The whole should Pearce have gone or not has to be looked at from a statistical point of view and from an observers point of view. You could visibly see the players collapse, they weren't playing for him and in the last home game he didn't have the passionate support that he has had in previous games. The stats explain themselves and he had to go, it was obvious. I have even heard from colleagues that Wilson said that he is the worst tactical coach he has played under - this wouldn't surprise me at all. A leader of men maybe, but tactically wise? No.

Freedman has come in at a good time with a few 'easier' games to come before the Bournemouth game. We should be picking up at least 7 points from the next 3 games if we have any chance of a 6th place finish - something that we still must be chasing.

Anyone know what is happening FFP wise with our loan situation? Can Powell come in? If so then him behind Assombalonga would be great so Antonio can move back outward with Osborn. Gardner needs to play in midfield to me, he looks class along with Tesche or Lansbury.

{Ed007's Note - I find it hard to believe Kelvin Wilson said that having worked under Neil Lennon at Celtic, his tactics were a punt up the park and tackle like a rugby player.}

Wilson who when fit can't even kick a ball straight and make very basic clearances? His performances have got nothing to do with tactics and he's in no position to criticise anyone. That's if your rumour is true, which I doubt.

You can also argue that SP just did not have any luck in his last couple of games. The third Fulham goal was a wicked deflection and Britt missed 2 sitters in the second half. The Milwall defeat was down to an individual mistake. Meanwhile DF starts off with bags of luck against Brighton with JL saving us at the end in a game we could easily have lost. I think its a real shame that SP could not have been persuaded to take the the DoF role (and not been offered it after he had been fired!)

Surprise, surprise, Wilson injured yet again. Obviously did not fancy the long journey by coach to Brighton. He has shown no interest whatsoever since returning from Celtic, and how many seperate injuries as he had. If I remember correctly he was injured and out for a long time prior to his contract ending.

{Ed007's Note - He was frozen out at Forest after he signed the pre-contract with Celtic.}

Prior to Saturday. Wilson was in decent form.

Yes Wilson was frozen out by BD but Celtic offered £250,000 in the January transfer window, but BD refused to let him go. The CE at the time Mark Arthur wanted to accept the money.
