I've seen on the bird site that des walkers son is in the squad on Saturday? Plays up front? Is this true?

Can't do any harm at all to give him a run out, he's scoring for fun in the youth team. The youth have done themselves proud when given a chance playing with pride and passion.

Yes it is true, been doing very well since being promoted to the U21s.

Hi Ed. this rumour is factual. He played for West Bridgford as a schoolboy and was picked up by Forest. He is still only 17yrs old but has impressed in the youth team to such an extent that he has played (and scored a few) in the under 21s. He is a potential prolific goal scorer, he is a lovely lad and is very respectful. I don't know if he will play tomorrow but I can confirm that he is in the squad. Hope that he gets a chance tomorrow his Dad will just burst with pride if he does.

{Ed034's Note - be great to give him half an hour

Pleased to hear he's better at scoring than his dad! Lol. Des only scored once. A late equaliser at the city ground - I remember it well. Nice to see some academy players given their chance in recent weeks. We have a superb academy (thank you Mr Dougherty) and we should be churning out first team players more regularly again. In SP we trust.
