Here's one a mate in UK texted me this morning, he was at the game yesterday and heard as part of Darlow and Lascelles deal, we have the option to loan Darlow for a second season, anyone else heard this?

Can't see that. There would be no point signing him if that was the case

Really can't see that being the case. They will want to use him at some point

3.) 24 Aug 2014
It would be a sensible idea for Newcastle, blood him half a season in the prem, but Kruls a liability so can't see it in truth

Don't see why they needed him in the first place, they have Tim krul who is a great keeper and also their own young keeper rob Elliot who has played well when selected.

5.) 24 Aug 2014
Josh, you right I think he will be a bench warmer, even No. 3

6.) 24 Aug 2014
Unsure if true but Chelsea signed a keeper then loaned him to Atheletico Madrid for two years!

Now look at him!

7.) 24 Aug 2014
I've heard that Darlow with his reluctance to sign at the last minute for Newcastle they added a relegation release clause, to persuade him he's doing the right thing. Anyone know how true this is? If so does this mean he's on a freebie or just the deal gets ko'd?

{Ed034's Note - heard nothing of the sort

8.) 24 Aug 2014
They bought him because the price was so attractive; whether he ever plays for them or not, as a young English keeper attracting attention and developing his game in the Championship, he represents a solid investment.

9.) 25 Aug 2014
What would Darlow do IF we got promoted into the EPL? Don't think he would be NUFC first choice keeper, but more than likely would be ours. Is re-signing him out of the picture when we have more cash to play around with under FFP? Would the fans accept him back?

{Ed034's Note - why wouldn't they??

I wonder if its more a case of having first option on him if they send him out on loan again, kind of like some deals where you have first option to buy a player back if the club decide to sell.

We should not have sold Darlow but if we go up. We will probably buy him back for double what we sold him for.

{Ed034's Note - we sold him to fund assombolonga and Antonio.

That's not happening unless agreed at the season end. plus the clown who said Krul's a liability either doesn't understand what a goalkeeper does or doesn't understand football fullstop!

Can see Krul moving on next season and Darlow may just be the Newcastle number 1.

Ha ha ha. Tim Krul Is better than Joe Hart! What a muppet.

So there is a buy back clause, only If we get promoted and Is worth more than the value we sold both players for.
