Lascelles was the biggest let down for me last night, dropped off and was at fault for 2 goals. Terrible positioning! If you look at a few games last season he was the same. Fox was awful again and for me lars was so lazy off the ball. the only ball he chased down lead to the goal. We can see where we need cover now at least, full back and striker needs to be addressed. At least in was a cup game and nothing important.

Totally agree Mystic. Think we got a good deal offloading Lascelles. His positional play last night for the final two goals was shocking.

As others have said, special mention for Dan Harding. Played out of position and along with Osbourn was our best player last night.

Roll on Saturday.

Just been reading up on all the posts ref last nights game. Bearing in mind this site is basically all about different opinions I am absolutely gobsmacked that a couple of posters thought Lars did ok. Come on guys if that's what we've got waiting in the wings if Brit gets a knock then god help us. He's the biggest donkey I've seen for many a season. Apart from that I thought we did well and if sp had turned out our best side we would probably have won. But good to see the young lads doing well, massive learning experience for them. COYR

Was about to post exactly same observation. But now don't need to. Think Lascelles might be affected by his transfer to Newcastle? Or just not played enough this season?

Spurs fans were very complimentary about Lars. They thought he unsettled their play and was partly responsible for them panicking and mis-hitting paces. They commented if he had a bit more pace Spurs would have been in real trouble. I thought he did ok. Not Brit but did his job and held his own.

Lascelles was poor and I still have reservations about his potential. I think he's vastly overrated by most Forest fans, I'm not sorry to see him go for a decent price and think Darlow will be much harder to replace.

Felt sorry for Lars. You can't really criticize him for not tracking back and chasing the ball down. He was the lone forward and needed to lead the line not chase backwards and forwards. He's obviously a bit of a lump but I'm pretty sure SP would've asked him to stay up top and let the 5-man midfield do all the chasing.

Good performance on the whole from a second-string side. Osborn really impressed me forthe first time last night, excellent effort and work-rate from the lad. Still think he needs a bit more quality to become a real player for us though.

In the circumstances that Lars was put in I think he did a great job and caused their defence problems. Dexter did nothing after coming on.

Dexter didn't get the chance to do anything that's why he did nothing. It was all Spurs tbh the last 15 mins
