Posters are suggesting different figures should Warburton end up selling Britt but it is certain he will get the upmost for him.

I have faith that McPharland, and Warburton are negotiating hard to do just that.

Some have said Warburton advertised Britt when saying every player has a price, i believe that is when negotiations had already started.

I think he was always going to go in order for Warburton to spend what he needs to get the rest of the players he wants in.

i agree, the forwards they signed were for small money too so to get a replacement for britt we may not have to spend huge money, meaning we could sign a replacement and maybe one or two other players and still have some cash left over to make sure we are ok with ffp rules. were we to spend a lot of money on another striker though i'd like to see us try and get afobe. he's not done great at bournemouth but should we offer them the 10mil they spent on him they might accept with them already having defoe, king, wilson and mousset ahead of him in the pecking order.

My money is on lasse vibe from brentford won't cost the earth and is in the final year of his contract but might be a little old for a warbo signing but think he would do a job for us.

What would be the point in spending all of the Britt money on another forward, like Afobe? The main reason Britt is going is because we need the money. If we didn't need the money we wouldn't be selling Britt.

The "vibes" aren't good on that one. 😂😂😂😂.

i don't remember saying spend all the money. i said if we could spend A LOT OF the money such as 10 mil on a striker. i also said that we should leave some of the money over to fall within ffp rules. in afobe there is a striker who has scored 20 goals a season rather than could score 20 a season. afobe has also played 46 games in one league season compared to britts best of 32. so afobe plays more, scores more, brings more to the team than just goals, and could probably be brought with some left over cash as well for ffp.

that we could, sorry, not if we could.

Nffc99 doesn't matter we won't spend 2million on a striker or any other player, we are bargain basement shopping.
Just hope Warburton knows what he's doing?

In the championship adobe scored a goal every 204 mins to britts one every 147 mins.
Britt played 69 games in the championship scoring 30 goals whilst adobe played 86 games scoring 26!
I'm no mathematician but to me this means britt scores more as he's played 17 games less but scored 4 more goals.

Good stats utf but we both know it ain't happening anyway.

i understand we are buying bargains but all i said was that if we were to spend a large amount of the money on a striker i would like it to be afobe. i know we need money for ffp but surely not rnough that we can't spend a decent amount on a quality striker. if we did get 17mil and spend 10 for example, would 7mil jot be enough, surely we don't need that much.

11.) 15 Jul 2017
14 Jul 2017 22:29:42
We don't need money now for ffp.
It's probably know we're near your figures and it's not just strikers, we won't be spending on defenders or midfielders as well.
We are buying and selling for the future.
Let's hope it works.

What's not happening? britt leaving or afobe coming?

13.) 15 Jul 2017

Afobe shouldn't cost 10m. He hasn't stepped up in prem.
But is good in championship so 6m might get him.

utf the talk about afobe just came from me saying i would be pleased if we signed him if britt left. there is no rumours or links it just came from my opinion.

Go get a league 1 or league 2 gem for £500k and sell him for £10m in 2 years

Do not spend £10m on anyone that's madness in the days of FFP.

Omar Bogle would be relatively cheap and looked sharp in the championship. Worth a gamble in my opinion.
I don't believe we are selling Britt to raise cash, I believe the player wants to go.

17.) 15 Jul 2017
15 Jul 2017 10:20:19
We don't need gambles tho. if he wants a 23 man squad we don't need gambles in there. we already signed two gambles.

18.) 15 Jul 2017
15 Jul 2017 10:36:42
I'd sign afobe for 5m plus add ons games goals promotion ect. He's down pecking order so could be available.
Wish warburton would get on with signing a central defender and central midfielder. These are a priority.

19.) 15 Jul 2017
15 Jul 2017 10:43:54
Red dog, when did Bogle look sharp?

When on the pitch 2star?
I wasn't referring to his hair cut.

29 man squad on official site as it stands and I think we won't see a centre back coming in, think MW will work with what he has.
Maybe a young midfielder and a young striker if britt goes and goalie to replace stojkovic.
Not saying that's what I would like but what I think will happen.

I watched a Cherries v Southampton game in the pub last season and all the Bournemouth fans were slating Afobe and couldn't wait too get rid, so no thanks.

23.) 15 Jul 2017
15 Jul 2017 11:32:56
just because he may not be good enough for bournemouth that doesn't mean he's not good enough for us.

Ginger that pub is their ground.
😂😂😂😂.

Still can't believe that we didn't try to sign Ricky Miller from Dover earlier in the year, he's a goal machine at lower league football but Peterborough signed him. He scored 42 goals last season. Peterborough signed him for 250,000. I reckon a 500,000 offer may get him off them.

26.) 15 Jul 2017
15 Jul 2017 14:18:12
So you base it on one game? lol.
Love Marco, i'd but him for 5 mill! i bet you would but Bournemouth would want more so how would that one work?

27.) 15 Jul 2017
15 Jul 2017 14:25:18
lol, I can't keep up with their ground, gold sands, dean court, vitality stadium?

If its is a pub maybe 'The Bang it' Inn?

28.) 15 Jul 2017

Sharp or not he's goals to games ratio at Wigan is poor.

29.) 15 Jul 2017
15 Jul 2017 15:28:36
I don't think we will look to spend much on a replacement. Since the rumours of teams having general interest in Britt have gathered pace all rumours of Vellios going back to Greece (which seemed almost a done deal a month or so ago) have disappeared. I truly believe him, Brereton and Cummings can step up along with maybe one relatively cheap striker signing to replace Assombolongas 14 goals a season and money can be spend in Midfield and Defence which I think is more needed.

15 Jul 2017 16:05:52
Err, that wasn't based on one game UTF, they were saying that based on the whole season, I think they had seen him play more than once:) this was with a handful of games left to go brainiac.

If you chat to people you may actually learn things:)
