke but after a few months living together in 20 hour shifts in a van he opened up and brought certain memorabilia to show us, including nicked IRA items from funerals obtained during house searches and about a dozen bodies of the Queen's enemies in the Middle East being dumped into a well. He always said there were certain parts of the world where he could never go on holiday. But he was a good leader, and I learnt a lot from him. He went on to become a very good senior detective.
I know what you mean, "across the water", but the Army were thrown into a situation they weren't trained for, in aid of the outgunned Police. Deeply unfortunate and tragic in terms of loss of life.

30.) 17 Mar 2026 00:10:38
Stokey, that's my point. Marines and Paras are search-and-destroy, front-foot combat troops, not really designed to be a police force. Some of the RUC officers were amongst the bravest men I've ever met. We were basically there on a temporary visit; they had to live there with their families. I admired them immensely. I once met an ex RUC officer and his wife in the TBI after a Forest match. When he found out about my former life, he shook my hand and gave me his Ulster rugby hat.

He thanked me because he said he had worked with Royal Marines and was grateful for how we had helped keep their families protected. It brought a tear to my eye, getting words like this from a man, who I had no doubt had more courage than I would ever have. I'll leave the discussion there now, mate. I don't want to turn this into an edition of "All Our Yesterdays," but feel free to take the p**s. I’ve no doubt sometimes I deserve it. ?

31.) 17 Mar 2026 09:16:20
Thanks Stevie, mate. I might, on occasion, respectfully disagree with you on here, but I won't ever be taking the p'ss.
I know what you mean about the RUC. I have an Ulster mate called Nev from my Police days who joined Notts instead of the RUC because, as he said, when you join the Police in NI then your whole family joins, and he didn't want that.

At Christmas he still sends cards with the message "Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and a Thumping 12th (a reference to the Battle of the Boyne, I believe)". ?
But agreed, no more "All Our Yesterdays"!

12 Jan 2021 21:23:12
Got to be a p*** take ain't it? Forest linked with kostas fourtunis😂 From olympiacos of course, when I saw the name I had to check it wasn't April 1st!

Stevie f

1.) 12 Jan 2021 22:10:51
We've already signed some of his relatives fortunis waststeies. 🤔.

24 Oct 2019 08:58:29
For me once again the manager hugely responsible for this result in his team selection, Silva and carvallho together against a physical strong championship team, I said pre season if we played them together championship teams would run straight through us, and that's what happened 1st half, Silva neat and tidy nothing more, carvallho for me, a little boy lost, cash scored a great goal, but he owed us that for pulling out of a tackle, to hand them possession for their 2nd, all very familiar, we lose Dawson and start shipping goals and losing games, very disappointing,

Stevie f

1.) 24 Oct 2019 09:17:28
Yes this happened last season when Dawson was injured thank good ness we have Samba. If we don’t move higher in the table ie top 4 it will be harder to attract a good striker in January if that’s what we need. Psychology is important . Watson was slated last season now or at least was a hero - what changed! Carvalho is bereft of confidence? Perhaps a time in the reserves would help? Lolley is not playing like he can either. So the manager does not drop them after one gain as that would psychologically be bad . Vis a vis Bostock who had a great game in the cup against Derby but then apparently a bad game against Wigan. I think I would have chosen him last night rather than Carvalho. However Yates I think played well. Dilemmas for SL but a win against Reading is important to move up the league but psychologically a priority for the players.

2.) 24 Oct 2019 10:07:25
So frustrating that if we had won last night and sunday we would have been 2 points clear at the top. If we want to play with the big boys we have got to control games. Too many times this season we've been on the back foot the whole match and nicked a point or a win. If our luck has run out we need to grow some balls and start taking games to teams.

3.) 24 Oct 2019 21:51:04
Lamouchi has got it right for the most part with his team selection and the use of subs, think he got it wrong at Wigan and I'd assume he knows that, last night my only concern was seeing Silva and carvalho in the team together as my opinion has always been that they can't play together and it leaves Watson exposed and having to do the job of sow aswell and his legs won't take that, Yates has to come in to give us the legs we need in midfield while sow is out, but to be fair to Lamouchi Yates has been out for a few months and maybe he wants to bring him along slowly to avoid further injury although we have a huge squad some players aren't allowed to be picked so Lamouchi put put a more attacking side out on paper and if your honest what side can any of put out from the squad at the moment that will improve us?
Samba, grabban, cash, Watson and worrall are fixtures and pick themselves and we know although not playing well lolley will play the rest is a lottery until sow semedo and dawson are fit again even jenkinson gives us another option of playing cash on the wing, all a bit unfortunate with the injuries.

30 Jan 2019 21:06:21
See we've loaned gomis to that lot across the river said it's forest' holding out an olive branch ' I wouldn't give them anything, any apologising should be or 'olive branches' should be held out by that plank hardy for shooting off his big mouth and insulting forest in the 1st place, I firmly hope they go down, their fans have no respect for us anyway.

Stevie f

1.) 30 Jan 2019 21:26:33
Yes Stevie but we are showing we have class by holding out an olive branch, bit different to holding your todger?😁

2.) 30 Jan 2019 22:13:15
I don't know about an olive branch, but I think there's a lot of stick coming Hardys way.

3.) 30 Jan 2019 22:17:02
Did someone mention maggots?

4.) 30 Jan 2019 22:56:42
Hardy needs to go back to school and realise that maggots turn into flies, instead of trying to get a maggot out of his flies.🙄🙄

5.) 30 Jan 2019 23:09:41
We the season of goodwill has certainly ended on this forum?
Come On You Pies!🤣🐬

6.) 30 Jan 2019 23:43:52
I'm glad to see Mrs hardy saying he needs to handle himself better and is hugely disappointed on the whole 🤔

7.) 31 Jan 2019 13:46:20
Oh I just love this banter!

03 Oct 2018 23:27:24
First of all millwall were well worth their point our keeper had an absolute stinker, and very few come out with any credit nobody else said anything but I thought hef had a shocker, the manager went all defensive despite the fact we were 2up i'm going to say no more about carvallhio nice free kick but spent most of the night giving the ball away, grabban was a total passenger lolly the only real bright spark thought we might improve but looks like I could be wrong poor night all in.

Stevie f

1.) 04 Oct 2018 01:27:48
I wish the boss would start with Dawson and Murphy against physical sides. It looks obvious to me but not to the boss for some reason.

I can't help feeling like the people on here who reckon this system doesn't suit Grabban were right. He has still only scored a couple of goals in the league apart from penalties. Surely the boss can work out how to get more out of him?

Finally, for a defensive approach we are conceding too many STILL!

This team has promise but it feels like something is still missing. With these players how can we be on the back foot against Millwall?

2.) 04 Oct 2018 09:23:38
Grabban is a goalpoacher, nothing else to his game, great when you play two up,but looks lost alone.
The defence looked poor all night and got a let off early when they hit the bar, doesn't help when they know the goalie will stay rooted to his line all the time and not take charge of high balls.
Heff had a very poor game getting beat numerous times in the air and we still don't look like scoring from corners.
We didn't deserve all three points, but after calvahalo goal that should have been it,don't think karanka covered himself in glory with the final two subs, sitting back and defending was asking for trouble with our fragile defence and dodgy goalie

3.) 04 Oct 2018 10:52:39
Ff79 they also had a good goal disallowed. Pants is a liability. Flat footed, never comes for crosses and inspires no confidence in those around him. As for his distribution??? Captain calamity. Simply a baffoon.
This was a game for Murphy with A another playing tight off him. Grabban offers nothing in this one up role. Dias and Carv are like boys playing for their school. Wonder about with no idea how to move to shape things and are woeful in posession. Why the defence was so poor lastnight? Msybe we were too deep and invited pressure from all angles. Every cross they put in equalled panic stations. can't remember their keeper having anything to deal with. AK needs to stop showing blind loyalty to certain players, assess the opposition and adapt. If thst means more physicality than Fox then it needs doing. Geddy is back to his inconsitent best too. Lastnight was such a disappointment. Not the result the manner in which we went about it. Totally outgunnsd by a poor Millwall side. Step up AK

4.) 04 Oct 2018 11:26:55
Ff I thought heff should have closed down quicker for Blackburn’s 2nd on Saturday too

5.) 04 Oct 2018 11:27:24
To be fair Rutland other than 70 mins in the WBA game we've played badly all season at home in championship, been very lucky at times, that luck will run out I'm afraid.

6.) 04 Oct 2018 20:44:47
Absolutely ff. 70 mins against WBA is it as far as the league is concerned.
The football under Karanka is boring as hell and although the style is defensive the defence is awful. We still concede far too many.
Hefele is slower than a cart horse and Fox never wins a header from a cross.

We have scraped last min draws at Wigan Blackburn and at home to Brum so last night was “own medicine”, reality is we deserved to lose last night.

7.) 04 Oct 2018 21:07:23
Got to agree north Notts can't see us getting enough wins to be up there,we seem to keep grabbing a couple of goals from nowhere somehow, never create many clear cut chances then make individual errors at the back,to me we played with 8 men last night, grabban and calvahalo were non existent and we didn't have a goalkeeper.
You can't carry three players and get away with it.
Most hilarious comment I heard last night was in the car on the way home,Steve Hodge on the radio blaming the fans for shouting at pants to throw it quickly, took his time as usual and then panicked 🤣🤣🤣🤣

31 Mar 2026 20:41:41
Stokey, your post about Bobby Moore being the best ball playing central defender in the world in his era, I think Franz Beckenbauer (who played sweeper a lot) might have something to say about that. I always thought Moore was a bit overrated, but holding the Jules Rimet over your head is bound to inflate your legacy a bit I suppose. Fair play to him.

Stevie f

1.) 31 Mar 2026 22:25:24
Bobby Moore and Martin Peters were ahead of their time when it comes to English players.
Beckenhanbour was pure class, but played in a new system which the world of football wasn't used to.

2.) 01 Apr 2026 09:01:07
Forest are going down!!!
April Fool!!!!
???

3.) 01 Apr 2026 11:24:05
Not saying that he was as good as Beckenbauer, but the best CB I ever saw play live was Ruud Gullit, oozed class, strong and a proper ball player. Back in the late 90s, when I was still at school, my best mate and I had a list of players/teams that we wanted to watch live. Growing up on a staple of Football Italia, Gianfranco Zola and Gianluca Vialli were top of that list, along with Fabrizio Ravanelli.

Paid through the teeth to get a ticket at Stamford Bridge to watch Barcelona a few years later, so I could see Ronaldinho. In 2017, I was lucky enough to be working in the events industry and bagged a ticket for the Champions League final in Cardiff. Real blew Juve away. Lol, how Italian football has fallen. ?

4.) 01 Apr 2026 17:31:38
Fair point, Stevie. "Der Kaiser" played a lot of his football as a midfielder, but he was 3 players in one, wasn't he? A centre back (usually sweeper or libero), defensive midfielder, or further forward. Effortlessly in all cases, and versatile.
I think Bobby Moore's lack of mobility prevented him from going far beyond the halfway line.

Anyway, his managers, particularly Sir Alf, were conservative and shrewd enough to recognise this limitation.
But, as a pure sweeper and instigator of attacks, having won possession, he was peerless imo.

25 Mar 2026 20:06:35
Saw a post on social media earlier, regarding the pundits and press attitude towards Marinakis. When he sacked Postecoglou after 30 days in charge, he was called reckless, trigger happy, and was mocked. Now many of those same pundits are urging Tottenham to sack Tudor after 30 days, saying a change is imperative, hypocrisy at its finest.

Stevie f

1.) 25 Mar 2026 22:51:24
Yep, totally agree, Stevie.
They sacked Postecoglou for winning a European trophy and getting them into the Champions League.
So deserve what's happening.

2.) 26 Mar 2026 10:17:50
Harry Rednapp said he will be sad and upset if the Hammers or Spurs go down. Looking forward to that then, Harry. ? ? ?

3.) 26 Mar 2026 12:09:26
Jester Harry's senile, after the game he said Romero and van der ven ' are top top players " oh and the forest centre backs' do a job" he's so out of touch, Romero is an undisciplined liability, van der ven is overrated, murrillo and milenkovic are better players, I had a decent bet on Forest, I looked at the teams, and to be honest I can't see one spurs player who would get into a combined team,

4.) 28 Mar 2026 23:56:18
Harry Rednapp, if senile was his diagnosis, Stevie, shouldn't be blurted as a passing phrase. Just saying. And I know, you know better.

24 Mar 2026 13:50:29
Just when you thought it couldn’t get more hilarious at Spurs, rumours that Hughton is being lined up for the job. ??

Stevie f

1.) 24 Mar 2026 14:42:00
Honestly? ????

2.) 24 Mar 2026 15:14:57
Send dtp down there, Hugton out. ??

3.) 24 Mar 2026 15:39:20
Winter, he's being mentioned, plus 80-year-old Harry Redknapp, and Tim Sherwood, who hasn't managed for 12 years. ?
Ballon's, I think it being Spurs; he might be down there with "Hughton in" on his banner. ?

4.) 24 Mar 2026 15:57:33
Yes, get him in as soon as. He'll put a smile on everyone's faces. ???

5.) 24 Mar 2026 16:59:57
Be careful what you wish for, he has to come good eventually. Even you lot talk sense sometimes. ???

6.) 24 Mar 2026 21:19:58
Always been careful of what I wish for.
Marinakis being run out of town ain't one of them, as I've already witnessed the alternatives.
Scholar, Doughty and Fawas.

7.) 25 Mar 2026 17:12:47
Please, don't appoint Hughton, my broken ribs hurt when I laugh.

23 Mar 2026 09:11:52
By the way, Spurs pre match parade, that went well ???.

Stevie f

1.) 23 Mar 2026 09:49:24
It was impressive though, Stevie. Fans played their part until we intervened and totally ruined the day.

2.) 23 Mar 2026 10:20:36
Gazzi, a bit cringy to me, mate. Not the way to approach a relegation fight, to me. Piled pressure on them for me, but great played into our hands.

22 Mar 2026 22:07:15
I think winter mentioned this somewhere on the board, but want to reiterate how good Michael Oliver was today, he was strong, and didn’t fall for the theatrics of Romero and co, and was fair and even handed throughout. It was nice to see a good exhibition of refereeing for a change.

Stevie f

Refreshing to praise a ref, isn't it? I thought he was superb, as you mentioned above. He stuck to his guns a couple of times, and kept his cards in his pocket for the most part. Considering what was at stake, he approached the game level-headed. Bonus that Area 51s VAR base wasn't called into action. ? ?

2.) 23 Mar 2026 08:09:24
Yes, also all decisions were quickly dealt with that helped the game flow and the players had to get on with the game. He didn't let the moaning players have any say.

I thought it was the best reffing performance all season in our games, home and away, all competitions.

4.) 23 Mar 2026 09:20:05
Just seen on YouTube the scenes outside Spurs' ground before kickoff. How on earth it didn't inspire their players on that bus, and then walking out onto the pitch at that magnificent stadium, is quite beyond me. Are they that far detached from reality?

5.) 23 Mar 2026 10:27:34
Red Vale, the problem is, mate, Spurs fans are a bit deluded. I can't think of one of their players who would get in our team.

6.) 23 Mar 2026 10:56:15
No, I can't either. I'd started to think Spence was turning into a class player, but yesterday he was bang average. Actually, he was worse than that.

Lego, I don't think troops trained for combat make great policemen. Many incidents over the water point in that direction, mate.

Nobody is getting carried away with a team flirting with relegation. The comparison was Murillo and Des Walker. Des was quicker, a top defender, but a limited ball-playing footballer. Murillo is a better player. Only Gold Star has mentioned Keane, Colleymore, or Pearce.

Larry, Des had straight-line pace; he got found out in Italy. He was never the best defender in the world. I liked Des, but let's not get carried away. Murillo is a better player.

Murillo is a better footballer than Des in my opinion.
