Middlesborough are said to be preparing a bid for Britt to test Forests expectations of the transfer fee. It would be a huge shame to see him leave and our attacking arsenal would be a lot weaker for it. However, if MW is given the money to reinvest and Cumminings comes good, it could be a very good tactical move.

If we do not have to sell, and he does not want to leave we should keep him. BA has a long contract with us and with his natural talent, along with Middlesbrough's parachute payments if he wants to leave then we should demand a unrealistic fee that makes Middlesbrough think several times before going through with the deal, if at all.

We'll be in big trouble if we let britt go.
Other than millwall and Barnsley the first two months fixtures are tough and we'll need his goals.

Funny old world isn't it m, Britt came back from injury and was slated by many for being sluggish and not putting a shift in now we must keep him at all costs. some fans views seem to change like the wind.

UTF I'm sure the fans you are talking about never expected BA to come back as if he had never been injured. BA however at times looked as interested in playing as a Chess Master would be playing Tiddlywinks. He has already got himself in shape, add to that his natural talent and the fact MW had time to see his strengths, and weakness last season, they now feel he is worth keeping hold of if his heart and mind are to play for Forest.

Be under no illusions without Britts goals we will struggle. Cummins is no replacement. He is another Billy Sharp who offers little outside the box and will take time to step up to the Championship plate!

The only ones that slated him didn't understand how bad the injury was.
Years ago he'd have been finished.
Hes worked his way back and last season he was always going to get niggles and loss of form now and then, but he showed his quality by ending up top scorer even so.
The lad is class, a goalmachine and judging by the pictures of him, he's ready for a full season.
Got to keep him at all costs.

By the looks of it Cummings is a box player so unlikely he'll be playing alongside Britt. So is he BA's understudy or replacement? I think we'll keep Britt until xmas. if we're nowhere but he's fit and scoring we'll sell. At the minute I don't think we'd get any more than £10m for him because of his injury record. If he's fit and scores 12-15 by xmas we might get £20m. I think he's worth hanging on to considering his potential value and value to our team obviously.

Gazza Red, I get what your saying, though it's a huge gamble. would hate to see Britt smashing them in for Boro, and Cummings struggling with us, let's hope he stays, at least if Cummings is struggling, we can rely on hopefully a fit Britt! COYRS!

I'll admit UTF, I was one of them, out of pure frustration as we were heading towards league one, he looks lean and keen now so if he plays as well as he looks I'll be well pleased!

We must keep Britt. Yeh he looked sluggish at times last season. He was still coming back from an horrendous injury. But he came good on last game.
Rumours saying he looks lean and fit for this season.
So we must keep him.
With all the crap going on at Leeds if have liked us to of put a bid in for wood. Scored bout 25 last season.
Don't think Cummings will amount to much. I'd score goals in Scotland lol.
More urgent is a centre back and centre midfielder like leadbitter.

I posted on here back end of last season that I doubted Britt could ever get back to what he was and i'm happy to admit that he's well on the way to making me eat a huge slice of humble pie.

In the same post I referred to the fact that I did not agree at all with a fair amount of cheering when he was substituted which must have stung him.

Obviously we shouldn't sell him if it can be avoided but the words of the chairman about difficult decisions echo in my mind.

If he does have to go i'm sure it will be for a fair old wedge of a fee and he will no doubt double his wages at the fountain of gold known as premier league prize, parachute money which is not sour grapes from me its just the way that life in the championship is.

All I want this season is some stability which I hope Mr Warburton can give us and I think we have to put our trust and hopes in his and the new hierarchy's hands.

For the first time in god knows how long the ground is being properly cared for and will look a picture coming over the Trent ( until Milwall arrive anyway ) and there is a feelgood factor about the place.

The number of season tickets sold is an indication of what's happened over the past few so roll on August and COYR.
