Great result yesterday and despite the non penalty decision and the own goal, we actually had some luck for a change. Let's hope we can put the "lack of confidence" issue to bed. Derby are always lauded as a footballing side, but they don't half like to hustle, foul and whinge - we won that game by standing up to them physically as much as anything else. One
game doesn't make a season but maybe after that hard earned victory the doubters will get off SP's back for a bit, even if Forest lose a couple of games. The club needs stability. Lastly, as others have remarked before me, the standard of refereeing has become pitiful. 2 good goals disallowed against Leeds, Buxton wrestling Antonio in the penalty box with a ref 5 yards away, Wes Morgan's "noseball" decision against Liverpool. surely time for video assistance? Other than handing Birmingham a penalty and looking at sub's boots, what does the 4th official do? Give him a video monitor and let him review the evidence - not for everything but for penalty claims and offside for example. How hard could that be with today's technology?

I agree mate. Particularly after watching motd last night and the Southampton lads handball and the Spurs goal disallowed for off side in his own half.
I definitely think it needs bringing in for off sides on goals etc etc. it would take about 20 seconds to check and who cares about a minimal delay in the game if the result is the right one.
Penalty decisions are a difficult one though. Lost count of the amount of times I have disagreed with others about whether it was a foul or not. I'm not sure whether penalties are too much of a subjective decision to have replays of them

Agree 100% Keeno and Swiss Red, surely the most important thing is to get each decision right. Otherwise what's the point of even having rules and coaching players all week long to win games playing to them. I just don't buy this argument that "it's all part of football". If it is then football's a c*ck up.
