heard from a friend that cotterill signed craddock before he went, personally i would go for whitbread as he is a freebie, ps, has anyone seen the new slimline Reid?..must have lost 2 ston at least. {Ed034's Note - Reidy has been out jogging most days

Believable5 Unbelievable7

You can tell, he played well last year, could be superb if he keeps the timber off!

Agree11 Disagree3

We signed Craddock? Surely we'd have heard that by now if it was true.

Agree11 Disagree2

So happy to hear that about super Andy.
IERM

Agree8 Disagree1

2 ston! At least we know your a local lad.lol

Agree7 Disagree2

Craddock is an old man....we want younger

Agree4 Disagree2

Has Reidy stopped eating pizza at Antonios?

Agree5 Disagree4

Cradocks 36 ain't he? And maybe we'll start laying off the pie jokes about Reidy now.

Agree1 Disagree5

Dublin win the Sam Maguire Cup,made Andy a happy bunny, pays to be fit! only Irish need apply! you know what i mean Ed? GAA DONEGAL RED

Agree3 Disagree4

Reidy is daft if he has Pizza at Antonios, it's all about The Canneloni. It tastes the same today as it did when my dad said "do you know who that is on the next table?no dad who? That is Peter Shilton.I was 7 I'm 30 this year

Agree1 Disagree3

Craddock was left out of Wolves pre season tour and is a big favourite of McCarthy.....just saying! Perfect experienced player to help bring on Lascelles.

Iam good freinds jermaine jenas hes told me he s coming back to forest with tom huddleston and also matty upson will be joining very soon things. aint working out also he said that forest may be be putting in. a bid for jordan rhodes or jay bothroyd

Believable8 Unbelievable20

Theres always someone being told summat by a new signing makes me laugh as if they would say owt before released to press

Agree8 Disagree4

If I were 'good friends' with a well known footballer, the last thing I would be doing is posting information about him on a rumours site. Some 'good friend' you are........or maybe not.

Agree14 Disagree2

Sod all got released to press when cot was fired

Agree3 Disagree2

TOTALY AGREE WITH YOU , SOME FRIEND U R

Agree8 Disagree2

I can only see huddlestone on loan coz he is class but may need to do a ramsey like deal to regain fitness but upson jenas rhodrs bothroyd ect are the type of signings we want and need

Agree3 Disagree4

So bbc skysports papers are not press get a grip pal

Agree1 Disagree3

If they are not the press, then the press does not exist. maybe it was made up by Rowling or Tolkien.

Agree1 Disagree3

Jeans has completed a three year deal this evening and am also told of huddlestones interest good time ahead I feel

Agree1 Disagree6

Good friend you ate not why make things up
He is staying at spurs but would like to end his career with the reds but not yet
From best source

Agree1 Disagree3

2bf i have a mate who is a pro footballer and he does tell me things he dont mind going public, and tells me things he wants keeping hush hush. So this could be the case with this guy, although i do doubt it in this case.

Army

Agree0 Disagree2

All the papers are saying MM could be appointed today, hope something happens soon so we can start building the squad

Agree1 Disagree1

Several lads from Kuwait who told us about Hasawi have stated that Jermaine is about to sign up for Forest along with an un named left back. As of last night they were trying to find out the name of the left back. These lads communicate with Fawaz on twitter so no reason to doubt. Also pictures on twitter showed Fawaz meeting several Kuwait players in London, they have arrived for a trial at Forest

Agree3 Disagree2

Upson is a possibility as I said last week. Craddock set to be released by Wolves and would link up with Mick if asked. Great player to develop youngsters.

Agree1 Disagree2

Stephen Ward anyone? Irish isn't he and a LB. Would make sense with the McCarthy talks today and if Guedioura is the ex-Forest playmaker.

Agree1 Disagree1

Stephen ward is mad micks son in law so i,ve heard from the wolves lads.

Agree0 Disagree1

Mm has refused the job on 6.30 bbc news

Forest sign a European left back and nottingham forest ex playmaker... i assume thats Jermain Jenas

Believable12 Unbelievable4

Wheres your info from {Ed034's Note - Twitter. From what it sounds like, the guy is usually spot on

Agree5 Disagree3

I reckon it will be Adlene. Do we know if the guy who has tweeted it is genuine?

J

Agree1 Disagree1

LB will be Elokobi and ex Midfielder will be Adlene G, which probably means MM is gonna be manager

RG09

Agree6 Disagree1

Either Jenas or Guedioura. His name's been floating about too. But then why wouldn't it? Exciting times. {Ed034's Note - What a midfield it would be with both

Agree5 Disagree0

Apart from this is the man who said we were getting a Chilean manager, which I'm rather sceptical about.......

Agree3 Disagree1

Prutton, Cash or Merino? And leftback is Felix Bastians?

Agree2 Disagree5

Speaking to a wolves fan earlier and mm and adlene did not get on

Agree4 Disagree3

That's odd because apparently the reason adlene sent out on loan was because he was recovering from a broken leg or so I'm told

RG09

Agree3 Disagree1

Thought Pep was sent out on loan because of a bust up with ebanks-blake

Agree4 Disagree2

That and he had a major fight with Ebanks blake . S EB was needed more than Guediora so it was an easy desicion who should move on.

Agree2 Disagree1

Prutton..That's the stupidest thing I've ever read on here and there's been some real belters just lately!

Agree2 Disagree1

The rumour about E banks blake is def true i work by the custard bowl and heard if off wolves fans and roger johnson likes a few sherberts as well if we ever get linked with him!

Agree1 Disagree1

Felix Bastians was doing well in the Bundesluga for a few seasons as LB. I'd take him if thats the position he still players, but I doubt its him.

J

Agree2 Disagree1

Same bastians that was in forest academy ?

Agree1 Disagree0

15 Jul 2012 20:06:27
we have signed a left back and an ex forest player jenas could this mean we have a manager in place already?

Believable5 Unbelievable3

Could it be Pep?? Ex forest playmaker

Agree6 Disagree2

How about adlene guedioura and elokobi? match the description? and avaliable for around 1m could be them as there were rumours we had placed bids when cotterill was still manager! just reading between the lines could be wrong

Agree5 Disagree1

Sorry - didn't mean to disagree with last post. Was trying to copy twitter name - damn IPhone!! This all sounds really promising - I for one would love Jenas back at the City Ground and I could absolutely see this happening. Exciting times!!

Agree4 Disagree2

It wouldn't be Elokobi, hes not European hes from Cameroon.

Agree5 Disagree1

It'd make sense as McCarthy looks very close to being our manager. Ex-Forest playmaker is either Guedioura or Jenas, more likely the former and it maybe Elokobi, although he is from Cameroon.

May be reading too much into this, but have you noticed that Elokobi and Guedioura have been off Twitter for a week? Just speculating.

Forest bringing over 4 Middle Eastern players for trials, but a quick check of FA website shows work permit criteria is playing 75% of comp internationals in last 2 years when available and more importantly being an average of 70th or higher in the FIFA rankings - Kuwait currently 93rd, Syria 132nd - so I don't think that is a goer...

Believable3 Unbelievable4

It can go to appeal though and amongst the lets kick racism out of football campaign coupled with the john terry affair i could see them being granted moves to broaden the spectrum of players involved in the uk

Agree3 Disagree1

There are other contingencies if this criteria is not met. Keep reading the rules and you will see or scroll down on here, someone posted it a couple of days ago.

Rigby84

Agree0 Disagree0

I think if any of the players prove to be good enough to play in England they'll getbwork permits - it's a good way of encouraging youngsters from middle-eastern backgrounds to take up football, it'll also create further interest from other clubs (go back 20 years, how many players from Asia and Africa played here then compared to now?!?)

Agree1 Disagree1

Let's be honest, would the al-hasawi family be bringing them on trial if he didnt think they'd be able to sign if they wanted to..? {Ed034's Note - Good point

Agree2 Disagree0

There's a whole lot of players on trail at the moment not just the one's mentioned

Agree0 Disagree0

The Syrian striker tweeted last week that his brother was coming over with all of the relevant paperwork and to join the Hasawi's here so that work could be prepared on the work permit.
Surely if he has now arrived it must mean that any prelim discussions must of been favourable or he wouldn't of bothered getting on a plane at all or sending the brother (whos chairman of a football club)out on a reccy?

Agree0 Disagree0

Paul Robinson on trial but stands no chance with Mick. Past history!

Agree0 Disagree0

The news that Forest have been bought by 'Mega-Rich' kuwaitis will be enough for every average and has-been footballer to want to come on trial at Forest. Many ex-prem fringe players will see this as a potential easy payday!

Agree1 Disagree0

Nottingham Forest will appoint Mick McCarthy as early as Tuesday having already met with MM today {Ed034's Note - If they met today and both parties are happy, why not tomorrow???

Believable7 Unbelievable5

I don't mind if it Mick McCarthy. He is down to earth has contacts and according to the press has a sizeable amount to spend on players. Also heard that the current players have been offered a pay rise so they feel more settled. All we need now is a really big name to sign and we shall be a force again.

Agree6 Disagree4

HA HA. Just been watching premier league years. The comment was "After being relegated following an abysmal season" At this point I looked up to see MM leading out Sunderland. To be far they did win the Championship the following year, but it made me laugh. He would def get us promoted, more than likely next season once he has had chance to put his stamp on things, but surely M O'Neill after that.

Agree5 Disagree3

To be honest the appointment of Mick Mc would not inspire the forward thinking that was stated at the press conference on Saturday. The Kuwait input to the club as a concern will benefit from new fresh young blood. However, if they appoint a manager to purely get us out of the division MM is a good call, then replace with prem standard. I believe Forest have the bosses to do the business, clever people, so lets not forget we have a chance to be the club we were, with the new ways of thinking, ie money talks, love the outlook and the future looks bright. COYR GF

Agree3 Disagree2

MM is flying in for his meeting tomorrow, not today. But mark my words, don't rule out HK.
IERM {Ed034's Note - HK?

Agree0 Disagree3

Must be Harry kegrapp !

Agree2 Disagree1

Hong Kong Phooey!lol
Sorry typo I meant HR.
Exciting week ahead,I'm surprised we have not had more rumours/sightings of the Al Hasawi's manager meetings.

Agree1 Disagree0

Ive no doubt MM would get us up, how long that takes is anybodys guess. Didnt he spend almost 50Million and took 3 years to get Wolves up? Its still 'arry for me.

Agree3 Disagree2

I posted this and there is so much they are trying to do, it would be better anounced with a press conference with MM on Tuesday

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Jul 2012 18:15:02
Heard on talksport that Marc Bircham has been sounded out with Mick Mc Carthy. MB to be director of football role. However after listening to the press conference the al-hawasi are traditional in there manager beliefs. ie running the show from top to bottom. Personally still think Harry would be the best candidate. But its never gonna happen, gets a nose bleed as soon as he passes oxford.

Believable5 Unbelievable3

Played golf with Charlie Macparland yesterday Erewash Valley invitation.
Been assured Roy Keane has not applied or
been approached. They r good mates & Charlie was his assistant at Ipswich.
So as of yesterday afternoon it is not Keane.

Believable12 Unbelievable3

We all know Mick is the favourite, if he and the Al-Hasawi's have productive talks tomorrow then maybe there won't be anymore interviews elsewhere because of the urgency of getting a manager in.

I believe that when they say they'll have discussions with 4/5 people, that doesn't necessarily mean they'll be holding formal talks with that many. If they are impressed with Mick then expect him to be announced Monday/Tuesday

In my opinion {Ed034's Note - lets hope it's Monday and bids for players are accepted Tuesday

Agree5 Disagree0

Sunderland and Wolves fans will be laughing there heads off if Mick gets the job, they know what he is like just ask the real fans not happy clappers {Ed034's Note - I love the way you are only a 'real fan' if you are never happy and constantly moaning about the team, players, manager etc but if you get behind your team and see the positives, your a 'happy clapper'.
I always thought you are a 'real fan' if you do everything to get behind your team, but then again I'm just a 'happy clapper', so don't listen to me

Agree6 Disagree0

Haha ed bang on yet again! left the 'real fan' red faced!

BIG UP THE HAPPY CLAPPERS!

Agree3 Disagree0

So Ed shall we see what happens if Mick gets the the job then, did you see the team Mick picked for wolves against there arch enemies west brom, he picked a weak team and he must of known they were going to get hammered so you clap on eddie boy.
this forest fan is a realist and watches football alot and knows i alot about MM. When our new owners realise what they have given the job to it will be too late get a good manager in not a throw back from the seventies {Ed034's Note - How about you add a name to the bottom of each post and if mm doesn't work out, I'll say your right. Just give whoever we get a chance

Agree2 Disagree0

This guy says he watches a lot of football,

did you ever happen to watch Mick McCarthy get 2 teams promoted as champions, or did you miss that being a 'real fan'

Clap on boys!

Agree3 Disagree0

I am sick and tired of getting crap managers like mcarthy,, he might do well at start but when he gets his claws in thats when trouble starts ,he never talks to the fans, he called wolves fans numpties but he is the person.

I am Dave from burton on Trent so remember that when he its goes pear shape {Ed034's Note - Ok dave from burton on Trent, I will.

Agree1 Disagree0

I agree with Ed we need to give whoever it is a chance, no one wanted BD when he first came but now look and another small example a certain Mr. B Clough an epic fail at Leeds then a move to D***y, no many wanted him but the fans back them gave him a chance, the rest as they say is HISTORY :-)
Glenn

Agree1 Disagree0

If MM is crap then god knows what that makes some of our recent managers.....he is the type they will go for to establish a base to get us into Prem and he is more than capable of that.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would Sunderland and Wolves fans laugh at MM coming to Forest? I'm sure he got both of them promoted to the Premier League.
If he takes Forest up then he will have served his purpose. The objective will be promotion (and in my opinion he should be given 2 seasons to achieve that) and if he achieves it then great. There's plenty of Billy lovers on here but MM's record stands up to his.

a friend of a mate of my aunts husbandsays that jurgen klinsmann is the man to take over the mantle at the city ground. me personally do not like the idea, but will be giving my full support to the team, and hope to be proved wrong. coyr

Believable0 Unbelievable16

Aunt's husband! ...then why not say Uncle? Another contrived lie. You must be so stupid you've fallen over your own words. Must try harder.

Agree6 Disagree3

Why would he want to leave USA?

Agree0 Disagree1

Wow. terrible post.

Agree4 Disagree1

My granny told better stories

Agree2 Disagree0

Maybe Aunt and Uncle split up and she's married another geezer in which case IRS not his uncle? However I still believe the post is a load of tosh

Agree1 Disagree0

To the first reply, if you're going to try to be clever, then the husband of the poster's aunt would be their uncle-in-law, actually. {Ed034's Note - I can't believe I'm getting involved in this, but isn't a uncle just an uncle, even if they have married after you are born?? God I'm bored

Agree1 Disagree1

My wifes Mother in law's Brother has heard from his sisters mum that Jurgen Kilnsmann is going to be our new manager. Yehhh right. Prizes for guessing who this person would be in relation to me?? {Ed034's Note - A very distant relative-in-law

Harry redknapp in talks with forest now the owners have persuaded him,he looks to bring louis Saha Danny rose jake Livermore and andros Townsend to the club, with lascelles going the other way.sounds promising to me

Believable15 Unbelievable18

Source ?

Agree4 Disagree3

Sounds like bovine to me ;)

Agree1 Disagree4

As i post a couple of days ago, danny rose is coming to us n lascelles other way.no redknapp though.havnt heard about livermore though.

Agree4 Disagree0

Sounds like total tosh to me!

Agree3 Disagree2

Funny how saha pops up in a fake photo now his name is everywere, livermore was in spurs team last year do u really think he will drop all that to come to forest? townsend and rose will go on loans will go on loan to teams in london makes it easyer for them,

Agree2 Disagree1

So Harry can decide who goes where in Spurs? Is he still their manager??

Agree2 Disagree0

Saha was released at the end of his contract.

he isn't spurs player to offer as a makeweight in a transfer deal.

Lascelles is going nowhere!

i have been told that the 5 managers forest are talking too are:

Mick McCarthy
Roy Keane
Phil Brown
Gordan Strachen
Paul Ince

who would you have then ?

Believable3 Unbelievable11

So much for it been an iconic manager!

Agree7 Disagree3

So thats means its down to 2then mick and keano , keane for me

Agree5 Disagree6

1 Paul Ince
2 Mick McCarthy
3 Phil brown
4 Gordon Strachen
5 Roy keane

Based on your question ( not sure this is the 5 we are talking to though )

Agree2 Disagree6

None of the above!!

Agree8 Disagree2

If its Phil Brown (iconic?) then I would give my season ticket back. Bloke is an person.
Out of those 5 I would say MM then Keane. Still clinging on to a bit of hope that they can convince Harry but unlikely. MM would get us out of the champ i think

Agree3 Disagree2

Wouldn't rate any of these as "iconic" at all, Mick is best of a bad bunch here

RG09

Agree6 Disagree1

Defo not Gordon Strachen they claimed it was some1 who knows this league and if i can remember rightly he f***ed Middlesbrough right over so has no clue in this league

Agree7 Disagree0

Redknapp is definitley one of the 4-5. Mad Mick is another. And if we are talking 'iconic' and 'best in the business' there is no way we are not talking Sven and Scolari.

I can't imagine Fergie Jnr or Keane could anywhere close in the running.

512

Agree5 Disagree1

My season ticket also goes back if phil brown comes, Ince also! Not much of a list is it! MM it is then.

Was watching Prem League Years on Sky last night, whatever happened to John Gregory? No that I'm suggesting that we would want him of course, just what happened to him?! {Ed034's Note - I've got a feeling I know what the response to this will be

Agree0 Disagree0

Bryan Roy, iconic with forest fans, and doing good job with Ajax youngsters!

Agree3 Disagree1

The iconic in this list is Keane. I hope we can do the impossible and get Redknapp

Agree3 Disagree1

Can i ask why would anyone want roy keane ? he was awful at ipswich

Agree6 Disagree1

He's ex Forest mate!

Ipswich are awful anyway, plus you're forgetting he got Sunderland promoted as champions of the Championship

Agree5 Disagree3

Do you think brian laws could be one of them ? {Ed034's Note - I'd be surprised

Agree1 Disagree4

I'd prefer keane, if only because i'd like to see what he makes of david mcgoldrick.

mcgoldrick would leave the club a broken man and rightfully so.

Agree2 Disagree0

Thought Al Hasawi family said that they are talking to four or five managers out of a job and already in a job, all of those five are out of job.

Agree0 Disagree0

Like to see what he makes on mcgugan and ish too, i think he will probs send them packing

Agree0 Disagree0

To the poster who said "Roy Keane is ex Forest" so therefore should be considered, as far as I remember Andrei Silenzi is ex Forest but you wouldn't want him running the team. So Keane made his name at Forest, doesn't mean he knows how to manage. He's a crap manager; he won't be considered if they have any sense, so get over it.

Agree2 Disagree2

Keane is not an option for owners who want stability. You must also remember that they want to develop youngsters. Brown is a joke, but McCarthy is a strong option. I reckon they are lining up McCarthy as a sure thing if they cannot persuade Harry.

Agree1 Disagree0

How can Bryan Roy be iconic with forest after what he said about the people and the city??

Agree0 Disagree1

15 Jul 2012 13:08:19
Mick McCarthy to appointed NFFC manager early on next week and Sign Elokobi Kightly and Louis Saha

Believable8 Unbelievable7

The saha pic is of elokobi from when he first signed with forest with sahas head on ! so thats rubbish. rest might be true though, however i dont think we have heard the end of this manager business

Agree3 Disagree4

Mick McCarthy to get you out of the championship as he has experience of this, then after 6 months in the prem ,walk away with a big wedge of dosh in the pocket and replace him with an established premiership manager with pedigree and clout to keep prolonged premiership status.

Agree10 Disagree2

McCarthy to come in, get us up and then be shipped out to make way for a better quality manager once we are in the Prem ........... and what would be the problem with that?

If/When we make the Prem we'd be in a better position to attract a higher quality of player and manager. At the minute we need a guy to get us up there

Agree7 Disagree1

15 Jul 2012 12:36:05
Maurice Edu and Carlos Bocanegra are players the new owners are keen on and could put there hand in there pocket before manager comes in because of rangers newco situation

Believable7 Unbelievable4

Id like to see Andros Townsend come to our club i think it would benefit both parties. he is quick and gets good crosses in!

Agree5 Disagree1

Iv heard this to not bad players if they come

There was a reporter from The People on Talksport earlier saying Mick McCarthy will be appointed in the next 48 hours and will get around £20m to spend. He also mentioned Marc Bircham is likely to be appointed as Director of Football in the next week.

Believable7 Unbelievable7

U can only spend 12m this year and 6 next {Ed034's Note - Unless your ruling to pay the fine

Agree2 Disagree3

Al Hasawis already said they won't have a Director of Football

Agree6 Disagree0

Or get promoted

Agree1 Disagree1

Is it just fine? No potential points penalties or other serious sanctions?

Agree0 Disagree0

This financial fair play just feels like its designed badly :/

Agree2 Disagree0

Not if a lot is added in sponsorship there are many ways of "making"money to get round ffp

Agree4 Disagree0

Yhh the ffp rules have loads of holes in it. It wont be as effective as its making it out to be

Agree1 Disagree0

Who's Marc Brircythingy?

Agree1 Disagree2

Financial fair play does not start til 2014. There are ways around it.

Agree2 Disagree1

Many owners, especially rich benefactors, will see any FFP fines as an accepatable tax in order to make it in to the Prem.

What ever the fine is will be far out weighed by the potential earnings from 1 year in the Premiership. If the club manage to stay up and remain up for many seasons after then it would be jsut a drop in the ocean :D

Agree1 Disagree0

15 Jul 2012 11:45:10
The Al-Hasawis will not be giving the new manager £20million to spend. Their transfer plan is to allow one 'stellar signing' in the region of £3million and then around 5 or 6 others that are either free transfers or less than £1million.
Hearing that they want Jordan Rhodes at the club regardless of manager as they have heard rave reviews from their English football consultants, so he is most likely the stellar signing they have promised

Believable5 Unbelievable12

Rhodes is hardly stellar

Agree4 Disagree3

15 Jul 2012 11:18:11
Four people on the shortlist for the managers job are Mick McCarthy, Roy Keane, Darren Ferguson and Gordon Strachan. The possibility of a fifth man is Harry Redknapp, but that is unlikely.

McCarthy is in poll position at the moment and will meet the owners sometime on Monday.

Believable6 Unbelievable5

If we are seriously thinking of Darren Ferguson then I too should be considered for the job I am from an engineering background but have 25 years experience watching premership and championship football which I feel gives me an advantage;)

Agree10 Disagree1

I still cant see the point of darren ferguson. The only reason he is doing well at pborough is all the loan signings.

Agree2 Disagree0

15 Jul 2012 10:47:05
Dont know about anyone else but I was very disappointed with the press conference...it was very short, we didnt hear any of the questions of the 100 fans or the answers to them...and we had been expecting a manager to be revealed and a few new players....another few days, maybe a week before we get a manager...and then we need to build a first 11 let alone a squad. If you ask me, sacling of cotterill was crazy, they should have given him a few mill to plug the gaps (get in pep, elokobni and some cnetrla defenders) start proper prep for the new season and give him till Xmas. I cant help feeling that leaving things sooo late is going to have a negative affect on us at the start of the season, a bit like the farce with McClaren and signings/not signings at the end of last summer. Why or why do we always make it harder for ourselves at forest ? Oh my rumour is Southgate unfortunately ! Another failed boro manager.

Believable9 Unbelievable12

The 100 fans weren't meeting them until 2 so woulda been a very long press conference if it had. I think the press conference was great, they made clear that we arent a hobby and they won't throw money at anything that's not viable we don't want to end up like festa! Foreign owners who know nowt about football

Agree13 Disagree1

Southgate was top of the league when Boro fired him, hardly a failure

Stuart Pearce has agreed to meet with the new owners. He meets the status of iconic and also is recognised for his work and development of younger players with the U21 squad.

Pearce has yet to be convinced the job is right, though he would love to return.

Believable13 Unbelievable7

Update: I can tell you Pearce has asked if he can be the last person to discuss the role.

The reason is because if he feels the job is right, he wants to ask for the position there and then knowing the owners have seen all candidates.

I have no further info at the stage.
His wish has not yet been granted.

I'll keep you posted {Ed034's Note - I'm not sure how it would work with regards to signing players, training etc while he's at the olympics, but this guy is my hero and would love it

Agree1 Disagree0

Psycho is an icon thats without doubt but not sure if he is the right man to build a team to win promotion. They said they want good football and he is negative and caustious as a manager. Remember when he named a team with 12 players ed when caretaker? {Ed034's Note - i do lol i thought it was a masterstroke

Agree2 Disagree0

Today Mick McCarthy has ruled himself out of the job, this is apparently purely to save face. He did not want to compete against other hopefuls with the risk of losing out as it could damage his reputation.

MM walked away when he realised he could not create a one horse race.

The board have committed to 2 candidates including Pearce that they will meet and want to keep their word.

With respect to Pearce being the last interviewee I have no further information. Sorry

Fahad Al Enezi has signed he did an interview in kuwait yesterday saying thank you to the fans of kuwait sporting club so much for the manager having final say on who signs for us he looks a good player but a bit clumsy on the ball and a bit of a one man band

Note on the culb website about it

No he's for the new coach, manager is different

Agree1 Disagree2

When did he ever had success with an English team?

Agree1 Disagree1

No, when he says coach he means manager in the sense that AVB is called Spurs' "head coach".

4 to 5 managers?? MM is def one of them, and I would say Roy Keane too. The rest is kind of a mystery, although I didn find it very interesting when they refused to answer whether they'd spoken to Harry. Don't see them talking to Ferguson or Billy, as the sacking of Cotterill was because they felt a new maanger was needed for a new start. Billy would be going backwards. So, who are the other 2-3 people. No-one has mentioned Warnock, but they have publicly come out saying they would like him. Personally I would hate this. Maybe Stuart Pearce would be in there. He's currently in London for the Olympics, and is def iconic. Harry Redknapp the other once again already in London. If they have any sense they'd also speak to Holloway. They spoke about passion and morale quite a lot, and I just get the impression they're looking at previous players to fit the iconic tag as oppose to a legendary manager. Any thoughts?? {Ed034's Note - Exciting isn't it

Agree2 Disagree1

MM would jump at the chance to manage Forest...the fact that no deal has been done already suggests that the now owners are working long and hard on someone else...Redknapp!!...with MM as a fall back position!!

Ian holloway?i do not think they will spend any more cash on compensation.next manager wont be in work at this moment.(thoughts ed). {Ed034's Note - I disagree. If there preferred choice is employed, I think they'll pay whatever is needed. But saying that I think it'll be McCarthy

Just checked the Santiago times and he's a good manager but has only recently pledged himself to his current club for the rest of the 2012 season. UAE and Spanish interest before but definitely nothing from nottingham forest.

FC was only brought in to steady the ship when ND stood down, after being approached to be manager. Did a decent job mainly in making bamford money available to SC which kept us up

Still think martin o neill possible or at least high on wish list. Think its fair to say we would think owners walked on water if they managed that fits iconic and championship experience status as well {Ed034's Note - Im afraid there's bob hope. He is managing the team he supporters as a boy, in the prem and doing a great job. Why would he step down a division to manage us???

I can't believe more people aren't mentioning Holloway. I think he would be perfect as the next Forest Manager; he ticks all the boxes. He has experience at this level and also knows how to get a team promoted, his sides play exciting attacking football which suits the philosophy of the club. You could argue that he wasn't able to keep Blackpool up once they got promoted, but he was unlucky and he nearly did it on a very low budget. Imagine what he could do with the financial backing that is now in place at forest.
