I hope Fulham beat Villa today. I like their style of football and the way they've quietly gone about their business. Unlike Steve Bruce who's inflated ego could do with a reality check.

I think what you refer too is part and parcel of being winner - which Bruce is. I agree thought Fulham are advocates of a better way of getting to the prem and it’s nice that wolves did it playing football as well

Sutton red85 with the greatest of respect mate they aren't “winners” or they wouldn’t be scrambling about in the playoffs the difference between warnock and villa is villa had the advantage of the ludicrously unfair parachute payments, and given the money they spent should have been able to play a more entertaining brand of football

Stevie f you took the words right out of my mouth. I have no admiration for Steve Bruce, he's never competed on a level playing field. Villa have had the pick of the best players available, so too did Hull and Birmingham when he took them up. He's arrogant and we'll find out his real personality trait when he's loses today. (hopefully)

Equally as many fail with the parachute payments, it’s not a given that’ll you’ll succeed. It takes guile and expertise to get promoted. I’m no Bruce fan but he’s done a good job for plenty of clubs. Totally agree that a Fulham victory is much better for football overall.

Can,t see many Prem. Clubs agreeing there ,Villa much bigger club than Fulham ,more attractive fixture any day ,bigger traveling fans ,Fulham less attractive than us but obviously been better run and managed over the years no more London clubs thanks ,Midlands club for me!

Getting brum promoted twice and having a 10th and 12th place finish with themin the prem isn’t winning?i will take that at forest any day of the week!
Same with Warnock 8 promotions under his belt and people aren't happy with his “football style” lol.

So fulham beat the villa fulham played well deserved it i don't know what villa do now grealish is a great player wonder if they will sell him to raise funds? However our very own henri lansbury nowhere to be seen wonder if they regret signing him wouldn't want him back for the trickies

Fulham back in the prem. Victory for the football purists. A manager given the time and opportunity to recruit & build a competitive squad prevails against an expensively assembled side that fails to deliver when it matters. Villa will be facing financial restrictions next season. That'll test Steve Bruce's resolve assuming he stays.
