Eric having a 😷 today and expected to sign for Hull with 24 hours.

Win at all costs

19 Jun 2018 20:19:32
How true it is i can not say but i have seen that Hull have agreed terms with Eric, but can not agree a fee with Forest, the fee Forest want is Β£400,000.

I can not figure out how they are thinking, Eric although never sensational he is a consistent decent experienced Championship defender with a year left on his contract, and they do not think he is worth Β£400,000.

Max Clark has very little Championship experience has let his contract run out and they want Β£1m in compensation.

Win at all costs

1.) 19 Jun 2018 21:23:58
It's called business win.
Both sides playing hard ball and trying to get the best deal.
Leave it to the money men,If it happens it happens if it don't? Then move on to the next target.

2.) 19 Jun 2018 21:34:30
They have seem our owner splash the cash so they now think that they can take the mick! Allam is your archetypal businessman!

3.) 19 Jun 2018 21:52:16
Sgetty,Your name is bad enough to spell without you spelling PayPal wrong?πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„

4.) 19 Jun 2018 22:09:37
Ff, asking for Β£400,000 for Eric is hardly playing hard ball by Forest in my opinion but i understand your point.

5.) 19 Jun 2018 23:27:38
To date, the owner hasn't splashed any cash, we have a loan player, a freebie and Carvalho whos 13m transfer is being paid over 5 years, so just under 3m per year.

6.) 20 Jun 2018 01:30:12
Considering that Hull are still receiving parachute payments, in the scheme of things Β£400,000 isn't much.

7.) 20 Jun 2018 05:57:49
Gazzared so do you think every other club pays big transfer fees in one hit then?think you’ll find most transfers are paid in instalments,if some on here were around when the water into wine miracle was done they’d be complaining about the vintage!

8.) 20 Jun 2018 08:05:45
Stevie - I think you've misunderstood my point. Sgetty made the point that we've splashed the cash, but in reality that isn't true. If anything well done Marankis for doing sensible business.

9.) 20 Jun 2018 09:50:04
Gazzared. I think you may have misunderstood my point. I was trying to look at things from the perspective of Mr Allam

10.) 20 Jun 2018 10:43:36
And Mr Allan won't be stupid enough to think that Forest have just gone out and spent 13m on one player outright. So he has no reason to believe we are "splashing" any cash.

11.) 20 Jun 2018 11:25:16
Gaza merely pointing out that according to your post nobody is splashing the cash unless all the money is paid upfront, whereas I believe that is not normal in the game

12.) 20 Jun 2018 12:05:17
Stevie f, i may be wrong but i think GazzaRed is trying to say, as the cost of the Portuguese lad will be spread over his five year contract and he is the only expensive player we have signed then we have not splashed the cash as such, it is not as if we have brought in 4,5,or 6 expensive players in, not as yet anyway.

13.) 20 Jun 2018 12:35:15
You're right Stevie, think we're getting wires crossed, definitely normal in the game nowadays to spread costs over many months or even years in the case of Carvalho. Its very clever business as only 3m max has been paid out for the player to Benefica until next year so if the move does not work out, we're still well within FFP and can sell him on and pay all, if not the majority of the money owed to benefice. So what seems like a big transfer fee, the transfer itself is quite low risk.

14.) 20 Jun 2018 12:38:49
Im with team Stevie on this one :)

15.) 20 Jun 2018 17:01:36
Surely as a club we have more spending power than we have had for a few years and prospective vendors will be aware of this and as a consequence will attempt to over inflate their asking price for players they are looking to sell to us.

16.) 21 Jun 2018 10:06:17
2tone does that make you gangsters?

19 Jun 2018 09:47:17
Hull want Β£1m for Clark in compensation, Eric for Max or no deal?

Win at all costs

1.) 19 Jun 2018 11:34:12
Might be worth taking it to a tribunal

2.) 19 Jun 2018 17:50:16
I think that there was mention of tribunal when the possibility of a transfer was first reported.

3.) 19 Jun 2018 20:42:43
should be a bit of leverage with Lichaj’s imminent departure to Hull. I understand Forest are looking for Β£400,000

19 Jun 2018 09:38:16
Bouch has been training with our owners other team.

Win at all costs

1.) 19 Jun 2018 12:51:55
Probably wants to get a couple of weeks pre pre-season training in before we start. He prob knows that up until Jan will be his last chance saloon.

18 Jun 2018 17:44:31
McKay being linked to Reading, i would not want him going to another Championship club.

Win at all costs

1.) 18 Jun 2018 21:23:55
He is a Clement type of player but Reading do not have the players to allow him to have a free role. He is not cut out for the Championship season so it makes no difference as to where he goes as he has been rumbled?

2.) 18 Jun 2018 21:34:10
He'll prove you wrong red and we are making a mistake letting him go.
But in krankie you believe,so no problem,he can't possibly be wrong?

3.) 18 Jun 2018 22:13:11
McKay is a fairy. Too lightweight and goes missing in a match as soon as he gets kicked. Cash in.

4.) 18 Jun 2018 22:17:44
Idle moody useless get rid

5.) 19 Jun 2018 00:04:26
Short memories. He looked very good to me. Young and lost confidence after a bad game but don't you dare talk about lightweight to me. Messi, Modric, Maradonna and so on are all smaler players. Stop chattin' nonsense.

6.) 19 Jun 2018 08:05:59
One bad game? I agree though I’d prefer to see him loaned out for half a season and see what happens. There are defo players I’d sell before him.

7.) 19 Jun 2018 10:36:08
Mckay is a lazy player.
Not worthy of a forest shirt.
Send the lightweight Scot to Rangers.

8.) 19 Jun 2018 13:40:50
Red cyclist maradonna lightweight really?? He may not have been very tall but was built like a tank! Never thought is would be mentioning him and McKay in the same post!

9.) 19 Jun 2018 14:11:08
He isn’t lightweight and if he gets a manager who kisses his arse and bigs his ego he will do well as has skills but he is a big time Charlie and when his ego isn’t pampered he loses interest and is lazy. Under Warburton who I think made a point to not just ply him in key role but also pamper him he performed but Karanka won’t do that and too right in my opinion, I don’t think in this league you can rely too much on one player it has to be a team effort.

10.) 19 Jun 2018 19:56:15
Surprised he isn’t being linked with warbo surley he would take him!

11.) 20 Jun 2018 00:25:36
Many Rangers fans pointed out McKay's faults which have been spot on in his time with us. He is undoubtedly gifted but does not seem to have the desire to be a top player week in week out. No point in hanging on to him if he cannot step up to the plate?

1.) 23 Jun 2018 20:06:00
Pretty soon we'll be Portugal PLC lol.

2.) 23 Jun 2018 20:49:42
Just the signing we need ? Another midfield player?
Collback and marney next?
Just in case we get some injuries, bit thin on the ground in midfield.lol

3.) 23 Jun 2018 21:00:47
Ff, who is he going to replace, will he be better than that player, when July starts which midfielders will be leaving, if any. There is a long way to go to the end of this transfer window, a lot of twists and turns possibly to come.

4.) 23 Jun 2018 23:21:45
All I will say is Warhol got slaughtered for buying midfield players when it was obvious we needed a goalie a left back or two,
Strikers .
And we're still signing midfielders ??
Makes no sense ??
But when you you play the lone ranger maybe it does???
What I will say is he rates brereton highly and I'm hoping he's got it right.

5.) 23 Jun 2018 23:38:36
Or even warbo??
That gremlin again always knows better??πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

6.) 24 Jun 2018 05:33:08
I always thought Warhol was an artist?
Hmmmm

7.) 24 Jun 2018 08:28:00
--ss artist.

8.) 24 Jun 2018 08:49:57
HISS artist?

9.) 24 Jun 2018 10:41:08
Please change the negativity record. We can only sign the players in the order the deals land. It's not like picking a squad from 1 to 24 on your Xbox!
Plenty more to come and go before AK is done.
Good full backs and strikers are the prize assets which are bound to take a little longer. Any top striker will now fancy a move to us now he can see the creativity and pace to provide service.

22 Jun 2018 13:03:52
So it has been said that Messi is burned out, and crumbled under the strain of trying to carry Argentina, poor baby.

He gets paid handsomely at club level, dictates to his club what to do aswell as having tons of experience at both top club and international level yet is burned out.

Brereton represents his country at youth level but has little experience and was expected to carry Forest last season, the Championship is more physically demanding yet do you read him being burned out.

Sarah Clapson has written about Eric looking likely to sign for Hull, in part of it she has written the manager is hoping to side a right back, instead of sign a right back, so even those that should know better make mistakes.

That makes me feel a whole lot better win at all costs??
At least we've got an excuse at our age? Fat fingers and little keys on our phones, not to mention the little gremlins inside the phone who decide to change the word you "right"?lolπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒ

Yates is a academy player? Lam, where is he at the moment? Clough was loaned to Bolton so will either be loaned or sold, wages might be a problem? Ward loaned to Cardiff, doubt anyone will buy but will be loaned if not, wages might be a problem. Grant loaned out to? So will be sold, if not plenty of takers for loan. Bouchalakis is training with Olympicia, been told not wanted, so will leave? McKay was in talks with Olympicia, chickened out, so will see out contract, ir loaned. Geddy will continue to be a squad player? Lolly will thrive with the service he will now get. Osborn will be a his usual jack of all trades. Cash a squad player.

I personally think Bererton will not feature as much in the new season, i read somewhere that the Β£13m player can play up front as well as in midfield. We keep being told that it is not until the beginning of July before players contracts change,or finish so if the manager is looking for a proven striker, or strikers then it makes sense that the manager will wait till then, although enquiries we will be ongoing. Players coming in could depend on their clubs finding replacements first. The players that the manager does not want will struggle to get the same wages elsewhere so most will dig their heels in, in the hope we will pay them off then find a new club rapidly.

Fbb, Marriott may not be the managers first choice but Fry has said our manager has spoken to his manager, so there is a interest in him. I agree he is being over valued, but you can not blame them for that.

Carlo, people are just trying to get rid of the players the manager seems not to want. Who is to say their agents would not want them at Peterborough, untill you try you do not know, Peterborough were only 7 points off the play offs last season.
