Chris O'Gady has joined Burton on loan. Phew!

brummie-red

1.) 16 Jul 2016 16:54:50
Yeh and scored a brace against a strong stoke side lol. Coyr.

2.) 17 Jul 2016 16:57:52
That's his quota for the season mate!

06 Jul 2016 10:32:54
Anyone know how close Pinillos is to full fitness, or is he in pre season training? Big season for him if fit!

brummie-red

1.) 06 Jul 2016 13:00:35
Best LB we've had since pearce.

2.) 06 Jul 2016 13:48:01
He is back in training and hoping to be fit for the new season.

3.) 06 Jul 2016 13:50:28
What about Alan "Tank" Rogers brilliant in his first spell.
But best we've had since with the exception of Ryan Bertrand on loan.

4.) 06 Jul 2016 14:52:34
Thanks burncross, that's awesome news!

5.) 06 Jul 2016 17:17:03
Rogers terrible in both spells. Brennan the best we've had after Pearce.

6.) 06 Jul 2016 19:14:41
Bojo wasn, t half bad last season, wouldn, t say no to him coming back!
CARLO.

7.) 06 Jul 2016 20:33:50
Jim Brennan for me or Julian Bennett.

8.) 07 Jul 2016 00:21:58
I thought Shorey did a good job for us at left back.

9.) 07 Jul 2016 08:19:18
Rogers did a job but was too fat and slow. Shorey had a really good spell, where as Bertrand was bang average.

Pinillos got better as the season went on, shame he got injured. Bennett was good in League One. Agree Brennan the best since Pearce, by a long way.

10.) 08 Jul 2016 00:24:10
Bertrand by far the best LB in years, One day we may be able to hold on to / sign permanently quality players like this. Will I see that day?

11.) 08 Jul 2016 11:48:44
Bertrand was a steady championship player, at best. Obviously he has improved a lot with age and experience but nothing special with us. Shorey had a great spell with us, missed him badly in the second half of that season.

12.) 09 Jul 2016 10:37:23
Bring back back john winny winfield just saying.

27 May 2016 17:22:31
Montanier apparently offered a two year deal.

brummie-red

1.) 27 May 2016 18:17:08
Don't know an awful lot about him. any good? Also, not sure about the rest of you but this whole manager situation is dragging on too long. we will get dregs.

2.) 27 May 2016 18:35:34
Not a bad record in the French leagues, but no championship experience, Oscar Garcia would be a better choice😎.

3.) 27 May 2016 18:40:27
Agree Doncaster Red. I think we have missed a trick in not trying to appoint Pearson back in March when we got rid of Freedman. Says everything about what a shambles our club has become. we have dragged our feet and meanwhile more and more clubs are now looking for a new manager. It's not rocket science is it? we SHOULD have gone all out in March to get the best man available and that man was arguably Pearson. Our loss is definitely Derby's gain IMHO. The circus continues!

4.) 27 May 2016 19:52:56
You are assuming that he wanted to come to Fores? Surely he did what he felt was right and waited for the best opportunity to arise.

At this time that is Derby.

5.) 27 May 2016 19:57:05
Reports all over France that Montanier has been offered 2 year deal.

6.) 27 May 2016 20:06:13
How do you know we didn't approach Pearson in March?

7.) 27 May 2016 20:32:59
Never said that he wasn't approached, did I?

Said he didn't accept because he was wisely waiting for the end of season auction to begin.

8.) 27 May 2016 20:40:16
Pearson would never have come to a club as badly run as ours. Hate to say it but Derby is a better option for him, no meddling Fawaz being the main difference.

9.) 27 May 2016 21:19:17
Climb down off ya high horse no.22 I was talking to ruddyforest. Jeez I dread to think what the other 21 are like!

10.) 27 May 2016 21:38:27
Apologies but make it clear next time. ;)

11.) 28 May 2016 10:58:43
Because did Fawaz not come out and say Martin O'Neill was his first choice? Doubt that would have made Pearson feel great would it? My point is that Fawaz should not have 'named names' just got on with the job of approaching the best man available at the time Freedman was relieved of his duties. We had a 2 month head start on other clubs - ample time to get our house in order and a manager in place. In the meantime a number of clubs have got rid of their managers (Reading, Villa, Derby, potentially Leeds) and we will be competing with them now. Once again we have missed a trick and like a lot of things continue to lag behind other better run clubs.

12.) 28 May 2016 14:21:04
Fawaz and Mario will be arguing like cat and dog already. ;)

17 Jul 2014 15:21:44
Just seen SP looking at bringing Chalobah on loan. Maybe he can get something extra from him.

brummie-red

1.) Cost us a fortune last time around and produced nothing. Just getting rid of two more drains on the salary bill personally no chambolah is no better than we have alrleady. Need another skillfull winger with pace next

2.) I am sure stuart might be interested, although psycho may have to use his ATTITUDE adjuster on him. great talent, but under performed last time.

3.) I highly doubt this will happen. Even if SP wanted him, can't see him wanting to come back given what happened last season!

4.) This would be a smart move in my opinion. Clearly he never lived up to his potential with us last season but perhaps there was more to that then we know. Based on his Watford season he's worth another throw and hopefully SP can get out of him what we all know is there.

5.) No thanks. He looked like he thought he was to good to be with us last time and effort levels poor. Can't see him being any different now

6.) Hope not, didn`t exactly do anything whilst he was here last time.

7.) We have got rid of two trouble makers, that caused discord in the squad, if Chalobah is of the same ilke, than no thank you.

Played brilliant for Watford, but never looked interested in playing for us, to be fair never really given a chance and we did have a manager who even when he had square pegs for square holes he still banged in round ones.

This time we have a manager with no unfinished business, just wants to get us back in the Premiership.

8.) If SP wants him and he comes back then well and good. SP gives players a clean slate to prove themselves. My Watford supporting friend said he couldn't recall anytime at Watford when he was disruptive and he impressed.

9.) Oh please no!

The team would not even celebrate his goals with him last season!

10.) Maybe he could play in his proper position more often this time around instead of playing right-mid in a diamiond (for some reason!).

11.) Doubt it very much

Bird site suggesting Jara has gone. Can anyone confirm?
hope so!

brummie-red

{Ed034's Note - all those that are out of contract have gone, including jara

1.) Yes confirmed by NEP and others ALL out of contract players have left the club inc Matt Derbyshire.

2.) I thought Jara actually stopped playing for us before Christmas :-)

3.) 07 May 2014 15:14:06
I'm not to bothered we have not kept Derbyshire, I think there's better out there. Wats other folks opinions on it?

4.) 07 May 2014 15:46:23
He did well for 5 games (of a two year spell?). Needs to move on. No consistency, and big wages. Will move on, and score against us next season. Wish him good luck, but not right for us.

{Ed034's Note - he will end up abroad.

5.) Thank god

6.) I think when a player magically starts playing well just as his contract is up for renewal, it says a lot about him

I mean, maybe Brazil was just able to get the best out of Derbyshire. But it's pretty suspicious.

Atone the new manager post is to be filled by whoever buys the book or water bottle from the club shop that has a golden ticket inside, from Fawaz Wonka?

19 Jun 2016 16:30:27
If it is Giggs, then so be it. I'll get behind him, and definitely won't be demanding answers from the owners about the decision, but I do think we may be missing out if we don't get Neil Warnock in place.

brummie-red

1.) 19 Jun 2016 17:11:44
Agree with the Warnock bit brummie. Really hope it's someone with a bit more experience at this stage though mate.

2.) 19 Jun 2016 19:55:04
I don't really want Giggs, but I'll support him, that's what I meant. Hope it's not him!

3.) 19 Jun 2016 20:30:19
Really? Nobody wants to be behind Giggs for sloppy seconds?

Sorry for lowering the tone but I cannot believe that any sane Forest fan would want a man with no morals as our manager?

But then some would have Billy Davies back?

Remember you reap what you sow which is why we are where we are!

4.) 19 Jun 2016 21:21:24
Ffs, I don't want him, but if he gets the job then what can we do?
Forest til I die, no matter who the manager is!

17 Jun 2016 13:13:25
Nigel C spoken out about saying he should never have gone to Derby. Stoking it ahead of his unveiling as head coach at NfFc?

brummie-red

1.) 17 Jun 2016 13:48:38
Please no, not Young Clough.

2.) 17 Jun 2016 14:00:58
Hope ya right, why go with a manager from abroad when we have a decent one in nigel c or even warnock or go mad get em both.

3.) 17 Jun 2016 17:10:30
That's the headline. It actually reads, he regrets leaving Burton Albion. Much as some where saying at the time.

4.) 17 Jun 2016 18:20:57
Please no more silly talk about N Clough, he took over a good team from Hasselbank who were running away with the league and only just got them promoted, we want somebody like Warnock or a proven foreign manager, who will get us playing attractive attacking football, and before you lot start i know Warnock grinds out some boring wins but at the end of the day 3points is 3 points😀.

5.) 17 Jun 2016 20:19:30
No ex players for manager.

6.) 17 Jun 2016 20:49:33
Exactly, tried that, and failed miserably.

30 May 2016 09:01:53
Just a thought, and I'm not basing this on anything I've seen, but maybe it's feasible that the search for a manager is protracted because Warnocls already in post as DOF, and they're trying to find a head coach who will work with him?
Thoughts?

05 Aug 2014 17:46:16
If Lansbury goes, I expect Mackie (who ibthink is a class act) and Vaughan to step up to the plate!

brummie-red

{Ed034's Note - mackie plays in a different position to Lansbury though

1.) Fawaz in his Statement seems to paving the way for Lansbury to go, he still has 2 years left on his contract, why are we looking for confrontation with Lansbury now? Looking the prices for Lacelles and Darlow Lansbury will be a bargain. Has Lansbury asked for a transfer?

2.) Is Vaughan injured?

3.) Reports now that Mackie is off along with Cox to Reading!

The prospect of Britt and Austin up front is mouthwatering, and would scare many defences. Can't see him coming tho, sadly!

Shame Butland was injured, and I agree with all the above. Antonio should have gone, and DRINKWATER as opposed to Wilshire. Kane and Alli out, rooney please retire, play Rashford and Walcott when fit again.
Gutted.

Warnock preferably, but both would instill some much needed passion and belief to the club.
