jonathan greening will be a forest player tomorrow as i said on tuesday.

apparently wayne routledge may also still be coming to forest. He's not traveled with newcastles forst team to america or to the reserves side in holland, i imagine because hes in talks with a club, we shal see very soon who hes moving to i imagine

shorey will not be signing any time soon however as he played in a pre season friendly for west brom in america today

Believable10 Unbelievable5

Shorey will sign marthur has gone to america to sign him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why does shorey have no chance of signing us ?

I think a plane from the uk to america with Marther on board wouldnt be the hardest thing to achieve... we did it with robbie findley its not hard

Agree0 Disagree0

In talks with swansea

Nicky Maynards agent is talking to bristol about why they have rejected offers for the player, Source sky sports News. But what they did not tell you was this nicky Maynard will be unvailed as a nottingham forest player tomorrow along with Jonathan greening. Also hear this Mark Arthur has flown out to america to tie up a deal for nicky shorey, who will join the club after pre season training. Boateng will join as reported so he can show the way to some of the younger players. And the final piece of news may shock a few-Gareth southgate is being lined up to partner Steve Mcclaren along with Bryan Roy as a coach.

Believable12 Unbelievable7

God i wish this was true, cant see it happening though

Agree0 Disagree0

Southgate has a full time youth development job and mark arther is in sunderland

Agree0 Disagree0

Gareth southgate has a cushy development job at the FA so won't be joining but there may be some truth in Bryan roy

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh its true its on news now forest

In January 2011, Southgate was confirmed as the FA's head of elite development, working alongside Sir Trevor Brooking[17]

McClaren will walk by close of business on Friday if no signings are made. You heard it first here

Believable6 Unbelievable11

I'm sick ov this situation but that ain't gonna happen

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree.the board have let us all down theve had mcclaren over big time

Agree0 Disagree0

I wouldn t blame him We re a top Championship side with an average first division wallet by the looks of things, The fans deserve way more

Agree0 Disagree0

Wouldn't blame him at all if he did.
The silence coming from the City Ground is deafening.
This is the biggest shambles to the start of a season I have ever witnessed in my 50 years following Forest. I don't blame McClaren for this at all, taxi please for messrs Doughnut & Marther

Agree0 Disagree0

Taxi for a man who has got us out of the crap with his investment? Respect 2 ur 50 yrs following forest but u r speaking rubbish Admittedly marthur can b a clown with signings but mcclaran is going nowhere trust me n u also heard that here 1st

Agree0 Disagree0

Who can blame him really, the way forest is being run is pathetic its time we ridded the David pleats etc. You don't here alex Ferguson being told who he can and cannot buy

Agree0 Disagree0

Its shockin and i also wouldnt blame him , apparently some fans are gunna hold a green shirt season long protest , i hope it catches on cause our board are the pitts

Agree0 Disagree0

How can you compare Alex Ferguson and Man Untd's financial situation with ours?

ND is in advance talkt sell the club, meetings with the council to purchase the CG are well underway and have been since the failed WC bid, ND knows other then the team there ae very little assets with the club, ST was already lined up to take over from BD and was part of the package... but you are wrong if ou think its the Americans he are buy us... they are Canadians...

Believable8 Unbelievable10

Crusty the clown would do for me Just get out Doughty you conman

Agree0 Disagree0

The man has sunk millions in to the club, he had the chance on more then one occasion to push the club to the prem... he either bottled it or decided he was not big enough to play with the big boys... if you look at our beloved club we would have the be the poor relations, no club in the prem would have a owner with so limited amount of cash

Agree0 Disagree0

You can't even spell your bulls**t right let alone make it believable

DEARIE ME

Agree0 Disagree0

You lot know jackSh*t about who's buying the club

And forest's assets are :

45 million = players and staff
15 million fixed assets e.g training ground ect.

40 million debt(to nigel doughty)

So it will cost someone around 100 million+ to buy out ND

Or 60 million plus 40 million put into the club. ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

45 million in players and staff.... even a die hard supporter i can not manage with rose tinted glasses and blind in one eye work out how you managed to get to 45 million.

Agree0 Disagree0

Forest debts to ND are over 60 million - I doubt ND will see the Club for less than 120 Million, so even whoever won the 160 million on the Euro won't have enough to support the club for a year with buying players we need.

Agree0 Disagree0

We are you getting the information about the City Council wanting to sell the City Ground, i am not aware of this and i work for the City Council as a senior finance officer

Stop writing this rubbish

Agree0 Disagree0

45 million Indian rupees

Agree0 Disagree0

If you are a senior finance officer for the city council you should already know, the talks have taken place on THREE occasions, once in the Ramada Hotel Grantham, they have complete different valuations on the ground and the council also want assurances that it will NOT be sold on, the Canadins mentioned have already purchase land around the city ground FACT ... something as a senior finance officer you should know as THREE of their purchase were formly property owned by the council

Just to clear up on our transfer situation:
Players rumoured in:
1. Reid signed about 1 and a half weeks ago - 2 weeks and is now and official Forest player.
2. Routledge now looks to be going/heading in Swansea's direction.
3. Maynard has been linked with us as well as a couple of other clubs like Leicester but there has been NO bid made by us, just an enquiry.
4. Tshabalala has also been linked with us even after Mclaren has come in, and he has stated himself that his preferred destination is Forest, however Mclaren doesnt seem as interested as his other targets but he hasnt ruled out a move for Tshabalala.
5. El Ahmadi has been nriefly rumored but it doesnt look like he'll come as there's hardly been talk about him, and he was just a name brought up to create a rumour.
6. Mattock has been rumored to come in aswell, stronger than Tshabalala however the LB situation has lots of names wo are potentially strong candidates for Mclaren.
7. Shorey has been the favourite, then least favourite, then favourite etc, and it's turned in a cycle but whatever happens, Roy Hodgson clearly wants Shorey to stay after stating...
"I've got great respect for Forest. I think they are going to be a major force next year."But, at the moment, I can offer Nicky Shorey Premier League football and I hope that's what he'll choose." (Source: Sky Sports News, BBC Sport Football).
8. Macheda wont come because there was no truth in the rumour in the first place as the rumour was just created because people saw Macheda as a realistic Man. United young target that Fergie would offer to Forest because Mclaren came in as the new manager.
9. Parr is a 50/50 because he is in a similar sitation to Tshabalala however Mclaren is not keen on Parr as much although, like Tshabalala, Forest is Parr's prefferred destionation. Swansea have also looked at this player without talking to him or making any sought of approach.
10. Greening has been enquired about by Forest, and it certainly seems as if thats become the number 1 realistic possible transfer target for Forest and Mclaren to capture as Routledge's house clearly seemed to go out of the window. Greening was first mention all the way back in ery early June for around £750,000.
11. Barnes has been 100% approached and Mclaren has spoken face to face with him and a contact offer was made, however fitness seems to be an issue and this rumour has somewhat seemed to have quitened down lately.
12. Jack Cork obiviously wont be coming now because as we all know, he's officially signed for Southampton. This was done and dusted about 3 or 4 days ago.
13. Zenden has been a target for Mclaren and it is in his mind, but nothing beyond talks has happened with Zenden.
14. David Jones was expected to come straight down to Forest but this rumour came from out of the blue and Mclaren never had him as a target but no-one in Forest knows if he'll come. This is another 50/50 which is slowly fading.
15. Konchesky definitely cant come because earlier today Leicester confirmed an official signing of him(not actually sure if it's on loan or permanent though).
16. Kieth Andrews was supposed to have signed for £2 million before Reid, but since Reid signed, nothing has been mentioned about this possible signing from the player himself or anyone at Forest.
17. Kris Boyd isnt wanted by Mclaren, but was strongly wanted by Davies. Now Davies has gone, it's the Board's job to recommend him and Mclaren can look at him in the way he wants to. Boys is a very very small possiblity but look pretty unlikely.
18. DJ Campbell is simply not coming, full stop. Where on earth did that ridiculous unrealistic rumour come from.
19. The race for Bertrand is probably over, but if he were to go if would depend on the various offers from the rumoured clubs interested in him (Forest, Wolves, West Brom, Bolton), plus where he himself would like to go.
20. Mclaren is strongly interested in Wesley Verhoek who is one of the current great prospects of Holland. He's 24 similar to Parr in terms of his playing style, but no appraoch has been made, however MCLAREN HAS LOOKED AT HIM as a target.
21. Don Cowie was rumoured to come staright in for £3 million pounds a day or so after Mclaren came in, however it may hae been a rumoured deal that was just carried on after Davies' departure and it may just have been Davies interes, not Mclaren. This seems the case as nothing has been mentioned since then.
22. Danny Guthrie was rumoured but nothing more was mentioned about possible contract deals etc.
23. Ashley Westwood from Crewe for £600,000 (same as Don Cowie - rumour 21).
24. Kane Ferdinand (cousin of Anton and Rio), has been linked with Forest but thats it. West Ham looked at him, but the rumour has, as expected, disapperead as he was just one of those young stars coming through being looked at by bigger clubs.

Players out:
1. Earnshaw has gone to Cardiff.
2. Tyson has gone to Derby.
3. Paul Mckenna has gone to Hull.
4. Dele Adebola has also gone to Hull.
5. Young Rodney joined Bradford City earlier today.
6. Lee Camp is a serious Swansea target even after Swansea have signed a keeper from Benfica. Swansea have also been interested in David Stockdale from Fulham, and Watford keeper Scott Loach.
7. If the rumour about the cash and Mcgoldrick exchange for Maynard is still on, then Mcgoldrick could possibly head to Bristol City, but that would only be if the deal was still on, otherwise he is staying.
8. A Month or so ago, Stoke and Everton were strongly looking at Moussi, but the chance of him signing for them has died down, and now there is slight interest rumoured from Derby.
9. Paul Smith wont go to Middlesbrough anymore, that was confirmed by both clubs around more than a month ago.

This is it from what I can remember at best.

For me, this IS THE REALISTIC SITUATION for our 24 romoured players in, and our 9 possible/definite players out, but has Mclaren fallen for the so called Doughty trick which seems to have a strict limit of sighnings coming in? Mclaren will look to keep ALL OF OUR PLAYERS if possible as he has clearly said over and over again. As this has been summed up so well and realistically by me in my opinion, all you lot out there who put 'out of this world' rumours, I think even you'll agree that this is realisically what the situation is regarding players soming in.

If you look at the way I've TRUTHFULLY LISTED THE RUMOURS IN THE REAL WORLD, i cant see tooooo many new faces coming in.....maybe just around 3 or 4, and that WILL HAVE TO do for a while. Eventually the Aquisitions Panel and EVERYONE else related with transfers behind the scenes will realize with the club, fans, players, and manager that signings need to be made more regularly just like other rival Championship clubs. Even though that's been said for a long tome, it WILL inevitably happen...wont it?

If you read all of this, thankyou very much because it was very long to read through, but it will pay off because this definitely would have cleared most things up to some extent.

P.S - I am only a 13 year old boy and I wrote this because I'm sick of people putting down silly rumours on this site pretending they've seen someone at The City Ground or that they're the best friend of a player, or someone who works at Forest etc. so, like I already said, to clear everything up realistically, I just felt the need that I HAD to do this.

Believable16 Unbelievable6

I'm not sure what was a bigger waste of time, you writing this or me reading this......
Now go and do your homework or i'm telling your Dad

Great thought out post by a 13 year old. If you are 13, then maybe look at a career in journalism.

Well, this kid clearly has more brains than you, and you prove it by making that reply

Agree0 Disagree0

Didn't Boyd sign for a Turkish club?

Agree0 Disagree0

Nice post- But remember- you've posted what we all are aware of-The whole point of the transfer rumours site is because the odd golden nugget does genuinly surface- you just have to sift the rest- The 1st i heard of Andy Reid for instance was here- despite combing thro other sites

Agree0 Disagree0

Well it ain't breaking news we new all that crap anyway

Agree0 Disagree0

Wow, chill out miserable people the guy puts everything together. think about someone who visits first time? rather then go through it, it's on one page.

What do you think about boatang and us signing an assistant manager ?

I thought the first one was a cracking reply, very funny.

Hank Steinbrenner takeover rumour, spoke to my boss at work today who told me this rumour has legs, he says he's heard that Steinbrenner has been in talks with Doughty for some time now, and is really serious about buying the club, I don't know much about Steinbrenner as a person, but my boss tells me he is very arrogant and outspoken, and not in his opinion the kind of guy who would be prepared to own a percentage of the club but would want full control. As a Forest fan i am hoping ND does not sell the club to Steinbrenner, and if Forest fans think he's the answer to our problems, be careful what you wish for.

Believable5 Unbelievable2

Is your name Mark Arthur?

Doughty and Arthur get out of our football club Officially the worst period in our history. How can anyone be worse? Sorry NOT possible

Whichever muppet wrote that last comment, you're obviously a kid who wasn't around in the Irving Scholar era. If you think this is bad, think again

Can i just make a point. If forest were not going to sign anybody then why has steve McClaren stayed here? Simple he wants to meet the new players face to face have his photo taken with them show them around around the ground and make them feel wanted, something that Marthur has no quality in doing. After they have all met he will then fly out to portugal with his new players and introduce them to the team. now i believe players have already been signed and we have been waiting just a little while longer to reveal who the players are. but one thing that still worries me is McClarens assitant there has been very little talk of this only the rumour of calderwood and dean Saunders.

Believable6 Unbelievable3

Who are these players??

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would we wait this long to unveil new signings, surley if new players were signed up already they would be in portugal with the rest of the squad? The truth is the board is a waste of time and full of lies and all were gonna get is freebies past their sell by date

Agree0 Disagree0

No players have yet been signed
The silence coming from the City Ground is deafening. McClaren has 24 hrs to sign his 8 players if he still intends to be in Portugal on Friday for our game against Spurs reserves. I thought last season's escapades were bad but this is the biggest shambles I have ever witnessed to the start of a season, and no, I do not blame any of this on McClaren. Taxi for messrs Doughnut & Marther

Agree0 Disagree0

I think that McClaren has stayed to ensure the board keep their word and so that he personaly can help to try and sign decent players for peanuts.

Agree0 Disagree0

Can i say the board are a joke us fans let down again

Agree0 Disagree0

We coundn't even afford freebies

Agree0 Disagree0

If players are already signed, why is he still here? if there were players sorted, he would be in portugal,

i think the reason he is he is because no-one is confirmed yet

Spurs are letting some of there squad to train with forest just to make numbers up whe they play

Maynard deal definitely on, Bristol city thought they could demand silly money because it's was Leicester and now They have pulled out, there left with a top striker who will walk for free next June. Paves the way for forest to pay what he is worth around 3 mill. Also have just read that about Ricardo fuller - would be a great signing just can't see it happening.

Believable10 Unbelievable5

Why do you think Maynard is worth 3 Million? I will bet you know that Garner or Billy Sharp would score more goals.Neither are injury prone and know where the back of the net is.

i work at the q. m .c something definatley happening with forest today . club doctor was down there along with a lot of other people . asked around . got told someone was having a medical . dont know who though sorry

Believable11 Unbelievable6

Well i reckon someone who works at a hospital would be able to spell 'definitely' and why would a random employee go out of their way to inform a forum of a club they clearly have no interest in

I reckon you are the same person that posted twice previously today about 'someone' having a medical.

Thats a bit unfare. we all no peopel in the medicil profesions carnt spell. plus it puts peopel of postin.

Skysports.com understands that Swansea are lining up a move for Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Lee Camp.
The Swans were on the look-out for a new keeper following Dorus de Vries' departure for Wolves and they managed to secure the services of Jose Moreira from Benfica.
However, the former Derby and QPR keeper is under contract at the City Ground until 2013 so Swansea would have to stump up a significant fee to prise Camp away from the Reds.

Agree0 Disagree0

2003 all over again, nothing but lies from this board

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't worry, guys; the board wouldn't do something crass like this and anyway, why would Camp want to go to a club that we'll pass on the way to the Prem and not be guaranteed number one spot?

Believable12 Unbelievable7

Hope this is true, but doubt it

Agree0 Disagree0

Why lie?

Agree0 Disagree0

Omg is that the best we can do

Agree0 Disagree0

Says who?

Agree0 Disagree0

Unlikely Forest would use the QMC for medicals - too public & NHS. Probably use private clinic in The Park or even the facilities at the CG.

Agree0 Disagree0

All medical have to be conducted by a senior doctor/consultant, they are always at private hospitals, mainly the Park Hospital in Woodborough

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Jul 2011 15:35:03
Just seen on SSN that Swansea are in for Lee Camp :-(

Believable9 Unbelievable7

Stop lying you proon im watching Sky Sports and their trying to get stockdale from Fulham

Agree0 Disagree0

True, but theyve no chance. He's contracted till 2013 and will prob be captain or vice next season. plus board know that if they sell him, we'd lynch them

Agree0 Disagree0

Doesn't mean it'll get accepted. :P

Agree0 Disagree0

They wont get him, why would he go to swansea if he could have gone to Villa? The club wants him to stay and he is happy to oblige, who knows he could be captain next year

Agree0 Disagree0

If they bid for him it would have to be silly money well over 5million, easily the best gk outside the prem never makes a mistake and is loved by the Fans

Agree0 Disagree0

But could anyone blame him if he wanted to go, with all thats going on at our club i for one would not hold it against him

Agree0 Disagree0

Load of crap

Agree0 Disagree0

Ok, i guess you cant post links on here so to the chap calling me a liar, go to the sky sports website in the football area and read it and weep.

Agree0 Disagree0

If they sell Camp(which i hope they dont) who is going to replace him...Smith?

If they do sell him..then Doughty needs to get out of this club

Agree0 Disagree0

They can have him for 4.5 million.Paul Smith is as good as him anyday. It is more important that the 4 in front are sorted.

Believable6 Unbelievable6

He's one of our best players, he won't leave I think. Too loyal to the club hopefully, and also the fact Swansea will be lucky to stay up next season...

today at school i saw Wayne Routledge. he was at the Nottingham Bluecoat School. i asked him what he was doing, he said 'passing through'.. i got an autograph:D

Believable14 Unbelievable10

Picture the autograph and put it on the sightings page as proof ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes you got 'an' autograph, but you don't say whose?

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah, he regularly passes through schools, does he?......hmmmmm. Don't believe this somehow.

Agree0 Disagree0

My Daughter (keen tricky) goes to bluecoat school and hasn't heard a whisper

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would a Newcastle player be at a Nottingham school? find the kids that spoke to him and let them tell us.

I feel our problem is having the acquisitions committee.

ND and MA are involved here and can see why in their job role, but David Pleat?

I think it's a case of too many cooks.

Believable14 Unbelievable0

I agree why David PleatIf he's got the best intentions for Forest but not wanting to spend loads of money on players, then why doesn't he try and get some young up and coming players from his beloveded Spurs

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm sorry, I misread the word "cooks" there. I don't suppose this will get posted if I tell you what I misread it as so I'll leave that to your imagination

I think something is going on at the city ground. I was down meadow lane getting some supplies from the office shop and decided to take a walk up past the ground. There was the east Midlands news van and a few cars parked all along the back gates near the pitch diner. Maybe it was just the players getting ready to go to portugal? ED have you heard anything?

Believable10 Unbelievable2

They went last Night to Birmingham

NewsNow-Which usually has some sort of forest update everyhour on transfer news has been quiet for the last 2 days..........
Is this a case of us beginning to give up on our current targets or the age old saying of ''the calm before the storm'' ;)

Believable6 Unbelievable3

No mate it means were not going to sign anyone

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets hope calm before the storm

For those who think were not going to sign anyone needs to get a grip

Wasn't hank steinbrenner interested in 2008 ? and
This rumour flaring up again because someone mentioned
Doughtys in financial trouble

Believable5 Unbelievable6

Google the guy and it all comes back to 2008 or 2009 and we're one club out of a host named - no live current rumours just people bored and wanting to see there name on the web

Agree0 Disagree0

Would guess that's why the interest has started hank made no secret of wanting to buy the club but ND flat refused maybe this is seen as his chance to get the club and buy ND out

Hank Steinbrenner wants to buy a club preferably in the Premier League. But also has an interest in Nottingham Forest. The Premier League teams he's rumoured to be interested in are Blackburn and Spurs which I suppose would be harder to buy then Forest right? I'm not saying this rumour is true. You can Google it and all that and it'll tell you everything I've said.

Believable5 Unbelievable9

It's on a Facebook page type hank Steinbrenner nottingham forest in on google and go on the Facebook link then scroll down to read it, but also he is interested in buying spurs

Agree0 Disagree0

So your jumping on the band wagon and copying my post. Those articles are from 2008. I have heard this from a member of the Yankees set up who I know from when I lived it new york this is my source yours is google,

Agree0 Disagree0

If you google it you find a bunch of people who've copied your rumour off here. What does that prove?

Routledge may still be on he agreed terms it's just Newcastle wouldn't do a deal without mcgugan. Forest told them we wouldn't even sell for 10mill. Promise has been made that no big names will leave. So with Leicester spent up it may be on for the 1.5 agreed. Other deals trying to be worked
Ricardo fuller
Michael turner
Shorey
Goodwillie
Greening
Hulse
Kieron dyer

All pretty decent signings but I wish we would get a move on

Believable13 Unbelievable17

Watching the AP perform in the transfer market makes watching paint dry aking to watching Formula 1. We seems to track and chase players through their entire careers without signing the. what are we trying to do, bore them into submission?

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes. For God sake AP get a move on or half of them will have retired and we'll be in the Bluye Square conference before you make a serious move to sign them.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dyer on pay as you play at QPR

Agree0 Disagree0

Rob hulse decent???

Agree0 Disagree0

RE WR that bit is rubbish. You can't even begin to negotiate with a player until the club have agreed a terms.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dyers at Ipswich not qpr

Agree0 Disagree0

Dyer was on loan to Ipswich but is a free agent after being released by West Ham. He has been in talks with QPR about a deal having trained with them as he wishes to stay in London. Source Independant

Agree0 Disagree0

Hulse because Bothroyd?Dyer already signed at QPR. Get off the herbal tabs and try to be original loser

Leicester...

Agree0 Disagree0

No mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

Prob signing for Leicester after we verbally agreed 12k a wk and then write 8k a week on the contract.... It's embarrassing.... Considering we must of saved at least 100k a week on the players who've left.

Agree0 Disagree0

Im sorry as much as i want the board gone that 12k down to 8k story isbull the players agent involved would of sold that story straight away

Agree0 Disagree0

Would a player on the fringe of the England team consider playing in the Championship this coming season, with Euro 2012 on the horizon ? A good season with any Prem team and they could be on the plane to Poland/Ukraine.

Coming home for the weekend before prem starts you pr%t

Forest will today complete the signings of Rob Hulse from QPR and Michael Turner from Sunderland in time for Portugal, with Keith Andrews and Marvin Sordell in advanced talks.

Believable11 Unbelievable17

I am sure scrohel has just moved else where.... so rubbish 2bh

Agree0 Disagree0

Really... really.... Michael Turner, who is on 40k a week at sunderland and was captain when fit last season. Man you come right out of a comic book

Agree0 Disagree0

Is that the same Michael Turner who cost 10m a year ago? Utter tosh

Would love Michael Turner to sign

Rob Hulse, i'd rather poke my own eye out.

Rumblings of discontent from the training ground, several players dismayed by big reduction in the squad...some high profile players expected to hand in transfer requests when they return from Portugal.

Believable8 Unbelievable19

Don't talk wet

The one thing i know about forest players are that they love the club

Even tyson said he loved the club to bits just his contract from the board was not the right amount he wanted.

Agree0 Disagree0

If you love the club you never sign for derby plank anywhere but there

Agree0 Disagree0

High profile...what hight profile players......we haven't got any

Agree0 Disagree0

High profile ? the likes of Camp and Chambers...

The wayne routledge deal has fallen through with Forest therefore we should no longer speculate about it. Newcastle pulled the plug on the deal because they wanted a straight swap with McGugan and Steve McClaren was having none of it
However it will be interesting to see what happens in the next few days......Tim Matavz and Siphewe Tshabalala have apparently met the manager this week with furthur talk and would be two key additions, with hopefully if a deal can be struck the signing of Jonathan Greening to repace Paul McKenna

Believable15 Unbelievable14

If that's t he truth they wanted the swap, I'm glad we didn't do it...

Agree0 Disagree0

If we get Matavs, I'll cut my wilkins off and post it to McClaren.
