The next five games are going to be crucial. They are all against teams around us in the table. If we can get some decent results from them I think we can climb up the table and the picture in the new year will look a lot rosier.

Just a thought but with the rumours that quite a few of the recent signings have been nothing to do with DF and a possible interference from Fawaz I'm thinking that DF is making these poor tactical decisions so that he is sacked. That way he gets a nice pay out rather than quitting and getting nothing. It could explain a lot.

Looking at how all the teams in the top divisions are playing no player or manager has any incentive to perform to their best as they get paid megabucks just for turning up and even if they don't!
At least with our current available squad and manager we performing in line with their ability?

Why didn't you copy and paste all of that post in stead of just picking the team bit out. if you really think that is what I would do then you are just as deluded as dougie "bingo" freedman.
In stead of asking people what there thoughts are on my post why don't YOU have ago at telling me where iv gone wrong?
Last night we went 1 down and were getting beat for the first 15 mins. the lads pulled there socks up and went about trying to get a goal, they had 10 shots in the first half, they go in at half time still one behind. dougie does his speech gets them back out there makes some subs and we have 4 shots in the second half. what did dougie say in the dressing room to out us off our stride in the second half?

It was only the team bit I asked you for, but you can't do it can you? I am fully aware that was a sarcastic team. We should be looking for positive solutions not just moaning, any fool can whine on about what's wrong, it takes a braver person to solve it.
{Ed001's Note - so why don't you offer some solutions instead of being so patronising all the time?}

The solution is stick with the manager which I have said consistently, give him and the team some support and see where we are in the new year, if the manager has not turned it round by then he will have to go that is clear. However, nothing is won or lost yet so why not give the guy a fair crack. The most difficult problem to solve is that of no goalscorer, when the ball falls at your feet in a game and you are 10 yards out does it matter who the manager is? no, does it matter what the tactics are? no, pure instinct takes over, sadly the instinct is to miss the target.
What everyone seems to be forgetting is that we still have KD and JL for the season.
So Cox and Mackie have gone to Reading and been replaced straight away with two pretty exciting prospects.
If you look at our team on paper for this season I think we have the best shot at going up than we have had in a long, long time.
I'm excited!
Unfortunately we are in tough times and they are likely to get tougher. FFP is a reality and we can't keep on losing money year after year. The only way we can do this is to sell our players and invest in the youth system.
I have been a fan of Forest for over 30 years and I have never seen a time when we have not sold our best players to a club with more money than us.
I agree that Darlow and Lascells seem to have gone cheaply but we do have them for the whole season and I am sure they would want to get Forest promoted just as much as everyone else.
I am worried with the lack of communication between Pearce and Fawaz but Pearce is nothing but a straight talker and Imp sure he would have had it out with the chairman.
I am still excited about this season and I am definitely relieved that NFFC PLC will not be going bankrupt any time soon.
