West Brom to come backin with a second bid for Antonio, hope Fawaz doesn't sell, won't send out a great message to the rest of the squad and Pearce would not be happy either.

Id sell. i'm sure i can't be the only person who thinks this but whilst his effort is remarkable i don't see a lot of talent. If someones willing to pay i'd send him off

23 Jan 2015 20:46:14

23 Jan 2015 20:55:32
WBA don't pay top dollar

I would want good money for him even though he's a bit erratic!

4.) 23 Jan 2015
23 Jan 2015 21:26:17
so riise17 you dot see much talent could that have anything to do with the fact that every team realised what a threat he was after the firt 12 games and decided to double or even treble up on him definitly worh more than wba would be willing to pay !!!

5.) 23 Jan 2015
23 Jan 2015 21:46:29
Sell him for a crazy price, we can at last recoup some of the money WBA have swindled out of us over the years. Dobie, Miller I'm sure there have been more.

6.) 23 Jan 2015
23 Jan 2015 21:53:00
Oh yes of course and Cox . what a bargain he was!

Dear me we've signed more no hopers than you could Shake a stick at over the years.

7.) 24 Jan 2015
24 Jan 2015 15:37:34
Sell him and hope pato has a second half of a season like he did last. We won't get promoted so let's balance our books so we can buy next summer

8.) 24 Jan 2015
24 Jan 2015 17:48:54
Yes let's get rid of him for silly money like we did with bamford bet were all glad we got rid of him

9.) 24 Jan 2015
24 Jan 2015 20:14:21
I think if Fawaz sold him SP would walk. By the way I assume the Darlow Lascelles deal still goes ahead even though Pardew has left Newcastle ?

10.) 24 Jan 2015
24 Jan 2015 21:56:21
Well if SP would walk let's sell him then!!!!!!!

11.) 24 Jan 2015
24 Jan 2015 22:36:55
Ozzy is that really the answer ? who would replace him maybe David Platt ?

12.) 24 Jan 2015
24 Jan 2015 22:52:40
maybe if we just keep swapping manager every 6 months like we have been we will find a manager to take us to the premier league in the next 6 months lol because changing manager like we have is working really well for us lol come on pearce uredddds

13.) 25 Jan 2015
25 Jan 2015 08:55:57
It's alright people keep banging the drum about 'stability' and 'give it time' but surely it has to be the right person in the job in the first place? Whilst the support for SP is admirable it is by no means as widespread as the media like to make out. And what is the magic amount of time to give a new manager in modern football? Surely the best part of 7 months is a reasonable amount of time to make some forward progress? Football wise we have gone backwards three years! We have no apparent shape, style or identity. Mind you we are missing key players .

No one was glad we sold bamford just as no one will be glad to see Antonio go, sadly as when bamford went out overspending and achieving nothing Sins have found us out.

Time to get real folks we're in a bad way, is it right FA sanctions can determine whether you're rich or poor? Definitely not no other business and no other body in the world would decree a business can't spend its money.

This I'm afraid though is where we are and Antonio will be sold as our black hole is enormous. I don't feel any club (other than Spurs ) has spent so much and achieved so little.

25 Jan 2015 10:38:21
What manager is out there that u would want to replace him with and what other manager in the right mind out there would take the job knowing u would only have 7 months to turn things round or your fired were getting through more managers than players we might as well stick with pearce till at least one more season can't c any body else out there I would want except for Martin oniell and I don't think there's any chance of him coming here

Over the last few seasons we have been crying out for that 20 goal a season striker, the midfield was brilliant we had a solid defence, vast majority of time in the top places in the league. Now we have that 20 goal a season striker in Britt, plus the awesome Antonio who takes 2 or 3 players to stop him, our midfield and defence has disappeared, this cannot be down to injuries only.
It will be interesting to see where we are in three games time. Frustrated to say the least.

5 million would be a very good buisness deal. Get him sold

18.) 25 Jan 2015
25 Jan 2015 12:55:48
Pearce should stay but get help.

What's colin cooper doing ? One of our best ever defenders.

Us David Kelly out of work? Could he bring BD tactical expertise without the rubbish.

I've been saying this for months now everyone is, there are benefits broadly for the club having Pearce in charge. Nevertheless we need to start winning footbalk matches and compete in this league, not win by a mile, not play sublime football every week, just compete.

The only way out of the financial mire we are in is to sell a decent player every window I'm afraid. Along with Fawaz getting some sponsorship in and our stressed out CEO becoming like Dynamo and producing magic on the finance front.

You reap what you sow as the saying go's and we haven't sown anything for years. SP has now with the youth academy which might save the club in the coming years.

I am frustrated with how this season has turned out probably like most of you. I wasn't one of the " promotion is ours" brigade, I was happy with a 8th to 10th place finish, build the club get everything in place get it right and then kick on next season. This is now even unlikely with FFP strangling the club.

Given our record over recent seasons(even when we were doing well) against the teams at or towards the bottom of the league is very poor, we could be in for a rough ride till the end of the season.

Someone who talks sense well said another red in Bielefeld coyr

21.) 25 Jan 2015
25 Jan 2015 15:20:20
Another red, you're right here, we have too many over expectant fans, as i have said before i expect Forest to compete in the championship, that should be realistic.

22.) 25 Jan 2015
Skeg and 2star thanks for the kind words, I guess as I'm unable to attend matches on a regular basis or hold a season ticket, I'm able to have a view like this, if I was spending a small fortune following our team home and away I might have a differing view.
I'm now of an age where I look back fondly to the 80's and early 90's when I was a regular at Wembley. When we seemed to beat Spuds home or away. Or even further back to a youngster of 9 and 10 years of age travelling into Europe with my dad and brothers cheering on Trevor Francis, John Robertson and the rest of the double European Cup winners to victory.
I feel sorry for our younger supporters who have missed this fantastic era in our clubs history I would love our club to flourish and to be successful again, but at the moment it seems further away then ever.

25 Jan 2015 16:56:16
I remember them days well I also traveled to watch Francis McGovern bottles Anderson Lloyd what a fantastic time that was i'm 44 another red we must be about same age I just think with the owner we have at this time we have a great chance of getting back in the premiership and getting some of them good old days back for all the young fans out there now we

Great days, just missed the euro days but older brother remembers it well.

I went to wembly five times in the late eighties. Proper times !

Good old days remember when I was about 8-9 and my dad took me to see forest to play Liverpool my dad at the time was a Liverpool fan and me a forest fan we stood at the forest end surrounded by forest fans and all of i sudden I shouted my dad supports Liverpool he got some looks and I got a clip round the heat on the way out of the ground I thought to myself that will learn u for supporting Liverpool lol

26.) 25 Jan 2015

I was a Villa fan, not sure why really.
my best mate at school supported them, probably because they won the euro cup in 82. I liked Peter Withe and loved the kit too - it was the Le Coq Sportiff one, all Claret with the blue trims down the side.

My Dad would take me to Villa / Forest games when he could. Forest always seemed to thrash a poor Villa team back then, I remember going to a Weds night game at Villa park in my dad's Vauxhall Viva. 0 - 5 Trevor Christie hatrick - long ride home.

my brother begrudgingly took me to a home game, it would be around 87 / 88.

As we were standing in the Zoo pen in the Trent End I was under strict instructions to show no Villa allegiances. Forest were sublime that day, it was a Clough team materclass. Forest won 4 - 1 - they could have had ten.

By the time the forth went in I was cheering for Forest and never looked back.

thereafter me, my brother and a gang of friends followed them home and away for many years. Forest games were a huge part of our social lives growing up I had some great times and have some special memories that I will take to the grave.

I'll never forget going to Southend, we arrived on the Thursday night pitched the tent and hit the town, we never went back to the tent until the Sunday night. Anyone who went will I'm sure have the same fond memories and will know what I mean - anyway enough said!

Looks like West Brom are using Antonio to push through the signing of Wigan wing man Callum McManamum as they had a second bid of 4 million turned down last week. Now close to getting CM.

i am all for stability guys and like a previous post said you still need the right person at the helm when alls said and done and the fact is we have spent millions and gone about 3-4 years backwards in my opinion we have no shape discipline and defensivly we are a shambles and for all those that say give him time that's fine if were getting gradual progression the only thing we are getting is gradually WORSE! what about watfords situation i will use them as a exsample spent less there manager has no exsperience in english football and also he came in after the season started yet there going ok how many people hand on heart can actually say they firmly believe we will be a better side next year with stuart in charge? he just hasn't got it guys and for all you're patriotism he's not got a clue on how to build a team had it of been sean o driscol or a paul hart i would be quite happy to sit and give time because people like those guys actually played football and on the pitch win or lose you could actually see what they was trying to do but stuart in my opinion just hasn't got it and never will and that's a real shame
