The championship even after 5 games is sorting itself out. I am away so missed the Brum game. Two nil down at half time at home against a side than was winless is poor. That is two more goals conceded and this was a problem last season. Ak has a wealth of riches in defence and surely this Newcastle match is one to as a first aim keep a clean sheet . A drubbing will be a very bad result with away games at Brentford and Swansea after . I an not a betting man but the likelyhood of being unbeaten is very small. I am worried that we don't seem to be playing as a unit and I am not sure why. So once more I feel the team morale is brittle and we could easily enter a winless streak next . We have all seen this before and we know what happens next . Stability is so important and that is why we see the top group . Derby have a new manager but a similar squad that have been in the playoffs almost routinely. Leeds also have a team that is long established and not been relegation fighters as we have . What I want to see is us beating teams that are poorer than us well! Reading we scraped a win as it seems a draw against Brum both not good sides. As others have said AKs win ratio needs a lot of improvement so this week even though it's onky August could be turn around time or doom and gloom by Sunday.

Good morning.
Having read posts on here it seems there are 2 camps for ak and those against.
Brereton is on his way and as someone stated was this to offset the grabben deal?
Yes I'd say it was.
Is grabben injured or does he not want to be part of our Team or has he lost confidence?
Letting a young England player go to a rival team will bite us on our backsides.
I'd give senor karanka until mid September and if no results are returned ie more draws or losses marinakis will pull the trigger.
As we are aware ak was heavily funded to buy 3 stooges and I will lose this term loosely a prolific championship striker.
I don't want to see managers come and go but if you are underachieving and the football you are playing is not up to standard I'm afraid something has to give.
We need a leader on and off the pitch.
A manager with a sullen lost look about him is no good to us.
We need one who will bark orders and show passion to his team and fans.
I was all for karanka but I'm afraid for me he's definitely not the one.

I agree, i think that if results don't improve by the end of Sept AK will be gone. The defence on Saturday were poor, Figuerido's passing was dreadful, Fox and Robinson were like 2 wandering minstrels. I'd like to see Dawson and Hefele at CB and maybe Fox at LB. Start with Osborn and Cash and play with 2 up front (1 + Lolley) especially at home.
