As someone who posts very infrequently, people on here (and more widely) need to start pointing the direction of their ire at the owner.
I'm amazed how patient and even supportive people are of a man and regime that is taking this club - our club - to ruin.
I said when he was appointed that I could foresee an outcome where we became the next Portsmouth.
By the end of this season (in just 2 months time) we will probably be £95-£100m in debt. This club has averaged £20m+ of annual losses since Fawaz's arrival. It averaged losses of c£11m under ND. The debt will only get higher.
The only way this gets cleared is a) we get promoted and it happens through TV money b) Fawaz sells the club and doesn't expect the debt to be repaid, or c) we go into administration, lose 10 points etc.
I've no idea which is more likely but I know where it is heading fastest.
Are any of us surprised by today's decision? You may not have rated DF but he seemed a good man, had brought in some good loans and the club had stabilised. He had a certain honour to him which we so badly needed.
The pantomime isn't funny any more. The soap opera is our club not someone else's.
Before you all say 'well who will buy it', 'don't annoy Fawaz', 'he was there when we needed him' won't you all just get some guts and put our club at the centre of your thoughts.
The outlook for our club is bad and getting worse. this is not some billionaire with an unlimited chequebook. He appears to be someone who gets an annual allowance as part of a very wealthy family. He may love the club. but this may all end very badly I suspect.
As someone who has supported the club for 30+ years and been to more than a dozen away games every season, what is happening breaks my heart.
For those of you who can't see it, open your eyes. its happening!
See you the other side.

You know what they say watch what you wish for just look what happened now if it all goes down hill now a bit disappointed that df did not get a chance to spend some money.

I take back all the bad things I ever said about you 5th to 8th, a great post and food for thought for everyone I think.

I think Formerly 5th to 8th's analysis is spot on. DF has probably done the best he could within stringent financial restrictions. The problem lies with an owner who failed to head off FFP penalties in the first place, has allowed the club to gain a reputation for unreliability with regard to payments and has failed to build and maintain a stable and robust management structure.
Binky Huckerback.

I don't take back all I said about 5th-8th at all, but the sentiment of the post is good and at least it's an opinion he has held for some time and been consistent with. I'm not quite as negative around the owner but even the most staunch fawaz supporter has to look at things and say that the only constant in every single negative over the last few years has been him. I think the future is very uncertain unfortunately.

{Ed003's Note - will you get over friggin 'negative' it's an opinion whether it's positive or negative - it's like forest fans are determined by negative - ffs I'd ban the word tbh!! just say what you friggin think(within reason ;) }
