Hope we don't go down the Silva route.... He comes across as a miserable personality not good for team cohesion..... VP deserves the summer window and a cracking at next season, he's a breath of fresh air and has done a fantastic rescue job.
Hope Mr M has the sense to stick.....

Looking at the table and GD we are only -3 which shows what a solid defensive unit we have.... Need a quality young centre forward who can get us 15 goals and work with Jesus going forward as feel Woody has run his course..... Invest Andos money well and we can look forward to a better season....

Apparently Silva turned us down. And if he has good, wouldn't want him. VP deserves a season. Let's hope we can keep most of our best players and just add a few. Looking forward to next season uredddssss.

2.) 17 May 2026 21:43:17
Just saw the highlights...
He doesn't handle the ball???
He f****** carries it!!!!.
???

3.) 17 May 2026 22:38:05
West Ham, another obvious pen. Wtf is the point of VAR?

4.) 17 May 2026 23:25:35
And the Palace game, the pull in Jonno's shirt. VAR and the referees have been appalling the last week or so. ?

5.) 18 May 2026 06:32:33
I'm not a killjoy, however, how come you get booked for taking your shirt off, however you can wear a Spider Man mask after you score???
It's enough to drive you up the walls!!!.
???

{Ed001's Note - that came from Forlan scoring against Liverpool and taking his shirt off but being unable to put it back on. They had a load of different undershirts attached to the main shirt then and it was so wet with his sweat that he couldn't get it sorted. So he was running round with the shirt in his hand afterwards for a bit, which sponsors were not keen on, so the rules were changed to stop it happening again. They have since changed shirt design, so there is absolutely no need for the rule any more.}

6.) 18 May 2026 09:21:56
Never mind about shirts, what is the handball rule? ? ? Whatever and whoever it suits at the time.

7.) 18 May 2026 10:32:50
They've managed to complicate the rule so far that I doubt a Premier League ref could stand in front of us all and explain it.
Things have to change next season on the handball and offside rules. Clear or intentional, thereby gaining an advantage and daylight. Simple as that. ?

8.) 18 May 2026 10:56:18
Rogie, it was so obvious that Mbeumo might as well have stuffed the ball up his shirt, mate!
At best, the ref overthought it.
Was it handball? Yes, definitely, admitted.
Did it confer an advantage to the offender? Yes... goal and 3 points ultimately.

Was it deliberate? Yes, it clearly diverted the ball to Cunha, and Mbeumo's arm was rising into an "unnatural" position.
One of the easiest decisions a ref could make, but he compounded his original blooper in missing it visually by sticking to his mistake.
Incredible!

9.) 18 May 2026 21:35:34
Ed 1 that is a magnificent piece of information mate, which I will use over and over again to impress people as much as it impressed me! Just brilliant ??????

{Ed001's Note - it sticks in my head as I can remember him running about with his shirt in his hand afterwards. He had barely scored for them before then. So typical that he decided to find his scoring touch.}

I agree with you, Redkeef, but I would add Williams to that as you said for the commitment and near ever present all season... plus they have done this with all 4 managers, MGW is a strong contender but feel his attitude wasn't right during the early part of the season but cannot be doubted for the rest and particularly for VP.

Definitely GW for me. Had a slow start after all the Spurs saga, but without him we'd have gone down. Performances last 2 months have been best in Prem. Think we take him for granted at times.

Williams would be 2nd, but still can't forgive him for that stupid handball v Palace, a game we'd won otherwise, and his subsequent ban against Leeds again, which cost us points.

Milenkovic, Mr consistent and again underrated. 12mil bargain.

Going on Sunday, first time since we beat them 2 1 early 90s. Think Pearce n Collymore scored n Cantona for them.

2.) 15 May 2026 19:39:25
I agree with you, Redstripe.
The freedom Vitor has given him playing out wide has been the key.

11 May 2026 20:43:50
Just watching Leeds at Spurs, they keep playing out from the keeper and they must be losing possession or struggling to clear most times, why risk it....Glad VT not an advocate...

1.) 11 May 2026 22:38:24
Spurs are still in this big time. Think Chelsea will beat them.

If they need something on the final day at home to Everton, the pressure will be on big time.

Lovely watching these London clubs battle it out for the pleasure of staying in the Prem.

Schadenfreude.

2.) 12 May 2026 13:08:35
Schadenfreude? Are they from the Bundesliga Forest? ??

3.) 12 May 2026 17:04:07
Schadenfreude. It is a German word that has no literal translation in any other language.

It means "Laughing at other people's misfortune."

???

4.) 12 May 2026 17:43:59
I know, Forest! I was just trying to get a witty gag in, mate. My first wife was a German speaker, and I've spent a lot of time over there... a great country, and very civilised.

5.) 12 May 2026 19:09:48
Never been.

Was kind of hoping we might get Stuttgart, an excuse to give it a go. Can't complain, as Porto was brilliant, though I have been to Portugal many times.

Who knows, this time next year, with a bit of luck and some sound decisions, we may be looking towards another European run.

6.) 12 May 2026 19:33:35
We can but hope, Forest. Key for me is not going mad in the transfer market, buying quantity not quality. No more gluts of 9 or 10 new faces to assimilate in pre season. Definitely no procession of managers.

4 new quality signings max to replace Murillo, MGW and Ando. Then a big centre forward, as Woody isn't getting any younger.
Stability at all times, and cherish VP. He's highly competent and knows what he's doing!

7.) 12 May 2026 20:51:40
I am hoping that we don't lose all 3.

They are all under contract, so no immediate pressure. Don't think Mr M will let that happen.

1 big fee, and it keeps us onside with finances.

Spot on about quality over quantity.

Plus, next year Netz, Cunha and possibly McAtee step up and join the party.

Hope Ndoye has a great World Cup for Switzerland, so we can get our money back. Hasn't worked out for him. What is it with Forest and these Swiss internationals.

8.) 15 May 2026 13:51:06
I don't think contracts are binding these days, mate. The length of contract merely adds to the transfer fee. If a player wants to go, there's not much the club can do, post Bosman.

10 May 2026 18:53:51
Wow... What a season. The lads have had to cope with 5 managers, all the extra European games, injuries to key players, but the squad achieved safety with two games to spare... Let's hope Vp is given another season and he has the backing of a good recruitment team....

If Ando and Mgw move on to pastures new then best wishes to them, just hope they don't become bench warmers like Elanga as they are too good to not be playing regular football..... Phew we can relax now..... Come on Leeds tomorrow.....

Totally agree, Munmad, but can't see him playing two up top. We need to go at them from the office and get in front, throw the kitchen sink at this one as City up next.
