ed thank you for taking the time to respond to my post much appreciated. i agree with what you say but does fawaz really need the 7m to bring in two more players that pearce says he need. another thought if we get promoted and bigger premier league sides come in for them we can get about 4 x more for them. ps. my post seems disrepectful to you (sorry) but i get fustrated when we sell our better players.

{Ed034's Note - it doesn't matter what fawaz is worth, the club still have to try and abide by the rules. There is no guarantee that we are going to get promoted, that either player won't get an injury or that they'll develop any further (unlikely I know, but there isn't).
Pearce's job is to get us promoted and he thinks this is going to help. It is his job and reputation in the line.
People are also forgetting that the final decision is the players.

Do we trust Fawaz? When SP got the job he said he would not interfere. Now look what happens.

i am a bit disappointed with the £7m for both players but let's not forget that SP isn't an idiot, i'm sure he has got clause's in the deal to bring us more money if Newcastle sell them on and maybe even if they make it into the senior England team so i'm sure its a better deal than it looks. so keep your heads up and let's destroy the league. COYR!

{Ed034's Note - sp had no dealings with this

It's not the deal for the players that's the issue! I think it's a bit of good business! It's the fact that it was done against SP's wishes and behind his back! That for me is really Worrying and doesn't bode well for the future! It seems like McCarthy&Warnock may have been right after all. I really want to trust Fawaz, and I know we'd be in a mess without his money, but he doesn't seem to able to let a Manager Manage!

{Ed034's Note - it's the fact he didn't let Pearce know for me

I agree with you 100% Ed, the bigger issue here is that it was done not only behind SP's back, but against his wishes. What happens now if Fawaz does the same thing with Lansbury? I don't want to be a doom monger but there could be real trouble looming here, and just when I was beginning to think everything in the garden was rosy!
Stuart also said he didn't want to cover up for one or two individuals' actions (or something like that) - so who's the second one?

{Ed034's Note - can't imaging fawaz would do it again
