Just heard that lascelles for 8 million been agreed.

For 8 mill I would let him go. It's a lot of money for someone who only played 1season.We have a lot of cover in that part of the team already. And that money can be used to improve other areas with 3 or 4 players.

Wilson currently injured, started 7 of our 46 games last season

Hobbs currently injured, started 27 of 46 games for us last season

Laing, who hasn't had ANY football for 2 seasons and last played for Wycombe

Or do you mean Collins and Halford, who have been so critically well received over the last couple of years by forest fans?

With those choices at CB and no fit RB at the club, I would say defence is out no. 1 area of weakness

Went to the test match at Trent bridge on Friday the guy sat in front of me knows jamel he said he's going and will go where the money is , apparently a bit of a poser and no loyalty and material things mean more. I hope this is exaggerated info as I didn't think he was like that

8 million IS silly money for a backup player as that's what he is when Hobbs and Wilson are fit. but then again I am a lacelles hater (apparently).8 million now or if he stays and has a poor season that price will come down. but then if he plays well could be worth 10million. its a big gamble to turn this money down.

I really don't buy into this oft repeated idea of 'loyalty'; players who dedicate themselves to one club for their entire career at the expense of their personal situation are in a tiny minority and everyone is doing a job of work and entitled to improve their lot when the opportunity arises. If Lascelles goes for the reported £8m, we're being more than adequately compensated for the loss. Good luck to him.

If we were to get 8 million + add ons
and replace him with this lad from Barcelona on a free then that adds a lot to the Bank account.
The same with Lansbury if we were to sell him and replace him with someone who costs nothing then there will be 10 million in the bank to develop this squad.
