Irrespective of what happens in the remainging games i am hoping we get to the season end with no sackings. Like most I am bewildered by the slide and apparent loss of enthusiasm and co-operation on the pitch. But all was not happy under AK towards the end with rumours around Grabban and upstairs maonouvering. The club and not just Martin needs to realise that we have a huge mish mash of a squad. A combination of merceneraies, players brought in that were unattsched and unfit. Youth that has not reached the potential promised, including yates, cash and osborn. You only have to look at our quality of keepers? Our so called no1 is still flat footed and cannot command his box and crosses to him are religeous things.
Form is temporary and class permenant. Can anybody on here hand on heart see any class in this squad? Class in talent and attitude. We have one or two the right tools but all have been at other clubs and let go for a reason. Lolley Grabban, yacob and colback.
I don't think another season of clearout and rebuilding is going to get us promoted that sort of thing rarely happens unless you have the nucleous of a decent squad. Even Robinson ran his contract down and left QPR, we thoight we had a player but are his off field antics hindering him again, is he right for forest? Tgecone player we had who was asked to play multiple positions and showed the fighting attitude was fox. We could do with a dozen more like him.
Martin may realise that this job is a bridge too far and walk as he promised that he will leave at the end of his contract if we were not promoted. Well one season to go and reality says its not possible as we are light years from a settled squad or team. Having said that i think keane is being primed to take over from martin in due course. Just a thought.
So this next few weeks are crucial in deciding which way the club wants to go. We either believe in Martin and he us, or we go down the road of hope and a prayer of cutting off the head of the beast and bringing in another managerial team that will still be faced with same issues and making more desperate signings only to find the roads lead to the same dead end.
If ever we need a solution its in the continuity of martin and his clarity of thought. It may not be perfect but its better than the other dreadful scenario.

Rutland , the issue I have is there seems no answer to the question of who next. Like I said yesterday expectation is the root of most disappointment - there is a message in there somewhere.

Rutland. Great post by the way.
Keane won’t stay here mate , too much pride to take the criticism that he hurled at them. Disgraceful really when you think back to 92/93 when Keane played in every position that season and displayed warrior like tendencies in desperate attempt to keep us up whilst the majority of the rest of the team hid behind cloughies bottle.

Some of us fans respect the players who began their careers and then had glittering careers elsewhere, the past of the club isn’t just about those players and a manager who created a miracle over 3 seasons. That said almost predictably the s*** stirring about Keane is well under way.

2 star the way i see it. Either mon and keane are wrong. Marikinakis is wrong or we are wrong. Maybe the squad is wriong???. Personally their is a lot wrong. However MON has the pedigree, maybe not in style but can be trusted to get the job done. He is not stupid and he will accept any blame coming his way. A change at the helm is not the answer. This squad is like an over burdened tanker trying to turn labouriously in a storm. It will take a lightening of the load and a determined skipper to get us through the storm. I can think of few better than MON who would willingly come to the club unless promised cash who could turn things around. So give the cash and control to oneil as half the job is already done in sussing out the characters and planning thst MON will already be under way with. He will not be waiting for the season end to start the job. That is why chsnging now would have wasted the months that Martin has invested in OUR future.

All fans want to see the Manager who ever it might be succeed but the football and the selections have been dire and if they don’t have the belief of the players there on a hiding to nothing, yes we can sell and rebuild but we’ve been doing that for umpteen years now,

There doesn’t seem to be a structure at the club and we need a team who all sing off the same hymn sheet who run the club as well as the players wearing the shirt and represent the reds, then we can be successful, that’s why I keep harping on about there needs to be proper leader at the top who can communicate and listen.

Billy Davis was the last Manager who actually got the best out of his side but got stabbed in the back, and it’s been happening ever since. Karanka started something and you could see glimpses and the same thing happened,
So when people spend there hard earned money to support this club of ours and get the same bull year on year you can appreciate why there’s so many disgruntled fans.
