Ed hearing rumours Lansbury 5m to burnley
Cox 600k to?
If this is true fawas selling our best players
Do u think he's going to bring in top forward
Or is this just balancing books.
As it gone pear shaped because sponcership
Int happening. One week ago we're lead to believe massive
Sponcership no stars would be leaving unless silly offers came in that we couldn't refuse.
Then week later selling stars for very low offers
If we don't go up again it won't be Pearce
Fault.
Anybody know who we put bid in for last nite

{Ed034's Note - hold on. Cox is not rated by most and if it wasn't for other sales, nobody would be bother.
Lansbury has been offered a contract and its up to him. he can sign it, stay on what he's on or leave.
That £5m offer (which is a good offer) has been rejected by all accounts.
read the statement and you will see why the offer for Lascelles and Darlow was accepted. Not enough for me if it is the £7m but I understand why

May I suggest that everyone reads the statement from Fawaz which is now up on the OS. There is no need for doom and gloom. get behind the Manager, Owner and of course the Team and let's look forward to a great season.

2.) 05 Aug 2014
Agree with Ed034 here, agree the £7m is low but taking into account Newcastle will pay their wages this year, need to add another £2m on top. Cox I believe is one that will be allowed to leave so he can get 1st team football as not going to be 1st choice here. Lansbury I think it's in his court, if he wants to go I expect Forest will accept a slightly higher fee as better to get rid then keep an unhappy player here that won't perform 100%, he should use next few weeks to prove he deserves a better contract then that's been offered.

3.) 05 Aug 2014
Lansbury has said on social media'reading your tweets crack me up too much love for you guys' surely this means he's staying he's staying

4.) 05 Aug 2014
Marco123, the only mentioning about Sponsorship has been rumour sites and press stories (which are only true about 10% of time), the club have given no indication of the rumoured deal and Fawaz has only ever said try to work out a sponsorship deal.

If we believe anything in the Press then we gone bankrupt a year ago, Darlow would've left last summer, Wilson, Blackstock & Cohen would've quit with injury last season and Nigel Clough would be Pearce's assistant.

5.) 05 Aug 2014
Ed 7 mil is lower than I would of liked but we ain't pay any wages for the pair all season so that got to b worth 2 mil at least so that just scrapes it for me

{Ed034's Note - still low for me but there you go

6.) 05 Aug 2014
Arnold Town are welcome to Cox all the best, for a matter of fact I will drive him. Sad to see such a large number of fans going crazy over Fawaz hold on and see what happens. Agreed it is not great to see players go. let's not slam the Chairman instantly though.

{Ed034's Note - I'll let the one slide due to your name lol

Correct get behind Fawaz read the statement and I get where he's coming from, my only problem is Pearce should have been consulted (apparently he was) a lot of clubs buy and sell players without the mangers approval, 3 points clean sheet on Saturday and this will be forgot about

8.) 05 Aug 2014
So what happens if Fryatt who is injury prone gets his inevitable injury and the Dutch lad isn't good enough? No striker yet again. I waited to renew my season ticket until last week despite having one for 30 years and having to pay extra, betrayed yet again.

{Ed034's Note - haha betrayed. Pearce has said he is working on forwards. Stop going over the top

9.) 05 Aug 2014
Well said, people keep forgetting about the FFP rules

{Ed034's Note - I don't think people understand that they are for real

10.) 05 Aug 2014
A well written and honest statement in my opinion. He is doing the right thing for the club and is seeing the bigger picture with FFP. We will keep KD and JL for no cost this season and use the £7 million to balance the books. Cox for £600000 is a good move as his wages are as much (if not more) than the other 2 combined. I just hope that there are some added clauses in the deal with Newcastle which will see the income increase significantly long term. My opinion is that there must be as we could have sold for better money else where. Shrewd business by Fawaz, I still have faith - let's just hope it's enough and we can keep Henri, bring on Blackpool!

11.) 05 Aug 2014
Yibble you seriously think we won't get another striker in?im positive we will but we will have to wait for the prem season to start a get one of there youth players. just be patient.
tell you something ed it doesn't take much to turn some fans from happy as larry to doom and gloom mongers. a lot worse things have happened in football, deep breath and get on with it just like pearce is

12.) 05 Aug 2014
7 million for landsbury, just seen it on the burnley rumour site that this would break there transfer record. that money is worth taking ONLY if we can reinvest. I think Henri is class and don't want to see him go. you heard it here first

{Ed034's Note - heard what first?

13.) 05 Aug 2014
Yibble -how have you been betrayed? I am also a 30 year plus ticket holder and got an early bird ticket. The club said prices would rise after early birds sales as do other clubs ticket prices each year. It is called inflation.

{Ed034's Note - I want to know where you get a ticket for £300. Add a couple of hundred in for mine in u1 and I thought that was a cheap place to stand/sit

14.) 05 Aug 2014
Trust is required on and off the pitch, and for the team off the field the trust will have evaporated. Fawaz could have explained this to Pearce who could have thrown in his own ideas and suggestions, but this option was not provided.

This will eventually digress to on the field. Need to learn the word trust FAYAZ and this is an attribute essential to team sports.

For all those that trust in FAWAZ, I wouldn't as it won't be long before he's pulled more of the carpet from Pearces feet.

15.) 05 Aug 2014
Now everyones read the statement people can calm down get behind the team and the staff. amazing how many of the fans jumped to conclusions yesterday and suddenly back to normal today. disappointing they didn't just hold their breath and wait but now its all over let's just forget move on and see what tomorrow brings

16.) 05 Aug 2014
Ed, I hate to upset you but I do not get a ticket for £300 my early bird senior was £272, you will have to wait a few years to get one of these.

{Ed034's Note - lol

17.) 05 Aug 2014
Bang on Ed. Moaning about the sale of Cox. People have moaned about him since we v brought him with the usual "not good enough" tag. Until we get promoted no one will be good enough.

Come sign for forest. We will slate you within months.

Get behind what we have, I can't wait for Saturday.!

18.) 05 Aug 2014
It's now Mackie and Cox, it's all going melons up!

{Ed034's Note - why if Pearce has said both can go, which he has

19.) 05 Aug 2014

NFFCDAVE fawaz' son tweeted about the Kuwait sponsorship deal over a week ago which suggests it is more than speculation

20.) 05 Aug 2014
£7m plus being loaned back for a full season with no wages represents good business for me. In the future these players may be worth more, but at the same time may not progress and could end up being worth less.

Couple of examples to benchmark the deal against -

Steven Caulker - £8m lots of Prem experience, young and capped by England
Jack Butland - £3.3m capped by England

When you compare our £7m plus loans to the above £11.3m I don't think we are too far off.

On Lansbury £5m is great value, plenty of midfielders out there who we could pick up for £1-£2m and do a similar job, good player, not a world beater and certainly replaceable.

Need to remember we are a championship club and there are players out there better than what we have already got that by the end of this month may be willing to drop down - don't panic, we will be ok this season I'm sure.

21.) 05 Aug 2014
Unfortunately we are in tough times and they are likely to get tougher. FFP is a reality and we can't keep on losing money year after year. The only way we can do this is to sell our players and invest in the youth system.
I have been a fan of Forest for over 30 years and I have never seen a time when we have not sold our best players to a club with more money than us.
I agree that Darlow and Lascells seem to have gone cheaply but we do have them for the whole season and I am sure they would want to get Forest promoted just as much as everyone else.
I am worried with the lack of communication between Pearce and Fawaz but Pearce is nothing but a straight talker and Imp sure he would have had it out with the chairman.
I am still excited about this season and I am definitely relieved that NFFC PLC will not be going bankrupt any time soon.
